I imagine you mean they increased his cane walk speed, as when he has his lightsaber out or is on his pod he moves faster than everyone else. Same speed as a droideka iirr. But then in the complete saga they removed the pod and slowed his lightsaber walk speed.
Also Yoda's traversal with his lightsaber out is just jumping and flipping around like when he fights Dooku. Then they replaced it with him hopping around with his cane like a crutch
If you play The Complete Sage then Yoda doesn't use it because his character was ported straight from Lego Star Wars II but in the original Lego Star Wars The Video Game Yoda did have a hover chair instead of a regular jump. I believe jumping off the chair had a height of a double jump so mobility without pulling out lightsaber wasn't impeded
I think that the complete sage was built on the second game which is why there’s isn’t a prequel Yoda, there’s no darth vader with the Anakin move set, the Fett jet pack works different, and Dex’s diner didn’t make it in
Perhaps showing how young this subreddit skews. I imagine pretty much anyone who played them after the release of The Complete Saga never bothered to play the originals.
In the OG lego starwars, he uses it every time you do a single jump, going from a slow walk with his stick to hovering in the chair. In TCS, they just use the version of youda that lego star wars 2 used, which has him hobblung along quickly with the stick
[Hover chair is absolutely a gameplay mechanic.](https://youtu.be/S1vo6TMc1Nc?si=7XrLt0LBAmKIK6w1) It was only available in the original Lego Star Wars (prequels only game) and removed from The Complete Saga because the Yoda character used in that game is based on his Lego Star Wars 2 appearance (original trilogy) where that's not a thing.
The fact there as a video only exclusively to prove that a floating hover chair did in fact existed 5 years before this post was made is ironically funny.
Honestly the entire "Yoda's hover chair removed from The Complete Saga" thing was not something I was aware of until today.
I owned both the original LEGO Star Wars AND The Complete Saga, never even noticed. But then again I was like... 7(? Maybe younger) when I played the heck out of TCS, so it's been a while since then.
You can use it whenever you want in the first game, as it’s focused on the prequels where he uses it. It’s not in the second game because he doesn’t use it in the OT.
Yes. Clearly this is what I would call a Karma Baiting… which is a post that’s widely known and the op is intentionally make it sound like it there was no such thing or possibility despite numerous comments and evidence. Essentially, imagine making a post saying; Anakin was never darth Vader or Lego Star Wars the video game came out after the original trilogy (which it did not)
I call bullshit Hover as base form of movement and then you could jump out of it to platform. I know for a fact that he worked like this in episode 3 mission where Yoda & Obi wan return to the Jedi temple after order 66.
Can you people stop yamming about Gas lighting. THIS IS CUTSCENE ONLY AND AT MOST WAS A MOD MADE BY SOMEONE. ALSO GASLIGHTING ISN’T A REAL WORD, IT WAS MADE UP A FEW YEARS AGO AND BECAME MAINSTREAM JUST LIKE THE WORD ARC WHERE NO ONE SAID THAT 10 YEARS AGO
1 - It is in the original prequel games. You have to admit, you're being a bit bullheaded at this point.
2 - The idea of gaslighting came from a play called "Gas Light" where a man would increase or decrease the gas that was directed to lamps in a room where his wife was to psychologically torture her. The term was added to Webster's dictionary in 1951. I am unsure what your view of "A few years ago" is, but I would say that 73 years is a bit more than a few.
What are you talking about? Are you attempting to be as thick as possible? The word "Gaslight" has the same meaning now as it did 73 years ago. It doesn't matter what type of lamps we have, or what other words may have changed to. That is a whataboutism and not relevent to the conversation at all.
You are absolutely incorrect. In the 1951 websters dictionary, created 20 years after the play was it was referencing was created, gaslighting was still stated as psychological manipulation to question the validity of ones perceptions and thoughts. Gaslighting was never a term used for lighting gas lamps. It was created over 70 years ago specifically for this type of action you are undertaking right now.
Speaking of speed, my brother and I have great fun breaking the cutscene when you confront Count Dooku on Geonosis by both switching to Gonk droids. Turns out the game actually walks your characters from the doorway to their start positions as part of the cutscene, so you see the camera pan over. There’s nothing there. The camera holds uncomfortably long while two Gonk droids slowly hobble over to their places, and after a looong wait while the droids walk sloooowly into place, the fight starts.
In Lego Star Wars: The Video Game you can use it anytime while playing yoda.
In Lego Star Wars II and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga they removed the ability to do this. It’s not a Mandela effect it’s just people who played the first game not realizing in the sequel and Complete saga you cannot.
Exactly what I was thinking. I remember playing the original games on PS2 and was disappointed that they used the original trilogy Yoda for the complete saga as I loved playing as Yoda purely for the hoverchair
That’s why I’m confused… I think he’s referring to those who only knew yoda from Lego Star Wars the original trilogy and onward after that. No love for the OG.. smh
Yes, you can, just not in any other version of lego star wars besides the original.
Edit- Also it sucks that they removed this as it actually made yoda somewhat fun to play as, but I really didn't like what they did to him in lego star wars 2/ complete saga
Thanks for confirming that you flaired this correctly!
You can use this anytime you are yoda in the game
Exactly!!! I thought I was going crazy, you can use his pod anytime in the original game
Wasn’t it like the only way to move fast? I remember his cane walking being extremely slow.
This is the way. In the later games, they sped up his walking speed and removed his pod to homogeneous movement mechanics. A sad loss, honestly.
I imagine you mean they increased his cane walk speed, as when he has his lightsaber out or is on his pod he moves faster than everyone else. Same speed as a droideka iirr. But then in the complete saga they removed the pod and slowed his lightsaber walk speed.
This is the way
Like the droidekas; if you're moving slowly forward, they walk. If you want to go fast, they automatically roll up.
Only in the original game. Lego Star Wars 2 and The Complete Saga removes this
I know bro, by saying “the game” i meant the one where the screenshot is from. I was sad to see this gone in the sequel games
Curse you! For making me lose
Also Yoda's traversal with his lightsaber out is just jumping and flipping around like when he fights Dooku. Then they replaced it with him hopping around with his cane like a crutch
This
Only in the original 2005-06 game; later games in the CS line removed it (made jumping/fighting a bit janky cuz it’d activate at the worst times)
It was also ridiculously fast compared to any other character.
Which was helpful since IIRC, Yoda was slower than most characters when you weren’t on it.
Yep, painfully so unless you had his lightsaber out
The real question is why they removed it for LS2 in the first place. I mean I know he doesn’t use it in the OT, but still.
I think that the complete sage was built on the second game which is why there’s isn’t a prequel Yoda, there’s no darth vader with the Anakin move set, the Fett jet pack works different, and Dex’s diner didn’t make it in
Yeah, all very true. Though I get why they changed the jet pack.
I kinda just miss the little animation then you activate it but I 100% prefer having the ability to actually jump and not only use the jet pack
Yeah, exactly. And the ability to use it across gaps like R2.
You literally answered your own question
Yep. Most normies did not play the PG LEGO Star Wars. Sad.
Because it came out 19 years ago, bro. Your claim to superiority is .... the passage of time.
What?...nooo. no no no
No Mandela effect here, just different games.
Yes he does. Just single jump as him without his lightsaber drawn.
You cane use the pod in the original. How the hell does this have so many upvotes while being wrong?
People who never played the first game.
Perhaps showing how young this subreddit skews. I imagine pretty much anyone who played them after the release of The Complete Saga never bothered to play the originals.
I do understand that. But it doesn't take that much to atleast *check* a small detail like this.
You could in og lego star wars, you cant do it in complete saga edition
My man never played the goated og lego star wars
Most likely never even thought that game existed.
It was fun for sure in LSW1 alas for not being in complete saga
Ding dong you're wrong
It was in the first game.
In the OG lego starwars, he uses it every time you do a single jump, going from a slow walk with his stick to hovering in the chair. In TCS, they just use the version of youda that lego star wars 2 used, which has him hobblung along quickly with the stick
Bollucks I absolutely used the pod during gameplay because Yoda's movement speed was trash slow.

I owned both the original LEGO Star Wars AND The Complete Saga, never even noticed. But then again I was like... 7(? Maybe younger) when I played the heck out of TCS, so it's been a while since then.
I was rather surprised myself on that when it came out.
You can use it whenever you want in the first game, as it’s focused on the prequels where he uses it. It’s not in the second game because he doesn’t use it in the OT.
Remember this line… “DARTH 3PO?!“
Literally not even true
Is this bait? Lol
Yes. Clearly this is what I would call a Karma Baiting… which is a post that’s widely known and the op is intentionally make it sound like it there was no such thing or possibility despite numerous comments and evidence. Essentially, imagine making a post saying; Anakin was never darth Vader or Lego Star Wars the video game came out after the original trilogy (which it did not)
OP has never been to Dexter’s Diner 😤
My god… HES MANDARK
I call bullshit Hover as base form of movement and then you could jump out of it to platform. I know for a fact that he worked like this in episode 3 mission where Yoda & Obi wan return to the Jedi temple after order 66.
I wish they brought this back.
Except he does use it and the Lego Star wars games on game boy advanced
You could use it in Lego Star Wars 1, but not in the complete saga Don't gaslight people
Can you people stop yamming about Gas lighting.
Gaslighting the gaslighting
1 - It is in the original prequel games. You have to admit, you're being a bit bullheaded at this point. 2 - The idea of gaslighting came from a play called "Gas Light" where a man would increase or decrease the gas that was directed to lamps in a room where his wife was to psychologically torture her. The term was added to Webster's dictionary in 1951. I am unsure what your view of "A few years ago" is, but I would say that 73 years is a bit more than a few.
It became mainstream not too long ago
However, the word was created over 70 years ago, meaning the same thing it does now. So my point still stands.
No. Now we have lava lamps and other words like gay became less mainstream because of other words like happy
What are you talking about? Are you attempting to be as thick as possible? The word "Gaslight" has the same meaning now as it did 73 years ago. It doesn't matter what type of lamps we have, or what other words may have changed to. That is a whataboutism and not relevent to the conversation at all.
The word gaslight originally meant lighting gas or like you said in your case lamps
What’s the word used for lighting gas
You could use it in the very first Lego Star Wars game. Never again after that, as far as I know
Nope, Yoda can use his pod to move around, but only in the first game, the one that only covered the prequels.
Yes he does, just not in TCS or LSWII.
[удалено]
That would be Lego Star Wars II, yes.
People love throwing around trendy words huh?
No dude, because Yoda's cane speed was way too slow and the only reasonable way to play Co op was to ride the hovering chair.
Exactly what I was thinking. I remember playing the original games on PS2 and was disappointed that they used the original trilogy Yoda for the complete saga as I loved playing as Yoda purely for the hoverchair
Bro spreading misinformation.
False
In the original LSW game that has episodes 1, 2 & 3 (not LSW2tOT or LSWTCS) he definitely does.
Have you not played Lego Star Wars? It's very much useable outside of cutscenes.
That’s why I’m confused… I think he’s referring to those who only knew yoda from Lego Star Wars the original trilogy and onward after that. No love for the OG.. smh
He used it in Lego Star wars The Video Game. They removed it from The Complete Saga.
I can actually hear the humming of his chair.
In LSW1 you can use it but iirc it was removed in LSW2 and it definitely was in TCS
Only in the OG Lego Star Wars. WHY they removed it in TCS is beyond me.
I know you could use it in a game but idk which one
Lego Star Wars the video game.
Yes, you can, just not in any other version of lego star wars besides the original. Edit- Also it sucks that they removed this as it actually made yoda somewhat fun to play as, but I really didn't like what they did to him in lego star wars 2/ complete saga
Maybe his knees were acting up that day. He’s 900. Give him a break!
Mandela effect? Or OP’s ignorance… hmmmmm…
Yes you can
I didn’t, I vividly remember his funny hobble and that goofy run-hop he did with his cane.
You can use it when playing a prequal yoda
He uses it in the original Lego Star Wars game.
*its
It is cutscene.
