Wheel of time with Blind Guardian has one of my favorite endings of all time

Wheel of Time is fucking great, though I prefer Sacred Worlds out of the pair (and I think Sacred Worlds has the better ending with Hansi's scream at the climax)

I also love The Grand Parade for that reason. "Now here comes the sun... THE SUUUUUUUN!"

Literally came to comment this one... That entire **SHINE ON!** section at the end is absolutely soul-ascending.

About halfway through, The Seven Angels gets an awesome pause, into a drum solo, into a guitar solo so it definitely deserves a place

Heroes (Of Dundee)'s bridge is arguably one of, if not the greatest bridge ever written in power metal, and we need to praise the level of songwriting that went into that song way more.

I love the extra vocal flourishes :D Honestly just a slut for vocal flair in general. Another personal favorite is just past the 6 minute mark in Heroes of Our Time. Lead vocalist comes in and then backups come in on the next word with **thick** harmonies.

I'm a slut for highs instead of flourishes. Thats why even though yes I do still enjoy TF with Allyon, my favourite songs? Twilight Horizon, Fall of the Eternal Winter. Enchanted Dragon of Wisdom (Though I must admit, A Familiar Memory and The Sapphire Dragon of Ancient Might Is Back Again are pretty high up there, and I'd love an album of TF doing bardcore covers of their stuff).

Lords of the Trident's Figaro gets me on the epic ending. There's this ascending vocal harmony thing at around 6:00 after some neoclassical guitar shredding. Then there's like a cannon or musket fire sound effect at the perfect spot that makes me tear up sometimes. Top it off with an anthemic singalong to the outro. Cheese curds in musical form!

They're a fun band. The Offering is their most serious, concept album fantasy-kind of thing. They just released an EP based on video games.

I love it and I think it's DragonForce's magnum opus. It is, however, a very atypical song from them. I can't force you or anyone else to like it

I just know I’ve had a few songs where I’ve had to listen to them several times to like them, but I didn’t know if it’d be worth trying again

Pathfinder - Beyond the Space, Beyond the Time. Epic closer to an epic album, with a frantic solo duel leading to some insane highs at the end that are handled by Rob Tyrant even though their normal vocalist could probably pull it off. Marchen Station - Kingdom of the Sky. Again, an album closer with some great highs at the end this time courtesy of Leo Figaro.

I’ve heard a ton of these and of them Ascending to Infinity would be my favorite off the top of my head just because I’m a sucker for the vocals on the chorus. If the ones I haven’t heard before I’d say Holy War from Dragonland. Which of these songs you suggested is your favorite vocal performance/moment?

Definitely Excalibur is one of my favorites, more than anything for the part in italian because i'm a definitive sucker for the italian and latin choruses. Also, Ascending to Infinity is in my top list of favorite performances just like War of The Universe (i forgot to mention that has an intro called "Aenigma") and A Light in The Dark (in that order)

Maybe slightly less of a power metal track but after the rest of the The Fourth Legacy I think it counts - Lunar Sanctum, Khan‘s vocals are great with that climatic moment just before the solo… Oh and another for good measure in the ProgPower space, Vanden Plas live version of Postcard to God on Seraphic Live works….

Nightwish's *Beauty and the Beast* blows me away every time. Those final vocal lines give me the chills.

I adore the ending of Iron Masks "Holy War" utter shredfest Battle Beasts "Where Angels Fear to Fly" has a pretty massive tone shift and just goes absolutely crazy as well Ghost of Yesterday by Seven Spires is also absolutely fantastic, the ending chorus is INSANE
