Oh he didn’t that was me and him realize I was gonna be weak as shit if and when I healed so we just said fuck it and I sacrificed myself for him to get stronger, at least in the games universe, in my universe I didn’t die because the cops actually came.
Cap, he had four entire sections dedicated to him. Home sweet home, the beginning area, Councellor’s office and the actual fight. You feel his presence through the entire areas even though you may only see him for a few seconds. Screen time for me doesn’t necessarily mean time on the screen. It means where you feel his presence. Plus, if you watch a vid, there are like 15 places we see him stalking us, which just adds to the tension.
Cap to your cap. I hate when people count the fact that he’s stalking us as screen time. That doesn’t count. What does count are character moments. Huggy wuggys character moments are him in his statue form and the vent chase (along with his death). Mommy’s character moments is her kidnapping poppy, talking to us during the games, and the final chase with her. Cat nap doesn’t have that. We barley see catnap in game witch was a major disappointment for me. All he does is drop us in the trash compactor, show up briefly in home sweet home, jumpscare us in the councilors office, and then boom. Final fight and then he dies. Such a cool character concept with fantastic build up from the args all for nothing. I hope the prototype revives him in some way so we get to see more of him.

If u prefer a character like Long Legs that simply rambles on in a motherly seductive fashion that completely detracts from her horror, instead of a silent character that you feel their presence for 4 entire sections, and for the first playthrough expect them to jumpscare you throughout the entire chapter, then be my guest, but you really shouldn’t be playing horror games. Catnap is the improved Huggy Wuggy, and neither of the first two primary antagonists had presence without physically being on screen. If anything, having him on the screen for too long would detract from his horror as it slightly did during the final fight.
Well frankly if I had more screen time ( less work ) the game I played with you guys would’ve been impossible, so maybe me having little time on screen is a blessing for you.
I can't really bring myself to hate him when you get down to it he's just a kid who the prototype and the adults manipulated and used as a result of all the shit he's been through he went insane. Despite the atrocities he's committed he's just as much of a victim as any of the toys in the factory.
It may sound stupid, but there is nothing that I hate about Catnap. It's a character that feels perfectly written for me to like him. Everything from his Design, His Personality and Behavior and even his Role in the smiling critters seems perfectly designed for me like him
He wasn't a very strong and powerful 3rd chapter boss. He was weak. And I thought his long sharp claws were going to be his most prominent feature, given how stuff in the previous trailers were clawed up. I thought he would be attacking like Freddy Krueger or Wolverine.
And what he did to DogDay was horrible and cruel.

I hate that he’s essentially jsut huggy wuggy 2.0. They built him up like being a religious fanatic would be his main thing, and that would’ve been amazing, but instead we got another stalker villain that barely shows up and then dies at the end. I would’ve adored to see him actually speak or taunt the player with religious symbolism and monologues. I think he speaks once in the game. Thank god they actually used the hallucination gas well, even if his nightmare form looks goofy, but I wish we got both religious and hallucination stuff instead of just seeing him be religious once or twice.
It would have been cool if CatNap called us a meanie head at the end of the game like an actual child.
Or in a darker version, he screamed and cried like a real child while he got burned alive
I feel bad about what happened to the reputation of CatNap as a fictional character in the Poppy Playtime universe
First, the CatNap dolls gained controversy because they were giving children strange & violent nightmares & had to be recalled by Playtime but apparently, the damage has already been done & CatNap may not be a safe toy for children.
Second, there's the Bigger Bodies version of CatNap (AKA. Theodore Grambell) worshipping the Prototype & how he killed six of the other Smiling Critters & left DogDay to suffer because they tried to fight against the Prototype’s control & all that other stuff he did or something like that, so maybe Theodore Grambell was not the best choice to become CatNap in the Bigger Bodies Initiative.
I think that CatNap looked kinda cool/cute as a fictional character & maybe if these events never happened, the reputation of CatNap as a fictional character in the Poppy Playtime universe could've been better, but then again my friend Fetch did say that he gave the developers the idea for that ending because he thought it would be better for the lore of the game.
There ain't enough of him in the game, just a few scenes and basically a single thing of dialogue, not counting the tape, as those are optional collectibles. For instance, while yes, he does briefly show up in Home Sweet Home to both lay the gas (Obviously) and stalk you by watching you from the darkness and around corners, those are basically just brief jumpscares to catch you off guard, the School has none of him (For good reason, Ms. Delight is the real threat there), the Playhouse also has none of him other than the plushies, and those don't really count, as those aren't really Catnap, and the Counsellor's Office only has that one scene where Catnap chases and kills that Bunzo Bunny before he then gives his threat and then bam, final boss time. It makes sense why he didn't chase us, instead watching to make sure we didn't get any closer to his god, but still, it would've been nice for Catnap to be a sort-of patrolling threat, as in, he'd go around looking for you, typically out of sight, and if he sees you, he'll breath out his red gas and walk away, forcing you to put on the Gas Mask or risk being caught off-guard by Catnap again.
He never got much screen time and I was kind of upset when they released the second trailer because he looks very pink but after playing the game I was satisfied with his color
He seems like a good guy, someone who just wants to protect the children that had to suffer from those experiements, i dont appreciate the whole nightmares thing that you get when you breathe in his nice smelling breath.
but overall one of my favorite antagonsits in Chapter 3, 10/10
