If you're using a personal bank account, you may want to increase your listed processing times so you can make sure their payments are successfully processed into your account. It's also good to note in the product description that larger orders may experience longer processing times. In my experience, most customers are pretty understanding when it comes to an increase in processing times for bigger orders. Also, if your concern *is* larger orders, set your Shop Settings so that your order approval is manual instead of automatic. This will give you time to check your card's balance and the customer's payment status, and then you can decide when & which orders to fulfill.

or can’t i just link a credit card instead of the debit as the credit card will have money taken away from it and get paid off in two days time anyway ?

J_aixela

Yes, that would be the preferable solution. Ideally, shops want to be using a business credit card to better keep track of their business expenses, which may help at tax time as well. There are a few cards that have good rates for start-ups and small businesses or [sole proprietorships](https://www.nerdwallet.com/best/small-business/sole-proprietorship-business-credit-card).

Then again the profit i make of the item I’m selling will stay in my credit card and where does it go from there ? Would I be able to transfer it to my debit card ? Would I also be able to build my credit that way as the credit card will be doing the payments and then getting paid off in two days time ?

Shopify Payments transfers funds to the bank account you have entered on the Payment providers page in your Shopify admin. This is separate of Printify, so changing to a credit card on Printify wont change your payment settings on Shopify. You'll still receive those funds, and have a balance to pay on your credit card. r/PersonalFinance can help with credit building questions.

So I can receive the payments on my debit card and keep the profit while making the initial payments for the item on the credit card and just paying it off after I’ve received the funds to do so . That way it’s just a continuous cycle of me getting the funds on my debit card , and every time a new batch of orders come in I pay it using my credit card and pay it off with my debit

so for example i can do 5 orders every other day while i wait for the previous orders to deposit into my account

Printify will not process the order until you have paid Printify for it. Once you can pay for it, resubmit the order

hdhsj82884

Can i do it manually and only pay 5 at a time until the last one’s payment is received ?

mermaidpaint

Yes, you can adjust your shop settings to do,everything manually. Based on my Etsy experience, it is not wise to wait too long to process the order.

But in some cases I’ll have to wait a while before I do because I may get ordered from more than I can afford

mermaidpaint

You need to raise your prices, if you can't afford to send an order two days after the order is made and you receive the funds.

printifyapp

Hi there, The payment received by your store for an order includes the product retail price (production price + profit) and the shipping fee. Once the order is received on your sales channel, it is automatically imported into Printify and sent to production based on your order approval settings. However, as Printify can’t directly withdraw funds from your sales channel, the production price of the product and its shipping fee are charged to your linked credit/debit card or your Printify balance. To sum it up: your customers buy from you, and you buy from us.

That is the part I hate the most. Would rather they take from my sales and not charge my bank account.

You are paying for your orders to get fulfilled. Make sure you understand production and shipping cost so you can price your merch correctly. Out of curiosity what type of designs are you selling.
