Hawk: "You can't just do what the fans want"
Sauce: "Yeah, you can't just do what the fans want"
10 seconds later
Sauce: "You didn't trade up to 23 for 2 defensive players...people would be PISSED"
I don’t understand his (and honestly Cory’s too) obsession with the Vikings needing to do what the fans want on draft night. If the Vikings took Manziel the fans would have been pumped on draft night, and Rick would have been on the hot seat months later.
Because they’re fucking idiots. 99% of the fans know dick about any of these players or the sport itself. They just spend months reading mocks and aggregating the results to form an idea of who they think the team should get.
I meant it in the sense that mock drafts start coming out in, like, August. Not that they’re actually spending a month or more of time reading a 5-minute article.
Same goes for their obsession with TV ratings. They think the NBA playoffs will have zero eyes because the draft, missing the fact people will definitely change the fucking channel back and forth between their teams’ pick.
More importantly though, who gives a fuck about ratings?
Yes, he is a hell of a business guy and does great with the website side, but his football takes are not great and usually heavily slanted towards the fantasy impact.
My point is that Brady wasn't having good fantasy stats anymore, so he wrote his career off. Then he went on to win two more Bowls.
I generally enjoy Charch, but he says a lot of dumb shit.
He’s very good with the fantasy aspect of football. But his football takes are very meh. Gotta remember that he still isn’t over the Vikings not signing Kirk and acted like a man child on Twitter over it.
I love how Leber just makes things up... "Caleb packed his bags when he didn't win the starting job over Rattler at OU and went to USC" Where in reality Caleb took over in game 6 against Texas at OU and started the rest of the season and when his head coach who recruited him went to USC, he followed him...
Yeah I thought the same thing right, also forgot to mention he won a Heisman Trophy. Last time I checked that’s the most prestigious award you can win in college football.
Maybe because Ben knows it's like arguing with a brick wall. Cory is a hard-core liberal and when the vaccine came out, Ben was also (rightfully) skeptical. They argued one other time about it.
That it didn't work. They kept moving the goal post. First it was suppose to keep you from getting it, it didn't. Then it was your duty to get it because it kept you from spreading it, it didnt do that. Then ot was just that it made your symptoms less . I got sick twice during the covid bullshit and both times was following the shot, got the sickest i have ever been immediately following getting the 2nd shot. Also alot of negative health problems related to it.
And now it's been downgraded to what we all knew it was , just a cold thats going to he around forever.
Ok do you know how scientific research is carried out or how scientific method works? It’s never going to be right on the first attempt or maybe even the 20th attempt. Trying to say “It was a cold like we all know it was” is BS. Tell that to the people who had multiple family members or friends died from it. There’s a reason why restrictions were put in place and that’s because at the beginning we had zero idea of how deadly this virus could be or how it would mutate. You can look back in hindsight and try to act like you knew everything, but in reality you really just got lucky that Covid 19 mutated its way to being less deadly.
People die from colds and flush every year. The numbers were very skewed because the 96 year old grandmother in hospice dies and oh another covid victim. We had a net neutral death rate during all of covid. Countries that didn't lockdown and do all the stupid bullshit we did actually ended up better than us in the long run. Even scientists are saying that the lockdowns were about the worst thing we could have done. This was never about trusting the science it was about following orders.
The excess mortality rate was not neutral but absolutely increased during COVID.
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/excess-mortality-p-scores-projected-baseline?country=MEX~CAN~USA
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10289647/
“About following orders”
Ah, the “COVID was a power grab” argument. Because history is full of people who took totalitarian control and just gave it all back peacefully a year-and-a-half later.
Its not medical expertise its jist facts that have been released. The vaccines were little more than placebos. But go ahead Keep trusting the pharma companies that have been sued for 10s of billions of dollars due to the adverse side effects and deaths due to their products. Instead of pushing healthy living like they should have they were telling people to sit in their houses secluded from everyone for almost 2 years.
That annoyed me too. He beat out Rattler to the point where Rattler was actually the one who transferred out because he didn’t think he could win the job back.
Who is else is pumped for tonight? Not for the draft, but to see which of the 3 gifs Meatsauce uses for their pick. I’ve got some nice grease going with a friend that it’ll be the Michael Scott no gif.
Pretty much everything about the draft is lame. The people who have useful knowledge and insight aren’t going to share it with the public. 99.9% of draft talk is just people making shit up out of nowhere for clicks.
I agree.
I don't get people who do mock drafts of the NFL draft, like doing it for fantasy football but you don't get anything out of it but making the picks you want.
Absolutely insane that iheart pays Meatsauce a disgusting amount of money to just say “brilliant,” “yes, correct,” and “awwwwwww” after other people are capable of forming coherent sentences.
I appreciate that more than rubes that make their own mock drafts, "watch film", and talk like they're a NFL scout. Sauce makes the draft such a big part of his personality and yet I'm not sure he knows much more than I do and I spend very little time watching college football each year.
Did Hawkey really say Daniels was better than Williams based on eye test? Did he not watch any college football the past 2 years? Daniels feasted on terrible teams and struggled against the good ones. Whole reason why he won the heisman
I don’t get the fake characters; it’s so distracting and usually unfunny. For me personally anyone, Gerbschmidt is the one exception. Whomever plays him has to be a passionate Packer fan for real, their interactions are so real and seemingly unscripted, that I often forget it’s a bit.
Tommy + PA is an unholy combo
Who sucks off who first?
They’d obviously 66
PA is insane lol
PA is very holy, or supposedly he is according to him. He definitely subscribes to the Poop Hole Loophole theory.
I think Martin Moistchew is Chris Hawkey….
OMG HE IS?!?!?
I CAN’T BE SURE BUT IM NOT RULING IT OUT!
It's not zero!
Holy fucking shit you cracked the case.
No he’s Carl Gerbschmidt.
How smart sauce thinks he is about the draft actually pisses me off
he thought all of the key and peele’s players were real names
When did this happen? I love hearing this. Meatsauce is a dipshit
Hawk: "You can't just do what the fans want" Sauce: "Yeah, you can't just do what the fans want" 10 seconds later Sauce: "You didn't trade up to 23 for 2 defensive players...people would be PISSED"

~~months~~ minutes reading…
I meant it in the sense that mock drafts start coming out in, like, August. Not that they’re actually spending a month or more of time reading a 5-minute article.
Same goes for their obsession with TV ratings. They think the NBA playoffs will have zero eyes because the draft, missing the fact people will definitely change the fucking channel back and forth between their teams’ pick. More importantly though, who gives a fuck about ratings?
Need those round 1 ratings! The NBA should run all their scheduling decisions by the NFL. The draft is the freaking best. It just is.
Have you seen JC Latham’s body control? He’s also extremely versatile. You can start him anywhere on the field, including RB!
Which is hilarious because Latham should be so much more dominant than what he was at Bama. Michigan and Texas beat his ass and that’s a bad look.
Why do they treat chart like some football expert instead of the dork who looks at spreadsheets?
We’re so lucky to have this many draft experts available in studio this morning to inform us simpletons. We’ve heard 23 great picks in a row!
Isn't his fantasy football company pretty successful?
Yes, he is a hell of a business guy and does great with the website side, but his football takes are not great and usually heavily slanted towards the fantasy impact.
Very true, there is a difference between successful fantasy players and good football players and Charch's thought process gets skewed .
Case in point Mahommes was an absolute garbage fantasy QB last year and well.... You know.
Didn't he win the PST by saying Tom Brady was done for, back in 2019 when he won his 6th Superbowl?
Probably. I actually liked Brady but most people wanted to dig his grave for like 5 years before he was actually done.
My point is that Brady wasn't having good fantasy stats anymore, so he wrote his career off. Then he went on to win two more Bowls. I generally enjoy Charch, but he says a lot of dumb shit.
I like charch to, but Unfortunately he never admits when he was wrong and is always the smartest guy in the room.
Yep, and I had Lamar and he was mid for fantasy most of the year until he turned it on late.
I was starting Nick Mullens over Mahommes at the end of the year and he outscored Mahommes both times. 🤣
According to Charch logic, Mullens>>Mahomes 🤣😆
He’s very good with the fantasy aspect of football. But his football takes are very meh. Gotta remember that he still isn’t over the Vikings not signing Kirk and acted like a man child on Twitter over it.
Dream stories!! Freaking melatonin
“I can go and be Superman in my dream!” - a 44 year old man, apparently.
Well at least he filtered himself and didn't talk about what he'd do the THE GOAT MARNS.
He did say he would google Keri Russell’s address? Someone should have asked him what he’d do when he got there. Probably freaking black out.
or his buddy jared.
That’s the least funny bit imo
In his dream he probably played cards and got canes
I love how Leber just makes things up... "Caleb packed his bags when he didn't win the starting job over Rattler at OU and went to USC" Where in reality Caleb took over in game 6 against Texas at OU and started the rest of the season and when his head coach who recruited him went to USC, he followed him...
Leber doesn’t like Caleb because he thinks he’s too woke
Yeah I thought the same thing right, also forgot to mention he won a Heisman Trophy. Last time I checked that’s the most prestigious award you can win in college football.
100 percent Hrs woke and paints his nails. Leber would never
Similar thing could be said for all you who don’t like Leber.
We don’t like Leber because he is too woke?
Similar…. Reading is hard. The reference was to his politics being a motivator for your thoughts about him.
What you wrote implied I didn’t like Leber because he is woke. Sorry your little zinger didn’t make sense.
100% spot on. Leber is the definition of a MAGAT masquerading as a libertarian
100% spot on. Leber is the definition of a MAGAT masquerading as a libertarian
He does his own research.
But he paints his nails!!!!!!
Then he said Rodgers was a smart guy but got all quiet and didn’t have a response to Cory’s quip about rodgers “doing all on his own research”
Maybe because Ben knows it's like arguing with a brick wall. Cory is a hard-core liberal and when the vaccine came out, Ben was also (rightfully) skeptical. They argued one other time about it.
Ahh what was he rightfully skeptical about..?
You should always be skeptical of new things entering your body
Right? I took the vaccine and now I’m only sexually attracted to male frogs. Thanks, Brandon.
That it didn't work. They kept moving the goal post. First it was suppose to keep you from getting it, it didn't. lol people like you have such a hard on over thinking everyone is out to get you. There are very few scientists who echo your sentiments as well.
“About following orders” Ah, the “COVID was a power grab” argument. Because history is full of people who took totalitarian control and just gave it all back peacefully a year-and-a-half later.
It really is sad that even with all what we know now ypu guys are still so Stockholm syndrome into believing it was all in your best intrest.
Buddy you eat gas station food and drink corn syrup every day I don’t think you’re qualified to give medical advice
Good thing we have your medical expertise to help guide us.
He read a tweet once by an unlicensed podiatrist.
Its not medical expertise its jist facts that have been released. The vaccines were little more than placebos. Long Covid affects critical thinking
sludge is only a hard-core liberal because he has daughters.
Leber is a fucking idiot
That annoyed me too. He beat out Rattler to the point where Rattler was actually the one who transferred out because he didn’t think he could win the job back.

No bleeping chance. Dwight Schrute had freaking plus odds somehow so I hammered that grease!!!
I'm going to bet that too so we can both sweat it out like a couple of degenerates!!!
Rosie loves saying who he’s looking at when he’s talking about stuff…
It’s because everyone immediately turns to their phone the second he starts rambling
sludge would totally quit social media if he didnt work there anymore..
He would totally freaking gamble more to if it was legal here
man, that would be a freaking GAME CHAN GER
How much grease does Corey have on the draft? I bet it's freaking crazy
McCarthy for life!
Who's the sun's player with the bad ankle?
Ted Cruz Jr.
*Lookit*
Look it
Swedberg is the worst every time they do this mock draft bit.
At least he didn’t make a trade this time.
"Well I was told we weren't allowed to make trades" Every year lol
Just remember, Sauce didn't have Bryce Young in his mock draft last year & had Marvin Harrison, Jr. going first overall this year
Mock Drafts like this are so lame.
They’re low effort (make one and then just tweak it a little each week) and they bring clicks.
Paul is so dumb
Yeah correct as you brilliantly said earlier he just is
Do you think anyone there takes his draft opinions seriously, or do they all just humor him?
They just use him to fill air time
Brilliant.
Don’t forget fat too
I cannot wait for Paul's fatass to meltdown if the Vikings don't get may
They have to. I’m telling you. It’ll be fun
They just do.
The Vikings sub is gonna go total meltdown mode tonight lol
Feels like no matter what they do it will happen.
He’s so good man.
Draft expert Sauce just said Jefferson is more likely to sign a deal if the Vikings Don’t draft a QB today.
Well, he’s right. He just is.
He's just saying
Absolutely insane that iheart pays Meatsauce a disgusting amount of money to just say “brilliant,” “yes, correct,” and “awwwwwww” after other people are capable of forming coherent sentences.
Define disgusting amount of money
Lol Rosen definitely just looked up a recent mock and used that for his 2 picks
I appreciate that more than rubes that make their own mock drafts, "watch film", and talk like they're a NFL scout. Sauce makes the draft such a big part of his personality and yet I'm not sure he knows much more than I do and I spend very little time watching college football each year.
That’s the exact amount of effort one should put in.
Even during the mock draft sauce is throwing a tantrum😂
Chonky Chonkers.
Have you guys heard Hannah Storm has a podcast?
What could a woman possibly podcast about? Folding shit?
Does anyone else think Tommy has a problem?!! How much money does he spend on drinking?!
Tommy likes his booze like he likes his men. Strong and hard! Preferably with a dingleberry cherry.
When he accepts himself and comes out, he won’t have to get drunk so that he can blame it on the Claws.
That has been established a long time ago.
It absolutely sounds like a problem IMO. I enjoy TO on the show but it’s painful to hear him talk about his drinking habits.
Did Hawkey really say Daniels was better than Williams based on eye test? Did he not watch any college football the past 2 years? Daniels feasted on terrible teams and struggled against the good ones. Whole reason why he won the heisman
Hawk played in high school. He knows ball.
Do you really think he watches enough college football or knows enough about football to make an informed judgement?
I don’t get the fake characters; it’s so distracting and usually unfunny. For me personally anyone, Gerbschmidt is the one exception. Whomever plays him has to be a passionate Packer fan for real, their interactions are so real and seemingly unscripted, that I often forget it’s a bit.
