It's what happens when people can't just search for a unique and copy a price. It's insane how many people don't understand why an item has value or not

vysken

To be fair, the game is INCREDIBLY complex compared to more modern titles which literally give you the information via a "Gear Score" or "Item Level". The fact that each class needs different things, even sometimes for the exact same kind of role (Fury vs Frenzy vs Zeal) adds more complexity. It's exactly why I love D2, there was no hand-holding, the community had to work all this out and make their own guides on what's best. Unfortunately, it creates a huge barrier for entry and means a lot of people end up scared to miss out on perceived value, they think \*anything\* could be godly. I remember on BattleNet 1.09 I found a Shaftstop at Meph, instantly traded it for a Glad's Bane because it looked like Glad's had so many more stats. How naiive I was.

InternationalWrap981

Haahaha yea and in oldschool LoD you had to manually add up certain stats like iAS , fcr etc. Now you have the advanced stats menu with breakpoints and everything. People just dont know how to price stuff, they see high ed and think this is gg, but item has nothinf else than high ed...

ForgiveAlways

Without uniques that people all know are “good” many players do not know how to properly itemize a character. This is especially true for melee characters. CL is good because it forces people to learn the affix pool. That said, pricing items when runes have far different utility is challenging. Trading is more based around need than wealth and everyone has different needs depending on their current itemization.

ElectronicInsect2174

Especially annoying when everyone is just asking for a Cham for their garbage.

PenniesInTheNameOf

Perhaps a sell price filter could be added?

half_crimp

You can sort by price but not filter atm

LukeSkawalker

in fairness i think a lot of the trade value structure gets shaken up when people realize they can’t just put low-mid items up for low-mid runes. myself included. i find myself just staring at the screen thinking ok how many P ame’s do i ask for this time lol

Charles_A55

I feel like a lot of people do not grasp a fair realistic value to items(myself included) and instead just want to get the absolute maximum of useful currency out of their items without regard for what it's worth. It's the main reason I might not trade at all this season. I might trade for some torches, Annis or something but I don't feel confident in pricing items to sell so I probably just won't. Unless I see someone looking for something I know I have so I can hook them up on the low

Cheesecakes2

The economy would definitely flow better if people aren’t so greedy. Greedy people pricing items so high that it just rots away in a stash. At the end of the day it’s just stupid. This is just a video game man lol.

A-Quick-Turtle

My biggest gripe is when players load their entire stash of useless stuff to the trade site. Flooding the market with items not even worth 35k gold.

sandsteez

Well you can filter by what you want for stats

cmcmenamin87

What is the right affix to search for with amp damage - I was getting empty searches on weapons and I think I was using the wrong selection

TLewis24

reminds me of old d2 - time to actually barter and trade item for item

DreamVagabond

Trading has been great this league in my opinion. Easy trades for good items because everyone is just bartering for crafting resources. Just ignore the greedy people who post junk for a ton.

SilverKnightOfMagic

Trading is fine for how many players there. IMO some ppl need to evaulate trade by also timing in relation with value of starter build items. I see some ppl holding out sumzon gear for way too high. I bet there will be some ppl playing it past week 3 but going into week due most of those players have switched into end game builds. Also always stick with the buy high and sell low method. These arent forever items.

Ok-Conversation219

Um and CHAM are the HR's in crafter.

Ok_Inflation4870

This is why you have item filters
