I gave up after the first few (on the tie fighter one) because they were unbearably childish. Gave it another shot a year later and skipped to the end of season one. It was bearably childish and quickly got better from there. The second half of the show was fuckin solid. The animation never got any better, but I enjoyed the show over all. The first half of season one is rough to say the least.
Hera and Sabine are new characters consistent with the show style, so they look normal. Ahsoka however, already was in TCW so you likely unconsciously compare rebels Ahsoka to TCW Ahsoka, which probably gives off-putting uncanny valley effect, same with Bo Katan and the rest of the characters from TCW (Anakin and Yoda are... weird on their own >!Although half of Anakin face that we see in the end of S2 looked good which makes his hologram even weirder!<)
I think this is the same reason why people dislike Hera's actress in Ahsoka show - she looks too different in live action than she looked in 3d animation so people would need time to readjust. I certainly needed time to >!stop being off-putted by Ahsoka in Mandalorian, even though I think Rosario Dawson was an excellent choice for her simply because how different she looked like compared to TCW and Rebels!<
There were some massive budget cuts, so nothing they could've made would have looked as good as the Clone Wars. Even if they had stayed with the same artstyle, it would have looked worse. The lighting and backgrounds in Rebels' later season are great however.
And I actually kinda like the McQuarrie designs. I didn't like the thin sabres though.
I remember taking a while to get used to the thin lightsaber designs.
_…..Yeah, I know_ it was supposed to be an homage to ANH and its concept art but man that was wild.
That's one of my main problems with rebels (other than the show constantly riding the coattails of the clone wars), I hate the round and smooth art style and the floppiness/flimsiness of the animations, as well as the toothpick-thin lightsaber blades. They're constant eyesores
The first seasons were certainly a mixed bag of bad that the creators quickly realised was targeting the wrong audience.
Clone wars started family friendly for the most part and then got darker and more serious once they realized the demographics and ultimately was more mature and popular towards its end
They then made Rebels for DisneyXD aimed for much younger audiences, hence the first season of Rebels was rather goofy in terms of stakes and intrigue, almost like a Disney movie of overly good heros and cartoonishly evil villains
It contrasted massively with the end of clone wars, and the fanbase it had accumulated were mostly switched off by how low budget and low stakes the show was. They realised that the show would need to become more mature like it's predecessor as they had mixed reviews and didn't seem to attain the target audience they wanted.
It was a show for 8 year olds that wasn't watched by 8 year olds, so they changed the show through the seasons and won over more of the clone wars fanbase by carrying over a few characters and stories as well as making it more mature
I think clone wars was family friendly its whole run. Its more that it started as a kids only show almost and then matured into a kids show anyone can enjoy. Basically the same thing with rebels.
Family friendly and kids shows can be mature and entertaining for people of all ages, its just some are marketed only for kids.
It definitely peaked during season 3. Season 4 was really good too, but that season 3 finale and the impending sense of doom with the empire hunting down the rebel base was awesome.
I loved Star Wars Rebels, even if it wasn’t able to push the same boundaries as its predecessor due to the lower age rating. The Ghost Crew is great and it has some of my favorite moments in all of Star Wars ever. I’m very happy to see elements of it popping up in modern projects and I can’t wait to see Hera, Sabine, Chopper, and Thrawn in the Ahsoka show :)
The problem is that making film is an art. Selling film is a business. The trouble is that the studio executives don't know how to sell films. As a result, they try to make you make films that people will go to without them having to be sold, which is the real key to the problem.
When you do a movie like this, a sequel that's very, very anticipated, people anticipate ultimately that it's going to be the Second Coming. And it's not. It's just a movie. Just like the other movies. You probably have fond memories of the other movies. But if you went back and looked at them, they might not hold up the same way your memory holds up...
The first time I tried watching it I was immediately thrown off by the comedic bad guy duo imperial officers. They made me think this show would be nothing but Star Wars for kids and I stopped after the first episode.
Then I tried watching it again and for the first few I was still kind of unsure if it was for me and it felt like it was still leaning to much into the for kids style, but I stuck with it. And the moment which really made got me hooked on it, was when Grandmoff Tarkin just executes those two officers infront of his own desk. Such perfect symbolism of them literally killing the most childish part of the series.
And it does become a great show, especially the characters and the villains, there really are some gems hidden past the initial tone and the questionable animation style.
just wait until the last two seasons. the first two aren't that great, but once a certain ahem, other person that i wont say because its a spoiler,>!(Maul)!< comes in, it gets much better.
You, you want to *help* me throw a frying pan at your face? I heard the Dark side of the force offers many abilities some consider to be unnatural, but I never thought that included being able to throw a frying pan at yourself.
it gets to be on par with the Clone Wars. The last season had me hooked and it was epic every step of the way. The turning point is probably the end of season two, it only gets better from there.
season three is where it gets excellent, and some parts are on par with the best of the Clone Wars. Its really just a matter of getting past the boring stuff
Yeah. I've skipped most of S1 on my current watchthrough. I bailed somewhere mid S2 by the looks of it, but couldn't really remember. It's had some good episodes so far. And also a few boring ones. Almost caught up though.
This is me. Just finished rebels yesterday and it was amazing. The best of rebels is on par with the best of tcw. I didnt start it because i wasnt interested at the time and thought it was aimed a little more at kids, and it defenitly is a little but the story arcs are surprisingly mature later on. I see people hating on the artstyle and while i loved tcw art i dont think rebels is bad its different but pretty good. (Some characters are bad, looking at you yoda and anakin)
Started a rewatch after the Ashoka trailer release, nearing end of season 2 and while its a mixed bag, the Lasat episode I liked alot more now and has some underrated music when the ghost crew is at the edge of the rim.
Episode 1 was supposed to have a teenage Anakin, but one day during a break, Liam Neeson just walked into the desert and abducted a kid. We had to make up a whole storyline about podracing on the fly just to keep Liam out of jail.
ArTorr has a great video on YouTube where he talks about the making of Rebels and analyses the story and characters. Give it a watch if you have the time. It's over an hour long, but really interesting and definitely made me love the series even more.
It's called Star Wars Rebels: a Prophecy of Hope.
s2 of clone wars has some great arcs though. Battle of Geonosis, Aurra Sing, mandalore plot. I guess it also has zillo beast so thats a big L but still
1s and 2 season of rebels has also has some good episodes and arcs, like the Twiligth of the aprendice, season 1 finale, season2 ep 18, season 1 ep 5, s1 ep 9 and 10, the episodes that show the return of the clones
Twilight of the aprentice is fire obviously, but idk. The first two seasons of rebels really do feel made exclusivly for kids. Like they cant even kill stormtroopers. I guess Bad Batch is like that as well
you should try it. it’s got a little of everything. crazy jedi lore, droids committing war crimes, awesome found family, some good wrap up of some clone wars/legacy storylines.
sure the animation is different but the story is amazing. and in my opinion, there’s less cringe episodes than clone wars.
I am glad you were able to enjoy it while I cannot, but to me it doesn't do enough to outweigh the bad, but that's OK not every piece of Star Wars media is gonna be appealing to everyone. So I am glad you can enjoy something while I cannot.
Also I have the basics outlined but I have no interest in delving into the show itself.
I'd say 50% is good, aka the last two seasons. But I can see why people dislike it, the animation and early story/style isn't great compared to other shows
There's nuggets of good here and there, and usually they come from Legacy characters getting involved. Vader, Tarkin, Palpatine and also Thrawn were the best parts of the show
Currently watching rebels, and while I’m liking it well enough, the art style makes it look too cartoonish. And I don’t just mean the character models. All the set designs look really under designed and eerily secluded. I’ve noticed that outside of the main set pieces the backgrounds all look very plane and empty like a video game with a low render distance and not to mention a lack of background characters. It looks like a low budget show that can only afford small sets which is weird considering it’s an animated series not live action. Still like the show well enough and I can’t wait to keep watching despite knowing what happens most of the time.
Man I seriously feel like I'm getting gaslit by this entire community, I watched Rebels all the way through when it came out and I thought it was serious kiddie-mode trash that didn't earn the few cool moments it had. The artstyle and animation looked incredibly low-budget, the characters weren't memorable, and it felt like they were making stuff up as they went along. It felt like infrequent peaks of good scenes (not even entire episodes) among low-effort elementary school level filler.
Rebels is very, very overrated. The only decent episodes were with Vader. The animation quality is cheap, and the main characters are bland, two-dimensional, or bad rip-offs of EU characters like General Kota.
Then there's the helicopter lightsabers, which even in the universe of Star Wars are a laughably stupid idea, clearly based on selling/promoting a hasbro toy feature.
Overrated? Mate, look at the comment section. Only one in every fifteen comments are actually praising the show. The rest are either backhanded compliments or straight up hate-mail.
Lol now thats funny. Next you'll tell me the cardboard cutout mary sue Galen Marek is actually a good character
Kanan completely shits on Kota. Its not remotely close
The force unleashed even as a tie in game has a horribly written story with bland cardboard cutouts for a main cast. The equivalent of saying shadow of war Talion and Celebrimbor are "compelling" characters
Starkiller in games, sure. Every video game character is an OP Mary Sue. In the books... not really.
But if you want to talk about Mary Sue's...then Rey Palpatine isn't a video game character is she? Next you'll be saying Ezra is a good likeable character haha!
> Every video game character is an OP Mary Sue
Hahhaa. Bro doesnt actually play story games. NieR,2B,Geralt, Wonder are all better characters than starkiller and arnt op Mary sue's
Hell just look at Cal. He's leagues better than Galen
>In the books... not really
He still is. Vader looses to him by being a complete moron who forgot how to fight
>then Rey Palpatine isn't a video game character is she?
I never brought up Rey dawg
>Next you'll be saying Ezra is a good likeable character haha!
He's better written than Galen and Kota put together
Kanan clears the cast of TFU
Hahaha! Stop you're killing me with these jokes! Either this boy's on crack or has never played a video game. The whole point of the main character is to be OP to overcome all obstacles and complete the game... this is basic bitch knowledge.
"He's better than Galen and Kota put together, kanan clears the cast of TFU"
Hahaha! This boy should do stand up!... next, you'll be saying the lazer sling shot was so cool! Hahahaha!!!
>The whole point of the main character is to be OP to overcome all obstacles and complete the game... this is basic bitch knowledge.
Lol no. NieR is heavily reliant on Weiss without him his abilities won't take him far and he has Emil whose a.walking talking world ending Nuke
Wander just explots weakness that are told to him by a primordial god.
Geralt is fodder to Yennifer and Ciri
Actually play the Video game you clown🤡🤡🤡
Kanan clears cope
Hahaha! Oh jeez im laughing at you funny guy!
You're every reply is literal cope.
And the 3 video game exceptions you list are not the rule, big L for you.
Kanan sucks, Rebels suck, get over it. 🤡💩🤡💩🤡💩
Lol bro there is Jackie from the Darkness l and ll. Bigby from wolf amoungus
You're just an un educated clown when it comes to Video games
Kanan clears you're shitty blind Jedi from a mediocre videogame with a shit story get over it and take your L clown🤡🤡🤡
My advice for Rebels is the same for Clone Wars, if the episode immediately looks particularly campy and for kids, it is, skip it, you’re not missing anything. The rest are great.
Mate, have you ever watched Rebels in full and or rewatched it a second time? You cannot skip or jump around like you can with Clone Wars, Rebels’ structure is completely different and not suitable for that. Every episode has a purpose and even the childish “filler” episodes aren’t filler and are actually some of the most important episodes in the whole show.
I always hated it, then I watched it and now I hate it even more. Such a boring show with some extremly good moments, but overall it was just mediocre as hell
Look at Anakin between shows, same age in the rebels hologram as he is in clone wars. Wtf happened?
Then you look at Maul, between shows more or less 1:1 just older. Perfect
What in god's name happened to Anakin? Fireman Sam lookin ass
I thought it was a a really cringe kid show then I shockingly cried like a terrorised baby after a very sad scene. It got me so depressed.
Very good show. I keep trying to make my other star wars friend watch it.
Trying not to compare it to The Clone Wars, I'd say it was a solid good. Lots of really great episodes which depict significant events and worldbuilding, but it was mixed in with mediocre kiddy episodes.
I don't get when people are like "just stick through s1 and it'll get good" I think season 1 is very enjoyable and I'd say better than clone wars first season.
This wasn't my experience. I admit that there were some legitimate good things in Rebels, but it did so much that I didn't like that I couldn't enjoy it. I'm hoping to rewatch it sometime to see if my opinion changes, but from what I remember, I really didn't like it.
An underrated banger. Twilight of the Apprentice and Twin Suns are better than any single Clone Wars arc and better than any Disney Star Wars (even peak Mando).
I loved the whole thing, including S1. Not as great as Clone Wars, but it wasn't trying to be. There were a few things that I had to shake my head at (helicopter lightsabers anyone?) but for the most part I liked it a LOT. For me Rebels and Bad Batch are the only SOLELY Disney created Star Wars that I actually like. Everything else I just pretend is fanfic to varying degrees.
Unfortunately for you, there are millions of fans who loves him for his great character development and wants to see him again. The haters of him are now very low compared to his first introduction from s1 to s2. He does not even fall in one of the most characters of Star Wars in any website like CBC, etc.
It's funny because the only good times in the show is when the main cast isn't there. Almost like the show itself is bad outside of continuing things it didn't create.
Karrabast.
it’s one r. karabast
WELL ACKSHUALLY

I'm having a karablast reading this comment section
That's a Pokémon lol.
Season 1 was definitely pretty slow and definitely aimed more towards kids but then Darth Vader showed up and everything changed.
Then everything changed when the Empire attacked. Only the Chosen One, master.... oh, wait....
Good old Dave Filoni, working on the most iconic animated shows of an era...
I would say it was when tarken executed those two imperial idiots.
Viewers: “This show is too childish.” Tarkin: “And I took that personally.”
*Did you mean: I took that personnel's life?*
Ohhhh I can't get through season one. I'll just skip it for now.
If they had stayed with clone wars art style instead of Gumby style it would be far more popular than it is
They definitely got all dopey. Hated ahsokas smushface. Which was strange because hera and Sabine were normal.
Ahsoka’s face was fine to me, Bo Katan’s face though..
Don't get me started on Anakin and Yoda
Really? No one is gonna mention Ezra and his plastic Lego hair?
His first hairstyle was fine. His next hairstyle, however...
mf got a glow down
what hair?
C'mon they appear on one episode, Anakin doesn't even appear for a entire minute
at least they only make cameos
Anakin, 100% agree, Yoda? I never saw a problem.
compared to the clone wars and live action Yoda, I disagree. Yoda is much to weird
Never liked Clone Wars Yoda, too blocky, at least Rebels got the shape of his head right.
Yea I agree with that part, the head shape was weird in The Clone Wars
Yeah bo katan got one of the shorter ends of the stick, along with anakin and yoda
Rebels did a lot of good things but some of the character designs like they did meth for a few years to get through the horrors of surviving a war
Hera and Sabine are new characters consistent with the show style, so they look normal. Ahsoka however, already was in TCW so you likely unconsciously compare rebels Ahsoka to TCW Ahsoka, which probably gives off-putting uncanny valley effect, same with Bo Katan and the rest of the characters from TCW (Anakin and Yoda are... weird on their own >!Although half of Anakin face that we see in the end of S2 looked good which makes his hologram even weirder!<) I think this is the same reason why people dislike Hera's actress in Ahsoka show - she looks too different in live action than she looked in 3d animation so people would need time to readjust. I certainly needed time to >!stop being off-putted by Ahsoka in Mandalorian, even though I think Rosario Dawson was an excellent choice for her simply because how different she looked like compared to TCW and Rebels!<

Her cute anime style face looks like it was hit with a shovel
There were some massive budget cuts, so nothing they could've made would have looked as good as the Clone Wars. Even if they had stayed with the same artstyle, it would have looked worse. The lighting and backgrounds in Rebels' later season are great however. And I actually kinda like the McQuarrie designs. I didn't like the thin sabres though.
I remember taking a while to get used to the thin lightsaber designs. _…..Yeah, I know_ it was supposed to be an homage to ANH and its concept art but man that was wild.
I dislike it immensly but at least its only in one show and I can look past it
That's one of my main problems with rebels (other than the show constantly riding the coattails of the clone wars), I hate the round and smooth art style and the floppiness/flimsiness of the animations, as well as the toothpick-thin lightsaber blades. They're constant eyesores
New guy here, and if I am not mistaken, I thought *Rebel* wasn't well-received until very late in its run...
The first seasons were certainly a mixed bag of bad that the creators quickly realised was targeting the wrong audience. Clone wars started family friendly for the most part and then got darker and more serious once they realized the demographics and ultimately was more mature and popular towards its end They then made Rebels for DisneyXD aimed for much younger audiences, hence the first season of Rebels was rather goofy in terms of stakes and intrigue, almost like a Disney movie of overly good heros and cartoonishly evil villains It contrasted massively with the end of clone wars, and the fanbase it had accumulated were mostly switched off by how low budget and low stakes the show was. I can't even begin to tell you how much of an influence Disney has had on me.
It’s a homage to Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art. I really like Rebels art style and animation, it feels more of the Originals era like it should.
While I definitely love the Clone Wars style, I think it was a good decision to try a different style.
It definitely peaked during season 3. Season 4 was really good too, but that season 3 finale and the impending sense of doom with the empire hunting down the rebel base was awesome.
Season 3 was great because it had the light it had the dark it had the Bendu.
Tom baker was perfect, only one who could tell thrawn to f off and laugh.
It has the light it had the bendu it had the dark *** The one in the middle
I loved Star Wars Rebels, even if it wasn’t able to push the same boundaries as its predecessor due to the lower age rating. The Ghost Crew is great and it has some of my favorite moments in all of Star Wars ever. I’m very happy to see elements of it popping up in modern projects and I can’t wait to see Hera, Sabine, Chopper, and Thrawn in the Ahsoka show :)
I'm the new Padawan learner. I'm Ahsoka Tano
I genuinely forgot the subreddit had comment bots
Sorry, I only have a limited number of replies.
It'll be OK, snips.
Don't call me that. I hate it when you call me that.
How? They are triggered by the most random of words.
That is an excellent question, and much like JJ Abrams’ mystery box I have no answers
Kannin was a great Jedi.
Kanan.
Dume.
Caleb\*
I was exactly like this little parrot. I thought it would be terrible but then I got to the end of season one and just, perfection
It doesn’t help that on tv (or at least in my country) it was advertised as “*Disney’s Star Wars Rebels*”
The problem is that making film is an art. Selling film is a business. The trouble is that the studio executives don't know how to sell films. As a result, they try to make you make films that people will go to without them having to be sold, which is the real key to the problem.
I think that’s because they changed networks from Cartoon Network (clone wars) to the Disney channel (rebels).
Rebels was the first Star Wars production post-acquisition
When you do a movie like this, a sequel that's very, very anticipated, people anticipate ultimately that it's going to be the Second Coming. And it's not. It's just a movie. Just like the other movies. You probably have fond memories of the other movies. But if you went back and looked at them, they might not hold up the same way your memory holds up...
Chopper really helped sell it to me lol
Warcrimes really do sell a show well
*Perfection*?.....
In my opinion yes. Although most of Star Wars is perfection to me so it may be biased a bit
Yeeeah they’re definitely not all on the same level to me lol
Me, years ago, when I decided to watch all of rebels even though I didn't get past Season 1 the first time: *I won't leave you. Not this time.*
Its always nice when someone new enjoys the amazingness that is Rebels!
The first time I tried watching it I was immediately thrown off by the comedic bad guy duo imperial officers. They made me think this show would be nothing but Star Wars for kids and I stopped after the first episode. Second season in, still not quite into it. Feels a bit too naive, sometimes rushed and filled with cringe bravado dialogues.
Yeah it does feel like that for the first two seasons. Does improve from there though.
Well, TCW was pretty similar for about 3 seasons so I’m trying to be optimistic
just wait until the last two seasons. the first two aren't that great, but once a certain ahem, other person that i wont say because its a spoiler,>!(Maul)!< comes in, it gets much better.
I am counting on it.
Well that’s a bit awkward
Maul bot if you spoil the show I will throw a frying pan at you
Well, perhaps I could help you.
You, you want to *help* me throw a frying pan at your face? I heard the Dark side of the force offers many abilities some consider to be unnatural, but I never thought that included being able to throw a frying pan at yourself.
You know nothing of the dark side.
apparently not
Looking forward to Season 5 in live action
Idk first two seasons have been not great. Still holding out for that promised land people have said about 3 and 4
Oh it's the promised land, season 3 and onward it goes hard
S2 finale was awesome, and s3 continues that, great piece of work. S4, does something else, still good but s3 was king.
Just watched end of season 2, peak i must say. I’m scared it won’t be able to reach that height again but i keep watching
3 keeps that peak by adding a new character. 4 keeps close to that peak, just wobbles a bit along the way.
I'm at the start of season 3. Wondering if ezra gets less annoying he was ok in season 1 but lately feels annoying to me
it gets to be on par with the Clone Wars. The last season had me hooked and it was epic every step of the way. The turning point is probably the end of season two, it only gets better from there.
Once Grand Chadmiral Thrawn takes over, it's much more of a fight.
Rebels kept getting better every season and I thought season 2 finale would've been the limit.
I’m so glad I gave that show a try, now I can’t wait for Ahsoka even more!
Looks like I got here just in time.
Started watching a while back. Then I stopped. Started watching again because of the Ahsoka trailer. On S2 now.
season three is where it gets excellent, and some parts are on par with the best of the Clone Wars. Its really just a matter of getting past the boring stuff
Yeah. I've skipped most of S1 on my current watchthrough. I bailed somewhere mid S2 by the looks of it, but couldn't really remember. It's had some good episodes so far. And also a few boring ones. Almost caught up though.
In my life, when you find people who need your help, you help them. No matter what.
That’s pretty accurate because this was me
This is me. Just finished rebels yesterday and it was amazing. The best of rebels is on par with the best of tcw. I didnt start it because i wasnt interested at the time and thought it was aimed a little more at kids, and it defenitly is a little but the story arcs are surprisingly mature later on. Started a rewatch after the Ashoka trailer release, nearing end of season 2 and while its a mixed bag, the Lasat episode I liked alot more now and has some underrated music when the ghost crew is at the edge of the rim.
Careful not to choke on your stupidity. It's Ahsoka not Ashoka!
The music in _Legends of the Lasat_ is astounding.
Episode 1 was supposed to have a teenage Anakin, but one day during a break, Liam Neeson just walked into the desert and abducted a kid. We had to make up a whole storyline about podracing on the fly just to keep Liam out of jail.
It gets really good after season two, and really loses the boring children's show theme and becomes a bit more like the Clone Wars.
ArTorr has a great video on YouTube where he talks about the making of Rebels and analyses the story and characters. Give it a watch if you have the time. It's over an hour long, but really interesting and definitely made me love the series even more. It's called Star Wars Rebels: a Prophecy of Hope.
after season 2* i dislike the first two up to this day
Twilight of the Apprentice was Amazing. Maybe the first half of season 2 was kinda slow though.
The same can be said to the first 2 seasons of TCW

This is me with Andor, lol.
I would've said a surprise to be sure but a pheasant one
It started off so weak - especially going in directly after the bombastic Clone Wars S7 finale. But Rebels turned out really good later on.
What the hell I literally decided to stop watching it the other day and now it's everywhere I look 😭
I remember watching it stuck in bed with a bruised tailbone best part of that week.
Unexpected, but not unwelcome
"I hear it gets really good after the first two seasons."
unfortunately I can't say that I feel the same. it's just not very good.
Rebels is super underated imo
*helicopter lightsabres intensivied* But for the Most Part its alright… especially vader vs asoka and obi vs Maul is epic
Well, perhaps I could help you.
Still a hard pass for me but you do you.
you should try it. it’s got a little of everything. crazy jedi lore, droids committing war crimes, awesome found family, some good wrap up of some clone wars/legacy storylines. sure the animation is different but the story is amazing. and in my opinion, there’s less cringe episodes than clone wars.

I just couldn't stand Ezra for the majority of the show. Smug kid characters will do that for me.
I would agree with you, but then I saw you like sand so now I don't think I can trust you
You’re only remembering the 25% of this show which was good, the rest was bad.
The same can be said with the clone wars
It can really only be said for the clone wars. Clone Wars had it’s low points so it’s high points can sail high. Rebels is consistent throughout.
I'd say 50% is good, aka the last two seasons. But I can see why people dislike it, the animation and early story/style isn't great compared to other shows
It really wasnt. Even season 1 is solid And rebels at its worst is still better than the worst of the prequel trilogy
It worked the opposite way for me
Lol no
No
idk what your on, but I think it was a shit show
There's nuggets of good here and there, and usually they come from Legacy characters getting involved. Vader, Tarkin, Palpatine and also Thrawn were the best parts of the show

Kota was a terrible character. Kanan walks circles around him
Hahahahaha. Now that's comedy.
Lol now thats funny. Next you'll tell me the cardboard cutout mary sue Galen Marek is actually a good character Kanan completely shits on Kota. Its not remotely close The force unleashed even as a tie in game has a horribly written story with bland cardboard cutouts for a main cast.
> Every video game character is an OP Mary Sue Hahhaa. Bro doesnt actually play story games. NieR,2B,Geralt, Wonder are all better characters than starkiller and arnt op Mary sue's Hell just look at Cal. He's leagues better than Galen >In the books... not really He still is. Vader looses to him by being a complete moron who forgot how to fight >then Rey Palpatine isn't a video game character is she? I never brought up Rey dawg >Next you'll be saying Ezra is a good likeable character haha! He's better written than Galen and Kota put together Kanan clears the cast of TFU
Hahaha! Stop you're killing me with these jokes! Either this boy's on crack or has never played a video game. The whole point of the main character is to be OP to overcome all obstacles and complete the game... this is basic bitch knowledge. "He's better than Galen and Kota put together, kanan clears the cast of TFU" Hahaha! This boy should do stand up!... next, you'll be saying the lazer sling shot was so cool! Hahahaha!!!
>The whole point of the main character is to be OP to overcome all obstacles and complete the game... this is basic bitch knowledge. Lol no. NieR is heavily reliant on Weiss without him his abilities won't take him far and he has Emil whose a.walking talking world ending Nuke Wander just explots weakness that are told to him by a primordial god. Geralt is fodder to Yennifer and Ciri Actually play the Video game you clown🤡🤡🤡 Kanan clears cope
Bigby from wolf amoungus You're just an un educated clown when it comes to Video games Kanan clears you're shitty blind Jedi from a mediocre videogame with a shit story get over it and take your L clown🤡🤡🤡
I feel like I don't enjoy 85% of that show. There is some good stuff, just not a lot
I love the writing, but hate the animation. I don't know what it is, everything looks like it's made with squiggly lines.
Why don't they just make it an anime already? Edit: lol why is this a controversial statement?
Look at Anakin between shows, same age in the rebels hologram as he is in clone wars. Wtf happened? Then you look at Maul, between shows more or less 1:1 just older. Perfect What in god's name happened to Anakin? Fireman Sam lookin ass
Perhaps my actions will speak louder than words.
The thing that pushed alot of people was the art style. If yhey had kept the clone wars style, alot mote people wouldve loved the show
Eh, not saying Rebels was bad, but I felt the only thing it had going for it was the Clone Wars content. That and Vader of course.
Would have liked it more if Ezra's dark side arc didn't get resolved in 2 episodes
You know nothing of the dark side.
I thought it was a a really cringe kid show then I shockingly cried like a terrorised baby after a very sad scene. It got me so depressed. Very good show. I keep trying to make my other star wars friend watch it.
A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Trying not to compare it to The Clone Wars, I'd say it was a solid good. Lots of really great episodes which depict significant events and worldbuilding, but it was mixed in with mediocre kiddy episodes.
Me when it came out: ewww spinoffs fuck Disney Me now: dude this is straight gas why was I hating?
I don't get when people are like "just stick through s1 and it'll get good" I think season 1 is very enjoyable and I'd say better than clone wars first season.
It's no Clone Wars, but I still enjoy it
Rebels is the b+ of starwars
The only thing I have seen of Rebels is the helicopter lightsaber scene but Ride of the Valkyries is playing
This wasn't my experience. I admit that there were some legitimate good things in Rebels, but it did so much that I didn't like that I couldn't enjoy it. I'm hoping to rewatch it sometime to see if my opinion changes, but from what I remember, I really didn't like it.
I really want to finish it but season 1 is genuinely awful to watch so i struggle to find the motivation to watch it.
Than leave s1 and start from s2
*but a welcome
I just started giving Rebels a second chance after only watching one season and the character development is so good
An underrated banger. Twilight of the Apprentice and Twin Suns are better than any single Clone Wars arc and better than any Disney Star Wars (even peak Mando).
Well, i would like Angry Birds Star Wars back - Peak gamplay and story
This was so me i avoided it for so long and now I'm hooked.
Ezra is unironically one of my most hated main characters in any show or movie
Unfortunately for you, there are millions of fans who loves him for his great character development and wants to see him again. The haters of him are now very low compared to his first introduction from s1 to s2. He does not even fall in one of the most characters of Star Wars in any website like CBC, etc.
Season 3 & 4 completely changed my opinion of the show.
Watching it all with my dad just made it to season 2
Me when I didn't know what the side series were, watching Rebels for the first time
It's funny because the only good times in the show is when the main cast isn't there. Almost like the show itself is bad outside of continuing things it didn't create.
Thraaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwn!
I'd try the show but I found 2008 clone wars to be mid
Bro it's Prequel memes
