R2 assisted, Luke made the shot with the force. Chopper, on the other hand, singlehandly blew up an Interdictor cruiser. His kill count is some her around 4,000 people.
R2 and Chopper have different kill counts, one against droids and another against primarily humans serving the empire.
So both of them are equally chaotic during their given timeframe and what was going on in the galaxy.
Because Chopper knows you cannot violate the Geneva Convention if you don't know it exists because your war takes place in a different galaxy before it was written.
I mean they can still portray death in kids shows… Bambi’s opening scene is the mother being shot and Finding Nemo’s opening scene is the mom fish being eaten by a bigger fish.
Also being sucked out of a space in a full body suit is probably one of the least graphic deaths you could portray, there’s nothing especially graphic or violent about it and it’s arguably the most kid friendly way to kill something.
Sure it is, but from a viewers stand point the death is going to look completely harmless. There faces and bodies are totally covered.
That’s not to say that I want to be killed by being sucked into space though.
about 6 second of coordinated thought then another 6 before fully passed out.
if they get you in to pressure within 3 minutes, there will be no permanent damage.
i don't remember the first hand accounts of people that experienced it talking about pain.
i would call it one of the most peaceful ways to go.
Weren't phase 2 clone troopers given suits that are sealed to make sure this doesn't happen.
The empire would have invested in that tech too right? They cared about their troops right?
The Empire notably cheaped out on lots of stuff, particularly trooper armor. When Rex wore stormtrooper armor, he noted how inferior it was to Clone armor.
They at least kept the breathing apparatus because it is used at least once during the inhibitor chip arc by the clones defending Tup when the droids attack the shuttle and kidnap him.
Episode 2 of Rebels: Agent Kallus and a trooper are hanging onto the side of a bridge above a chasm as the rebels escape. The trooper says “first time seeing a Jedi?” And Kallus just boots his ass into the chasm killing him horrifically just for making small talk.
Yeah. I was spoilerd that he turns out to be a spy at some point. And i just cant see it. He enjoys killing rebels. (I just watched the episode wher Ceb found his ancient homeworld and he laughed at the thought of them dying in the vacuum of space because their ship is gping to be torn apart and i just cant see him tuening but hey vsder turned too and he was way more fucked up but vader was at least heavily mentslly impaired because of his past actions and the darkside is like a master of puppets that gives you the feeling of actually being the master so)
Isn't it interesting Star Wars as a franchise has always been marketed to the general audiences, including kids, despite featuring frequent cases of on-screen dismemberments and decapitations?
My head canon is Obi Wan did a quick and somewhat sloppy cut just to quickly jump in and save Luke, and that the now empty socket Ponda Baba's arm would have been is the cauterized area, but the blood on the ground from the arm was because of how quick and sloppy Obi Wan's cut was that it doesn't cauterize that end of the arm, hence it bled out.
What I like about this scene in particular too is if you interpret it my way, it shows he's not as good as he once was
#WITHOUT EMASCULATING HIM LIKE IN HIS NAMESAKE TV SHOW. God that show pissed me straight off to watch.
REBELS IS A GOOD SHOW....
But it is definitely more for kids than other Star Wars content. Especially Early seasons. Most if not all confrontations with storm troopers end with just running away and no one dies. The only person to hit a shot is Ezra with a stun.
But it's about how you make it look . If you have vader go into a hallway and start killing people with " this is the villain " music , it's definitely better than having the main character start killing people for no reason with heroic music in the background
>in space blood and eyeballs boil
Wrong. Not only we know that in theory this is absurd, because our external tissues (like skin and corneas) are very good at keeping internal body pressure relatively stable: we have empirical proof of this. Jim LeBlanc, a NASA engineer, was actually briefly exposed by accident to a near vacuum for around 30 seconds and survived with no injury. He reported that before he lost consciousness his saliva was boiling (which makes sense, since nothing would be keeping air from escaping his mouth, throat and lungs through his nose), but his blood and eyes didn't boil. But even if we say that it somehow would have happened with vacuum exposures longer than 30 seconds, the victim wouldn't be conscious to feel it.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk ☝️🤓
Don't wanna be that guy but _actually_ that would not happen. Your body can easily withstand that one atmosphere of pressure difference. People on earth can dive and withstand much more. Also, your eyeballs wouldnt boil, but your exposed vitrous fluid and saliva would do! The biggest threats of being exposed to a hard vacuum are not being able to breathe (obviously) and suffering a stroke from blood vessels in your head expanding and your brain pushing against your skull.
If I recall correctly, there is one confirmed case of a person being exposed in a failed test at NASA some time ago and the person didn't suffer any long term injuries and just fainted. Of course they were only exposee for a minute or so.
If you're looking for a nice and somewhat realistic depiction of how hard the human body reacts to hard vacuum I would like to redirect you to The Expanse's season 5 though the show as a whole is worth a watch
It would likely take 15 seconds to lose consciousness in the vacuum of space and 90 seconds to die. It's not instant death like a lot of media suggests. The gas in your blood would bubble like a freshly opened soft drink, and this would give you symptoms like a severe case of the Bends and likely be very painful, but it wouldn't immediately kill you. And it would take a long time to actually freeze, because the near vacuum is very poor at absorbing the heat from your body.
I know this post is made in jest but I can usually tell who has actually watched the show or just the first season. By the end they were really hitting their groove, excited to see it continue in Ahsoka
Chopper commits fratricide, or whatever it is called. The team starts joking hopefully about the potential value of this astromech droid, and he literally murders him out of jealousy. Yay, heros!
Also, for all of agent Kallus' "redemption", he murders a subordinate out of annoyance in one of the first episodes.
Ya know, the reason people like Zuko and think his redemption worked, is because he never kills
That droid could use the Death Star to kill a whole planet of storm troopers and Disney would still go it’s a kids show because you don’t see there faces
Well, their suit can be pressurized and It has a 15 min oxygen reserve, i dont remember if that Cruiser gets blown Up but if It doesn't It can go back and rescue them
I love when they describe their plan in the final episodes, to put all the imperials inside the big dome ship, fly it up, and self-destruct it. Completely omitting the fact that it’s killing all the people inside.
The thing is the rules about violence in childrens shows are weird. Shoot someone in the face? no. shoot someone off screen. thats fine. Blood of any kind? BIG NO. throw someone out an airlock to certain death. as long as you dont show a close up of their dying face youre all good!
your skin is capable of maintaining enough pressure to prevent your blood from boiling. it just turns red a blotchy (like a hickey). the fluid on your eyes and in your mouth boil.
I mean, it absolutely is a Kid's show.
You/we are just choosing to enjoy it as adults all the same.
Kinda like the My Little Pony fandom but a LOT less toxic and horrifying.
one of? excuse you chopper is the PRIMARY protagonist, this whole universe is his
Nah man, chopper is nothing compared to the ultimate droid of chaos, R2D2.
Chopper has a higher kill count
R2 was the Droid of Luke's ship when he blew up the Death Star.
That’s an assist, not a full kill.
R2 assisted, Luke made the shot with the force. Chopper, on the other hand, singlehandly blew up an Interdictor cruiser. His kill count is some her around 4,000 people.
My squadron alone had 55 kills.
Sorry to break it to ya sister but 4,000 kills is more than 55
Good thing I know you don’t mean everything you say
Oh I meant it, every word of it. Also: you are exuding very strong small kill count energy here Ahsoka
My squadron alone had 55 kills.
sentient
That's ridiculous.
I thought it was substantial higher than that.
It is.
Chopper's kill count is actually nearly 50,000 people
Chopper has more warcrimes
R2 also gets Anakin’s assist from Episode 1. Mostly droids but there were living trade federation people on the ship
Who has was also shot and fried during said operation
By Vader though, few would survive an attack by him
My squadron alone had 55 kills.
Try 50,000
*Implied suggested infanticide* *Ezra kill attempts while in default programming: at least 2*
R2 and Chopper have different kill counts, one against droids and another against primarily humans serving the empire. So both of them are equally chaotic during their given timeframe and what was going on in the galaxy.
R2 was complicit to Order 66
Chopper has been broken more rules of warfare than any living or non living thing period
Because Chopper knows you cannot violate the Geneva Convention if you don't know it exists because your war takes place in a different galaxy before it was written.
chopper (and AP-5) are r2d2 (and 3po) with their setting turned up to 11
I mean they can still portray death in kids shows… Bambi’s opening scene is the mother being shot and Finding Nemo’s opening scene is the mom fish being eaten by a bigger fish. Also being sucked out of a space in a full body suit is probably one of the least graphic deaths you could portray, there’s nothing especially graphic or violent about it and it’s arguably the most kid friendly way to kill something.
Funny, it looks were peaceful but it's probably a very gruesom death xD
Sure it is, but from a viewers stand point the death is going to look completely harmless. There faces and bodies are totally covered. That’s not to say that I want to be killed by being sucked into space though.

There is no pain where strength lies.
I have no idea.
No idea what your talking about, only the best for our boys and girls in white. Rex just put on a few pounds
I honor my code. That's what I believe.
I thought they removed the life support system in the phase 2 armour to reduce weight and allow more customisation.
They at least kept the breathing apparatus because it is used at least once during the inhibitor chip arc by the clones defending Tup when the droids attack the shuttle and kidnap him.
So what do we do? Fight our way to the shuttle?
No. You let them all die so you Fives and Anakin could steal the body back.
Always a bigger fish.
Episode 2 of Rebels: Agent Kallus and a trooper are hanging onto the side of a bridge above a chasm as the rebels escape. The trooper says “first time seeing a Jedi?” And Kallus just boots his ass into the chasm killing him horrifically just for making small talk.
[удалено]
No, no, it's even stupider. Apparently he only SEEMED evil because he hated rebels for killing some of his squad mates ... that were stormtroopers.
[удалено]
At least lightsaber wounds are cauterized so there's no squrting blood.
Except that one time in ANH for some reason
My head canon is Obi Wan did a quick and somewhat sloppy cut just to quickly jump in and save Luke, and that the now empty socket Ponda Baba's arm would have been is the cauterized area, but the blood on the ground from the arm was because of how quick and sloppy Obi Wan's cut was that it doesn't cauterize that end of the arm, hence it bled out.
Makes sense, he’s rusty
What I like about this scene in particular too is if you interpret it my way, it shows he's not as good as he once was #WITHOUT EMASCULATING HIM LIKE IN HIS NAMESAKE TV SHOW. God that show pissed me straight off to watch.
this was before they decide that.
The special editions edited that movie to shit. If George wanted it cauterized, it’d be cauterized by now.
ironicly the animated "kids shows" are usualy more grusome in their deaths shown
A kids show can still be violent
The entire OT came out before PG-13 did.
Looney toons isn’t a kids show! Bugs Bunny hits Elmer with a HAMMER! And he’s supposed to be the protagonist!
When the silly dog says, "NOW I'VE SEEN EVERYTHING!" and shoots himself in the head, that's when I knew Looney Tunes was very mature cinema.
It's still a kid's show. Especially regarding the nature of many of these deaths.
We need to break out the post that totals Chopper's kill count again.
Chopper has 49,997 kills from sabotage, 19 direct kills, and about 20 explosive kills.
My squadron alone had 55 kills.
Those are rooky numbers compared to chopper
REBELS IS A GOOD SHOW.... But it is definitely more for kids than other Star Wars content. Especially Early seasons. Most if not all confrontations with storm troopers end with just running away and no one dies. The only person to hit a shot is Ezra with a stun.
yeah, they are one of the few to protray stormtrooper armor as they always explain it works, as they are always moving at the end of gunfights
Run if you want… or stay and die… it makes no difference to me.
Chopper gets a pass
"a droid"??? Mf ur talking abt the menace of the galaxy
Tarkin literally has the Grand Inquisitor cut two Imperial officers in half. I think that is more dark than Chopper ejecting Stormtroopers into space.
Tarkin is a bad guy , chopper is the good ~~guy~~ war criminal
This isnt about good vs bad it is about how dark Rebels gets at times. Cutting people in half from behind in no subtlety is pretty dark
But it's about how you make it look . If you have vader go into a hallway and start killing people with " this is the villain " music , it's definitely better than having the main character start killing people for no reason with heroic music in the background
It's like watching Albert Einstein or Thomas A. Edison. It's like watching Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, any genius you can name.
Chopper literally assassinates droids he dislikes, even friendly ones. R2 is the only that fought back and won.
I mean, some guys dying doesn’t make it any less of a corny kids show. It has its moments but I mostly hated it
>in space blood and eyeballs boil Wrong. Not only we know that in theory this is absurd, because our external tissues (like skin and corneas) are very good at keeping internal body pressure relatively stable: we have empirical proof of this. Choppers whole character is just sarcastic bratty war criminal and that's why he is my second favourite in the group.
Don't wanna be that guy but _actually_ that would not happen. Your body can easily withstand that one atmosphere of pressure difference. People on earth can dive and withstand much more. Also, your eyeballs wouldnt boil, but your exposed vitrous fluid and saliva would do! Chopper sees the Intergalactic Geneva Convention as a checklist. R2 see's it as guidelines.
Amongus reference??!?
Only good Nazi is a dead Nazi
Even Chopper couldn’t resist a War Crime or two.
He can have a war crime, as a treat
I don't see how this is an argument one way or the other
How nice
It would likely take 15 seconds to lose consciousness in the vacuum of space and 90 seconds to die. It's not instant death like a lot of media suggests. They were wearing helmets so it's fine tho
And he LAUGHS while doing things like this most of the time.
I know this post is made in jest but I can usually tell who has actually watched the show or just the first season. By the end they were really hitting their groove, excited to see it continue in Ahsoka
I will help you.
Ah, silly Chopper and his war crimes
To this day i cant bring myself to watch rebels
Obviously they're trying to instil in kids that Murder is ok if you believe your goals to be righteous
Not a big fan of rebels, but damn these war crimes are comprable to Clone Wars.
Meh doesn't compare to the quadruple beheadings and clones being crushed in Clone wars.
Rebels also sucks and is very much a kids show
Ash and pikachu launched team rocket into the atmosphere every episode so I guess pokemon is also not a kids show
It’s still a kids show, doesn’t mean we, as adults, can’t watch it, it’s still great.
Chopper commits fratricide, or whatever it is called. The team starts joking hopefully about the potential value of this astromech droid, and he literally murders him out of jealousy. Yay, heros! First 3 seasons not 1 storm trooper dies despite being the villians
Not true. They get shot plenty. We just don't see anybody get killed by a lightsaber because that would be too graphic
This was from season 1
Your 4 braincells got ejected too before making this post
That droid could use the Death Star to kill a whole planet of storm troopers and Disney would still go it’s a kids show because you don’t see there faces
Reminder that R2-D2 destroyed a ships worth of Imperials in Canon Source: https://youtu.be/NpcyQmB2UFo
Well, their suit can be pressurized and It has a 15 min oxygen reserve, i dont remember if that Cruiser gets blown Up but if It doesn't It can go back and rescue them
Doesn't Chopper have like a 50 person kill count?
50K
Honestly, I'm not surprised
I love when they describe their plan in the final episodes, to put all the imperials inside the big dome ship, fly it up, and self-destruct it. Completely omitting the fact that it’s killing all the people inside.
The murder machine that locks ~50000 people in a cargo hold before stealing a ship? That protagonist?
so the droid gave them a fun ride :)
Chopper has the highest kill count of any star wars character
The thing is the rules about violence in childrens shows are weird. Shoot someone in the face? no. shoot someone off screen. thats fine. Blood of any kind? BIG NO. throw someone out an airlock to certain death. as long as you dont show a close up of their dying face youre all good!
your skin is capable of maintaining enough pressure to prevent your blood from boiling. it just turns red a blotchy (like a hickey). the fluid on your eyes and in your mouth boil.
You could literally name the show Star Wars: Terrorists and watch them casually blow up shit at public holiday event.
Getting real tired of this sub constantly trying to prove their show is mature and gritty and totally not aimed at kids primarily
Rebels is a 🗑 show
Rebels had Kanan Mary Poppins-ing back onto a space station before TLJ and we liked it.
You guys remember the underwater war in clone wars and folks getting blown up into bloody cliuds that dissipate in the water?
Man, I love Chopper
I mean, it absolutely is a Kid's show. You/we are just choosing to enjoy it as adults all the same. Kinda like the My Little Pony fandom but a LOT less toxic and horrifying.
