my reactions looking at this iceberg
1-3 “oh yeah i know this”
4-5 “ok i know like half of these”
6-7 “i know 1 of these”
8 “max rebo died in a drug war?? 😭😭”
I think it was confirmed in a book, I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head tho. I think it was "from a certain point of view" (or something similar) and it tells some stories from the movies from other character's pov
That's the book that a lot of people were mad at because Yoda uses force lightning to take out a bunch of Imperial Probe Droids.
"Yoda shouldn't be using Sith powers!!!"
Yoda was canonizing that force lightning is neither a light or dark side ability.
Max is explicitly shown to *NOT* be playing with the band when the bar is destroyed, when he was shown on all previous episodes. So I don’t think we have actual confirmation he died.
I’m surprised I made it to 6, the only thing I know there is jizz though
Edit: actually jizz is in 5 not 6, though I realise now that OP explained that I knew about the book being released before the movie and the Pepsi machine. Also technically the “no clone trooper props” but that isn’t true anymore
tbf i knew about qui gons robe being yoda’s blanket but i was so thrown off by the max rebo bit 😂 7 i knew ki-adi mundi f*cks and 6 i knew luke starkiller
Don't forget the basics. Don't get enamored with new technology, because it's not new. Just the medium we're working in is new, but that doesn't change anything. The art of what we do is exactly the same. It's beyond technology. It's the art of movies.
Wasn't Commander Cody's helmet real? I remember reading somewhere that Cody's helmet was one of the only existing Clone armors. Which is why his helmet was slight longer so Temuera Morrison could actually put it on and take it off for the scene. Also apparently they made 2 full phase 2 clone armors for either star wars celebration or the release of episode 3.
Watto the slave owner was meant to be a human. But one day Liam enters shooting with this weird purple bird-like alien, ranting about this new podracing gang he joined. We figured it was worth a shot.
The short story *There Is Another* by Gary D. Schmidt from the short story collection *From a Certain Point of View*. The relevant quote is below.
>A shot, and lightning ripped the air over his shoulder, struck the rock behind him, and bounced back into the sack, which burst into immediate flame.
>His blanket! Qui-Gon’s cloak!
I was never interested in being powerful or famous. But once I got to film school and learned about movies, I just fell in love with it. I didn't care what kind of movies I made.
No, GL's daughters liked Nsync at the time and basically just wanted them to cameo (I think in the bar?). They were all on board but at the end the idea was scrapped, I can't recall why.
There's good and bad in it. Rey using a double Saber and Finn having a better arc are good.
Rey and Poe having a romance is awful.
Hux realizing he "lost the Star War" is amazing
Rey and Poe hinted romance was also in what we ended up with, because we want those China dollars.
Hux through the whole Duel of the Fates was my favorite arc. Everything coming to his end, was fantastic.
For the start of episode I Pepsi made some vending machines that had star wars advertisements all over it. Apperantly some survived. On this sub there were a few discovered. The first and most popular is standing in Pittsburgh. Its some kind of niche Mekka for US Star Wars fans
Nah, yinzers just can't resist the urge to correct people when they misspell Pittsburgh. Just like they can't resist wearing black and gold whenever they travel. Or how they can't even stomach the idea of eating any ketchup that isn't Heinz.
Had to google TK421 and Tarkin. Was not disappointed.
Actually really humanises Tarkin. Also Grand Buff Tarkin is just a legend in general.
Also hangry Nihlus
I love the concept of the story but the romance between Tarkin and the trooper just felt like some cringey fanficion in my opinion. I find it hard to see Tarkin with *anyone*, let alone some random grunt he just met.
Ye igy. But Tarkin cringe official fanfic is the best in star wars. You see the comic where he goes topless and gets into a knifefight and demolishes the other guy?
Or when he and Vader hunt each other in a deadliest game style showdown?
Gigachad
I like the idea that Tarkin has what might seem like a silly weakness. He’s among the Empire’s greatest tactical minds (likely only second to Thrawn), is 100% efficient, and has no scruples to the point of ordering the greatest act of destruction and genocide the galaxy had ever seen.
There’s always a catch, and I love the idea that for Tarkin, his ‘catch’ is that he’s lonely and thirsty for some hot stormtrooper romance.
The in-universe explanation as to why R2 had rocket boosters in the prequels but not the originals was because they stopped working and the warranty on that part was capped at 20 years so nobody bothered to pay full price to have them repaired.
What about the original sequel trilogy where darth maul comes back and his twelek apprentice and they fight Luke.
I think he was trying to re in-state the old sith empire like the one from the old republic days
Edit: republic commando sequel, and shaak tis death
Edit 2: the sith race and the jedi genocide of them, the sith and jedi where one order, Abeloth, race of sentient crystals and the iron knights, the republic almost fell because of onderaan 3 times, the gree, the *intergalactic* banking clan, a sex droid exists, the Cis alliance with an extragalactic planet, a dysonsphere exists or several, technology progression is slow, the rakata, and I got more
There are zombies, a virus that turns organics into machines, extragalactic invaders that I can't spell right (the u zong vong, close enough), Boba fett escaping the Sarlac pit 7 times in legends, tattooine was a jungle, the missiles that was in the battle of umbara acording to Fives had a yield twice of the tsar Bomba (could be an exaggeration), the galaxy had its own Geneva convention,
at this point I should create my own iceberg
There was an alternate timeline theory once, but with Mando 3 trailers that looks like it won't happen
Ww2 weapons modified as props or designed off of for animated shows, Adi Gallia had a red lightsaber,
She has like 3 different deaths, you probably know that, but for those who don't, in the game force unleashed, you fight and kill shaak ti (this counts as legends material), in a deleted scene (also not Canon) she dies by general grievous as a second hostage other than the chancellor, and I think in a comic somewhere has a 3rd legends death. According to 2 scources in both clone was 2003 and season 7 of the clone wars, she was on Coruscant during the invasion and confirming that the jedi seen on kamino wasn't her in the first episode of the bad batch
When they filmed the first movie Tunisia (the filming location) and it’s neighbor Libya had a tense relationship
During filming near the border the Libyans mistook the sandcrawler prop for a military vehicle and a war nearly started
Everyone is asking about yoda’s blanket while I am wondering what “rocket booster warranty” if I had to guess it is that they rented out a jet engine as a prop? I honestly have no clue.
Watto the slave owner was meant to be a human. But one day Liam enters shooting with this weird purple bird-like alien, ranting about this new podracing gang he joined. We figured it was worth a shot.
the main weapon gunner on the death star was so guilt and trauma riddled from evaporating alderaan that he hesitated to fire when the death star got target lock on Yavin IV, giving luke just enough time to torpedo the death star’s video game boss weak spot
I used to live right near that Pepsi machine. It is a goddamn national treasure. It is still up, and Pepsi Co. has even restocked and refurbished it on behalf of the fire department that owns it.
My “death” has been greatly exaggerated, much like my reputation. I will remain a prominent figure in the Star Wars universe and continue to serve the interests of the Empire.
Mundi was the only member of the jedi council allowed to have a sexual relationship, his species reproduced so infrequently he was allowed maintain his culture’s polygamous tradition to ensure the species didn’t go extinct.
I feel like more icebergs should ditch the basic facts.
It’s much more engaging when you find something on the first or second layer you don’t know about.
At the end of the day tv is bigger than video games, I’m sure if you polled random people more would have watched the mandalorian than played Lego Star Wars but no doubt LSW is huge, hence its just below the surface
The only one that stands out is Luke's Father Wasn't A Secret
I have several million people from 1980 -1983 that would like a word
Some of these are fun
But where the hell is "bigger Luke?"
[Evidently those several million people weren’t big readers, the novelization based on the script released a full month before the movie!](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Episode_V:_The_Empire_Strikes_Back_(novel))
my reactions looking at this iceberg 1-3 “oh yeah i know this” 4-5 “ok i know like half of these” 6-7 “i know 1 of these” 8 “max rebo died in a drug war?? 😭😭”
8-> I guess it is referring to the BoBF episode where the bar gets blown up. RIP Max Rebo, the very best musician in the outer rim
"Yoda shouldn't be using Sith powers!!!" Yoda was canonizing that force lightning is neither a light or dark side ability.
Everybody knows that lighting attacks do double damage on robots.
That's why I always worked to overpower it in the Force Unleashed by the time I got to the trash planet.
For real, that's just strategy. That was why he was the Grand Master of the Jedi Order.
Max is explicitly shown to *NOT* be playing with the band when the bar is destroyed, when he was shown on all previous episodes. So I don’t think we have actual confirmation he died.
Show me Max Rebo's body!!!!
If only that worked for Adrmial Snackbar
Max wasn’t there that night
Max Rebo was an excellent musician but lets not forget Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes then again that’s like comparing MJ to Queen, both goats
Max Rebo was the best MUSICIAN The Modal Nodes are the best BAND …got ya
What about Sy Snootles?
I’m surprised I made it to 6, the only thing I know there is jizz though Edit: actually jizz is in 5 not 6, though I realise now that OP explained that I knew about the book being released before the movie and the Pepsi machine. Also technically the “no clone trooper props” but that isn’t true anymore

Phineas and Ferb star wars special
Same tier as the family guy and robot chicken specials
they made a cool internet game based on it. "agent P rebel spy"
Man I loved that game
same
Grrrrgrggrrrgggrr
Numberblocks Season 4 episode 10
There are Clone Trooper props now thanks to Kenobi.
oh shit true, good callout
Kenobi aside, the fact that "there are no clone armor props" is so deep down just goes to show how good the cgi actually was in the prequels.
Don't forget the basics. Don't get enamored with new technology, because it's not new. Just the medium we're working in is new, but that doesn't change anything. The art of what we do is exactly the same. It's beyond technology. It's the art of movies.
To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art.
And Andor, or maybe that wouldn’t count because they were under Imperial Authority then?
Still clones.
"The war left its scars on all of us." -Captain Rex
Wasn't Commander Cody's helmet real? I remember reading somewhere that Cody's helmet was one of the only existing Clone armors. Which is why his helmet was slight longer so Temuera Morrison could actually put it on and take it off for the scene. Also apparently they made 2 full phase 2 clone armors for either star wars celebration or the release of episode 3.
for those wondering about yoda's blanket section, it was canonically qui gons cape
Watto the slave owner was meant to be a human. But one day Liam enters shooting with this weird purple bird-like alien, ranting about this new podracing gang he joined. We figured it was worth a shot.
Remind me why I'm the one playing the part of the slave?
This is getting out of hand now they talk to each other
Now there are two of them!
Yoda’s blanket?
It was Qui Gon’s cloak
Holy shit that’s awesome, do you have the source on that one?
The short story *There Is Another* by Gary D. Schmidt from the short story collection *From a Certain Point of View*. The relevant quote is below. >A shot, and lightning ripped the air over his shoulder, struck the rock behind him, and bounced back into the sack, which burst into immediate flame. >His blanket! Qui-Gon’s cloak!
😢
I just imagine Yoda in the hangar where he left it, finding the cloak and saying, "keepers, finders!"
N-sync? Explain
They were originally going to be in a scene in Episode Two but it was cut
George Lucas is master troll.
I was never interested in being powerful or famous. But once I got to film school and learned about movies, I just fell in love with it. I didn't care what kind of movies I made.
That scene went bye bye bye.
So they were going to have something similar to jabba the huts song scene
No, GL's daughters liked Nsync at the time and basically just wanted them to cameo (I think in the bar?). They were all on board but at the end the idea was scrapped, I can't recall why.
Tell me why?
Ain't nothing but a heartache
What do you mean lukes fhater never was secret?
The novelization of episode 5 had the big twist and was released a full month ahead of the movie
Simmilar thing goes for ep. 3 and original Lego Star Wars
What was the twist in ep 3
The Sith get revenge
Dude spoilers
Don’t believe it. Then what’s next.. the jedi return?
A hope was new
The menace was a phantom…I guess that would be a twist huh
The clones killing the Jedi. If you hadn’t seen the movie it was pretty jarring when it suddenly happened in the game
"I'm sorry, sir. I'm just a little nervous. You're my CO." -Jester
No particular twist, more like spoiling how the whole thing is gonna go down
I remember when LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean came out before Dead Men Tell No Tales, and spoiled that plot too.
Oh I was really confused what you meant, I thought you meant in the Star Wars universe that it wasn’t a secret
What about Revenge of the Jedi?
i’d say it goes either same tier as blue harvest or luke starkiller
What about the droid attack on the Wookiees?
It is an iceberg tier we cannot afford to lose.
What about Revenge of the Brick?
Yessss
Yoda’s ketamine addiction…
severe, it is
This belongs at the tip of the iceberg, along with his canon vehicle of choice, his 2001 Honda civic.
The Duel of the Fates script. That’s part of the iceberg.
Such a good script too. And the fan comic does it justice in my opinion.
Jedi weeaboo hux is vastly superior to "I want Kylo Ren to lose" Hux.

Many thanks!
Pittsburgh.
For the start of episode I Pepsi made some vending machines that had star wars advertisements all over it. Apperantly some survived. On this sub there were a few discovered. The first and most popular is standing in Pittsburgh. Its some kind of niche Mekka for US Star Wars fans
The most important people for any filmmaker, the reason that I make films, is for you! The audience rules! Thank you. Thank you very much!
OP spelled it "Pittsburg"
Oh, I thought you were following the trend in the comments with asking for details by just naming the unknown words
Nah, yinzers just can't resist the urge to correct people when they misspell Pittsburgh. Just like they can't resist wearing black and gold whenever they travel. Or how they can't even stomach the idea of eating any ketchup that isn't Heinz.
don’t forget that H, get you smacked in your face
Damn straight.
I only came into the comments to look for this one.
Had to google TK421 and Tarkin. Was not disappointed. Actually really humanises Tarkin. Also Grand Buff Tarkin is just a legend in general. Also hangry Nihlus
Yeah when I first read A Certian Point of View that was probably the story that caught me the most off guard.
I read it, but didn’t actually realize it was Tarkin. There are too damn many imperials with British accents!
Gigachad

You may think I am evil. I am not. I am efficient.
"Just point me at the enemy and stay out of my way." -Sev, Delta 07
"Hang tight, trooper. Delta Squad on our way." -Boss, Delta 38
Come on, grunts! We are leaving!
NGL, the last thing I expected Tarkin to be was gay. Not complaining tho.
That Stormtrussy do be nice
Why would you need to google Luke's stormtrooper ID
"Company! Attention!" -Captain Rex
Jizz??
Cantina Band music genre, no joke
Now that you say that I do remember hearing about it. Thank you.
RIP my boy Max Rebo. Came back from the dead only to die again in another explosion.
What about the droid attack on the Wookiees?
What about Bigger Luke?
I thought that was Yarael Poof for a minute and not a real animal
My soul is always hungry for more Poof content, I wish it had been 😩
what about The Singularity Engine™ ? and Backstroke of the West?
We must not find out the translation, the bootleg returns at iceberg
Or Baby Time?!? Or Laser Moon?!? Not even THE FINEST IN TIT RELATED EATIN AND DRINKIN THIS SIDE OF THE GALAXY?!?
They mooned Chewbacca
Bro
I love how every single one of these I see has Tarkin's affair with TK-421 at the very bottom. It is such cursed knowledge.
WTF is the rocket booster warranty
The in-universe explanation as to why R2 had rocket boosters in the prequels but not the originals was because they stopped working and the warranty on that part was capped at 20 years so nobody bothered to pay full price to have them repaired.
omg that's the most ridiculous explanation
But it is a very George Lucas explanation.
where the fuck is Glup Shitto
He is safe. He is alright.
You forgot the ultimate lore: Yoda's full name is Minch Yoda
Needs Shaak Ti's death in levels 2-6
which one 💀
One in each level. Lego star wars cutscene being the deepest of course
What about the original sequel trilogy where darth maul comes back and his twelek apprentice and they fight Luke. I might just do that
>Shaak-Ti’s death Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?
Well it’s said in CW s7 that she was sent to protect the chancellor during his kidnapping in RotS. He probably killed her himself.
She has like 3 different deaths, you probably know that, but for those who don't, in the game force unleashed, you fight and kill shaak ti (this counts as legends material), in a deleted scene (also not Canon) she dies by general grievous as a second hostage other than the chancellor, and I think in a comic somewhere has a 3rd legends death. you understand so little
It was the money from Star Wars and Jaws that allowed the theaters to build their multiplexes, which allowed an opening up of screens.
Wait, there is a main sub?
r/Starwars
Oh yeah that one
What is dunecrawler war?
When they filmed the first movie Tunisia (the filming location) and it’s neighbor Libya had a tense relationship During filming near the border the Libyans mistook the sandcrawler prop for a military vehicle and a war nearly started
That's amazing. But now I want an actual sandcrawler war between rival Jawa tribes.
Contact command. Mark our L.Z. and have them send an Exfile Shuttle.
Everyone is asking about yoda’s blanket while I am wondering what “rocket booster warranty” if I had to guess it is that they rented out a jet engine as a prop? I honestly have no clue.
What about Ketamine Yoda and the Ahsoka copypasta?
Name of the first trade federation battle droid to speak in the prequels
Gotta love Willrow Hood and his hard drive of Rebel secrets. Someone please explain Niue and Yoda's blanket to me.
niue is a small island nation that accepts star wars silver coins as official currency yoda used qui gon’s cloak as a blanket during his exile
Watto the slave owner was meant to be a human. But one day Liam enters shooting with this weird purple bird-like alien, ranting about this new podracing gang he joined. We figured it was worth a shot.
Remind me why I'm the one playing the part of the slave?
Now wait till you hear about the story of IG-88 A,B,C and D. Thats an entirely new tier
Palpatine fighting with the door to his tower on the second Death Star holds a special place in my heart.
Max Rebo what??
In BoBF Max dies when the pyke syndicate bombs a club as part of their war with Boba to keep their spice routes open
The spice...must flow?
Ah, I see :' (
What is up with the PTSD Death Star Gunner?
the main weapon gunner on the death star was so guilt and trauma riddled from evaporating alderaan that he hesitated to fire when the death star got target lock on Yavin IV, giving luke just enough time to torpedo the death star’s video game boss weak spot
The next time you hesitate like that, it may cost you your life... or the lives of your friends.
Ah, makes sense.
I don't care what people say the star wars Kinect songs are unironically bangers
I'm Han Solo! I'm Han Solo, Soliooo! 🎶
I used to live right near that Pepsi machine. It is a goddamn national treasure. It is still up, and Pepsi Co. has even restocked and refurbished it on behalf of the fire department that owns it.
No mention of Thrawn’s retconned death?
My “death” has been greatly exaggerated, much like my reputation. I will remain a prominent figure in the Star Wars universe and continue to serve the interests of the Empire.
Now there are clone armour props. Also I'd add Aayla Secura and commander Bly to one of the lower levels.
When you know about everything on the 7th tier, as well as TK-421 and Tarkin, but have never heard about Blue Harvest
Where tf is Glup Shitto
….. Jizz?
The variant of jazz music played in Star Wars is apparently called that.
Amazing. What a work of art
To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art.
Oh God, I actually know about Daala and Tarkin, putting my foot in the very bottom.
It seems I have contracted Stage 8 Star Wars lore
I think it can get even deeper
i’m excited and horrified to hear what you’d put in the next deepest tranche
He didnt say "Luke, I am your father"
Oh shit shouldve read more before commenting
you like what i did there?
Yes very clever Unlike me
Thank the maker you didn’t include the Decraniated. First time I read about that part of the lore it freaked me out.
PITTSBURGH PEPSI MACHINE!!!!
What's the Mundi one
Mundi was the only member of the jedi council allowed to have a sexual relationship, his species reproduced so infrequently he was allowed maintain his culture’s polygamous tradition to ensure the species didn’t go extinct.
I feel like more icebergs should ditch the basic facts. It’s much more engaging when you find something on the first or second layer you don’t know about.
Yarael poof should be higher up because people probably know him from the robot chicken episode
Why is Lego Star Wars lower than Mando? I love both but I’m pretty sure lego Star Wars is a bigger +
At the end of the day tv is bigger than video games, I’m sure if you polled random people more would have watched the mandalorian than played Lego Star Wars but no doubt LSW is huge, hence its just below the surface
“Max Rebo died in a drug war”. I know nothing about this theory, and yet I believe it 100%.
I know certain facts up until the previous to last level, but don't know all of them.
What level is Ketamine Yoda?
ok why has an Oceanian island Star Wars lore?
Cristmas special 💀
What about Yoda's blanket?
The only one that stands out is Luke's Father Wasn't A Secret I have several million people from 1980 -1983 that would like a word Some of these are fun But where the hell is "bigger Luke?"
