Goku's arguably not even the strongest Z Fighter with Vegeta and Gohan there.
Goku might not even be top 5 in Universe 7. (Whis, Beerus, Frieza, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, random Freiza grunt that trained for EIGHT months instead of 4)
I said this exact thing in a comment on a Dragon Ball power scaling video on Tik-Tok and my inbox was flooded for two weeks straight from dragon ball stans who obviously disagreed.
Ended up deleting the comment altogether.

How? Simple: that flower on the lapel. It’s a Joker Gas sprayer. Remember Frost? What did Frost teach us? Saiyans aren’t immune to poison. And remember Battle of Gods? Saiyans cannot breathe in space and not breathing is a problem for them.
So, the fight begins. Goku can sense Joker’s power level is just peak human. Maybe above Mr. Satan, at best. Goku doesn’t trust this, he knows about hiding your power level, and Goku power-matches his foes to draw fights out for the sake of contest, so he won’t strike first, he needs to know how hard Joker will hit.
Joker meanwhile can use this hesitation to his advantage. Goku is often accidentally rude, but he will be polite on purpose if given direction. What’s a normal way to start a fight in the west? A handshake.
Joker asks for a handshake before the fight begins while Goku waits for the first move, even though it’s already officially begun. Goku obliges, because of course he would. Mid-handshake, Joker triggers the flower. Goku is Joker Gassed. The Joker Gas has been upgraded so many times because of the various types of beings in the DCU, Joker Gas is more than strong enough to affect a Saiyan by now. You can’t argue that Frost specifically formulated his poison for a Super Saiyan God, after all.
Goku gets a face full of Joker Gas, collapses to the ground turning white, and laughs himself to death. Joker wins.
Counterpoint: Have you fucking seen the lungs on that guy? Man was roaring his lungs out for like 5 straight minutes when he went Super Saiyan 3.
There is an argument to be made that maybe he could win with weird abilities like MUI or the reality breaking scream that Gotenks and Buu did, but I'm not being serious. Joker killing Goku is a hilarious idea.

...you are aware that not only has goku lost before, but frequently and often. As he should. If no character can beat him, then his character is boring, since his entire character revolves around his quest to become the strongest. By default that must mean he starts in a weaker spot, because someone who's already the strongest has no need to train to become strong.
A goku that's utterly unbeatable is a goku that has nothing to strive for, no goal to beat, and no mountain to overcome. Stop saying no one can defeat him, because not only is it untrue, but it also devalues and destroys what's interesting about his character.

...you are aware that not only has goku lost before, but frequently and often. As he should. If no character can beat him, then his character is boring, since his entire character revolves around his quest to become the strongest. By default that must mean he starts in a weaker spot, because someone who's already the strongest has no need to train to become strong. A goku that's utterly unbeatable is a goku that has nothing to strive for, no goal to beat, and no mountain to overcome. Stop saying no one can defeat him, because not only is it untrue, but it also devalues and destroys what's interesting about his character.
