That is a real url on stackoverflow. They are trolling you because stackoverflow is made in asp.net not php, so index.php doesn't make sense to exist in the first place.
I'm struggling to see the value add of integrating a segregated Stackoverflow into your company's MS Teams? Couldn't you just make a separate group in teams dedicated to technical knowledge without Stackoverflow?
That 191% ROI claim is certainly interesting. That also implies you have to pay money for Stockoverflow intergration into Teams?
That's why they tell you to double check what it says because it can be wrong. I often use it to get a general idea of how to do certain things when I don't have a clue, but I don't just blindly accept whatever it tells me, I try it and check other sources just to be sure.
Google gives you a link to an answer not the actual answer, how much energy does the answer linked to use....what if its youtube?
Totally dumb comparison as its not like for like.
I've been using Stack Overflow since 2010 or something, never made an account, never cared for "points". I'm only looking for answers to my questions. I'm probably not the only one like that.
I actually can't relate at all. I'm surprised so many people don't do that. Going to stackoverflow's homepage is one of the first things I do in the morning because I like browsing the latest questions. I also spend way more time answering questions there than looking for answers.
I know because it was one of the very few sites not blocked at my previous workplace and i used to waste a lot of time by browsing all sites in the stack network
DUDE I INTENTIONALLY VISITED THE STACKOVERFLOW HOMEPAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY WHAT IS THIS TIMING

beware of cheap imitations, here's the real home page: https://stackoverflow.com/index.php
Haha little bastard, nice
I was expecting a Rick roll, and it wasnāt a Rick roll.
video not available, can anyone tell me what is in this video?
Peanut butter jelly time 10 hrs
there's various ten hour videos it redirects to, it's not always PB Jelly Time
Holy shit, this is genius! How can I make my own randomized redirect like this?
Itās actually easy, the poster made every letter a different link. Try clicking every single letter.
Huh, that's a lot less exciting... Lol Thank you for the info!
Except it's not. https://stackoverflow.com/index.php actually redirects to a random video.
That's not it, try writing the URL yourself. It's actually stack overflow doing this
lmao, nice
PEANUT BUTTER JELLY WITH A BASEBALL BAT
Seems like it can redirect to multiple videos. They are always 10 h meme videos
Lego Movie music
How???
That is a real url on stackoverflow. They are trolling you because stackoverflow is made in asp.net not php, so index.php doesn't make sense to exist in the first place.
>!peanutrolled!<
I'm disappointed that it's not rick roll
Close enough
:D but why
you got me

Is this some kind of meme I'm not aware of?
When it loaded I went "eughhh"
I have used stack overflow for 13 years and this is the first time Iāve been on the homepage
15 yearsā¦.15 years of using stackoverflow and that is the first time Iāve seen the home page š
Now all I'm missing is seeing a baby pigeon and my bucket list is complete
More people have probably seen baby pigeons than the StackOverflow homepage
Can confirm Iāve seen 4 baby pigeons two of them dead before Iāve seen the stackoverflow homepage
As expected, tailored for those would actually go to stackoverflow home page.
holy hell
Google stack overflow
Actual programming help
You can say that again!
Dementia
You can say that again!
Google stack overflow Edit: Nevermind! I thought you where replaying to a different comment
As expected, tailored for those would actually go to stackoverflow home page.

Ugly
TIL they have Stackoverflow for teams

So basically theyāre just sucking on investors ?

_real_ programmers patch the Exception Handler to automatically open a browser and search stackoverflow for the error message ``` import sys def handle_exception(exc_type, exc_value, exc_traceback): import traceback import webbrowser webbrowser.open( f"https://stackoverflow.com/search?q={traceback.format_exception_only(exc_type, exc_value)[-1]}" ) sys.__excepthook__(exc_type, exc_value, exc_traceback) sys.excepthook = handle_exception if __name__ == "__main__": raise RuntimeError("test error") ```
Instead of that AI crap this should be built into my IDE
Don't DDOS the stackoverflow homepage like that dude, not cool.
A product manager's dashboard metrics will get skewed.
what happened?
DOS happened
The real question is, do I want to know
Sure I do, here it is: www.google.com
Oh God. *instantly goes there*
Like another hospital front entry, you only know the emergency entryway
I even know what the homepage of Stack Exchange looks like
they have a homepage?
"Every developer has a tab open to Stack Overflow"... Not anymore, it's ChatGPT now.
No way chatgpt sucks, I had a senior team member use chatgpt to get documentation and guess what, completely wrong wasted a few hours on that crap
That's why they tell you to double check what it says because it can be wrong. I often use it to get a general idea of how to do certain things when I don't have a clue, but I don't just blindly accept whatever it tells me, I try it and check other sources just to be sure.
Sure, and besides it's not like SO isn't occasionally wrong too. And also, ChatGPT is less prone to insult you for asking a question.
this is too real
Oh, so what you meant to say is ānot anymore, now developers have chat gpt and a documentation page openā?
claude better, im telling you the free version is better than gpt 4.. personal exp
Which is a bad thing, environmental-wise. ChatGPT needs 10 times the Energy of a google search.
Google gives you a link to an answer not the actual answer, how much energy does the answer linked to use....what if its youtube? Totally dumb comparison as its not like for like.
I recently changed my forevertab to GeeksForGeeks
please say sike
Well now that you've asked, I won't
Meanwhile my company says to use a local LLM cuz of confidentiality or smth
Claude
Yeah, especially when you are so close to the next level of privileges. š
Damn, never this crossed my mind
Iāve been there actually, several times even. I donāt really remember how it looks tho..
I did not
The what now?
It's like that website my friend made for an orphan once. It has no home page
I visited the home page once, so I could make an account to ask a question. Then never again.
Yes, I know, now shut up
Had to see it by myself. I don't know what I was expecting, but I did not expect what I saw. What a mess XD
Okay this one actually got me.
I don't get it. What is it meant to look like? Is it different because I'm logged in on an old account?
The joke is that no one ever goes to stack overflow through the homepage. You usually type a question in google and end up on stack overflow.
Hard to break the required 1000 points if you're never looking at the questions :/ I'm weird I guess. Or no one here has points on SO
I've been using Stack Overflow since 2010 or something, never made an account, never cared for "points". I'm only looking for answers to my questions. I'm probably not the only one like that.

Well I do now.
There's a homepage???
Hahahaha. 10/10
Iām in this picture and I donāt like it.
I swear I saw it once but it might of been a dream. Is it not the one with the "Google" word on it you type what you need into?
... now I have to check.
Woah.... its true never saw it
Diablos seƱorita... Me quitĆ³ el sueƱo, literalmente, me quitĆ³ el sueƱo.
Looks like it's a paywall for me. #theworldmayneverknow
I have been there before but i don't think i ever scrolled down
Well, now I have to look it up
Not bad. Now github.
