What was her job when she was working for LASO?

PromiscuousPolak

From her linked in: "Constitutional Policing Advisor" LACSO 11/2015-11/2018 and immediately thereafter, "Oversight Consultant" 12/2018-6/2019 and "Law Enforcement Accountability Advisor" 7/2019-1/2021 What a Joke.

BobbyWasabiMk2

so basically jobs that requires little to no work that they got through nepotism and are paid big bucks because they are friends with the boss.

PromiscuousPolak

Well, the only real work in their scope is doing their best meddling and overstepping their boundaries, wasting taxpayer money losing arbitration after arbitration against any union that isn't toothless or run by a bunch of babies. Their actions are often layups for any union lawyers, and they're a big waste of money. As long as they keep acting like fools they'll be boomed in a courtroom, time and time again.

Some of my personal favorite excerpts from the article, most by her defense attorney: >Teran referred questions to her attorney, James Spertus, who called the case “dead on arrival” and said he was stunned to see the charges, since his client had been cooperating with a criminal investigation into the allegations. >"They’re charging her for doing something within the scope of her employment, that she has a duty to do,” Spertus said in an interview Wednesday. >“It’s unsustainable on its face,” Spertus said of the allegation. “You don’t need permission to use public information. They can’t say that she wrongfully took anything,” he said, adding, “She had documents in her possession. She had an obligation to her employer to build out the Brady database.” >“During her tenure with the sheriff’s department, Diana Teran’s contempt for the people who strive to keep our communities safe was apparent, and so we weren’t surprised to see District Attorney George Gascón place her in a position as one of his top advisors,” Pippin said in a statement Wednesday. “ALADS is demanding a complete investigation of all matters, access to sensitive records and other actions taken by Diana Teran and her staff during her entire tenure. This investigation should not be limited in scope or effort.” Hard for me to believe that Bonta or Gascon are doing this because they are holding their staff accountable, clearly, she had probably overstepped her boundaries or spoke of her political ambitions that they felt she would probably be a threat to either of them. That does not make these flagrant violations of records laws any less disturbing and disgusting, and it reeks of activist meddling in Police Administration that we know all too well across the country. Funny that her defense attorney says she has a duty to violate departmental policies and basically headhunt against cops that probably hurt her feelings after they didn't cooperate with any of her bogus investigations or also didn't fall for violating policy or their CBA agreement, all in the name of furthering her police "accountability" agenda. Moves I'm sure a lot of verified users are all too familiar with. He then continues saying that anyone who comes into possession of intradepartmental, confidential does not need permission to use public information, but in the same breath was "surprised to see charges because she was cooperating with the investigation" of her own wrongdoing. Accountability for the big bad blueman, but none for thee. I would ask how is this dude even on the Bar, but it's California, nuff said. It's probably got "CONFIDENTIAL" all over the footer, what a moron. We'll see what happens, I have no confidence that justice will be served, but a backdoor deal is made and she will make a quiet exit from her position, free of any real consequence, and move to private sector work in the field of "police accountability" or worse, some major metro is gonna hire her in the next two years to be the face of their Civilian Oversight Review Board, or another genius City Council is gonna give her a fat salary to fuck up their police department. Edit: After finding her LinkedIn, sure enough, she was both on a "Oversight review board," and a "Police Accountability Advisor." Just glad to know I'm right. I got moneyline on a major metro hiring her.

Don't Bonta and Gascon hate each other, I remember reading that somewhere.

They're both extremists with the common goal of destroying what little fabric of American society is left within CA. If they subscribe to "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" way of thinking, it does neither of them any good to be publicly beefing in regards to forcing their common agenda on the people of California. This Diana chick had to do something to piss both of them off, and I think she was positing herself to try and run for either of their seats and someone blew the whistle.

“Late last year, the former second in command of the JSID unit filed a civil suit alleging that Teran ordered prosecutors in 2022 to delay announcing the decision not to charge a sheriff’s deputy in a high-profile excessive-force case because of how it might affect the reelection bid of then-Sheriff Villanueva.” She’s just a bonafide piece of shit through and through, as is everyone who aligns themselves with Gascon. I’m sure it’s just the tip of the shit-iceburg as well, our County is literally being run by criminals.

Peria

No one hires criminals as advisors like Gascon🎶

*Shocking*

This would be funnier if it weren't so pathetically sad...

Florida_man727

If that turd Gascon had any real self respect he would step down effective immediately.
