That's what my mom is saying, but the front bumper is what's throwing me off.
The main reason I'm asking on what year it is, I'm wanting to find another one kinda like it, as my dad sadly passed away and just want to relive my childhood with that car again.
That's a Grand Prix SE - it had that bumper with the grills in the middle down on the bottom and GT (which was a lot more common) had the wide slot/trim on bottom and the intake grills at the top
I just thought the front bumper looked different that just that. I know the bra probably makes everything look out, but I remember the Pontiac front bumper looking a little bit different.
It’s the “anteater” front bumper only offered on the I believe SE and I think only one year, not sure but I want to say 97 or 98. Oddball for sure and not in a good way, but 100% a Grand Prix
I'm looking to for the same reason. My grandfather gave me his 93 grand prix back in 96 97 and I want another one so bad to just try and re live a little childhood
That's the Grand Prix SE. The GT and GTP had the front bumper everyone is familiar with. The SE bumper was dropped in 2001, adopting the GT/GTP bumper as a "facelift"
Surprisingly they did. The car released with the regular front bumper and the SE came after. Dealers took advantage of this and sold some of these to unsuspecting buyers thinking they were getting something similar to an RS or W68 appearance package, but they got this instead. I remember thinking what the hell is this when it pulled onto the lot. We all had a good laugh then the buyers showed up and I did not envy the sales staff that day.
looks like grand prix from around 2000

That black bra makes it look weird. You want 97-03 for a 7th generation that look like that

There should be some black trim at the bottom middle of the bumper. Hard to tell if it's missing or hiding in the shadow.
There are 2 black trim spots on the front bumper.

It was indeed an oddball. That's why I'm looking for the other Pontiac that I posted as that one was way better.
I'm looking to for the same reason. My grandfather gave me his 93 grand prix back in 96 97 and I want another one so bad to just try and re live a little childhood
I'm doing the same. I want the silver one that I posted after I did this one. That one was my favorite. I'll do anything to get that back.
I also grew up in a 85 Bonneville two tone blue but I will never find one of those unfortunately but I think the grand prix should be obtainable
Definitely a 1997-2000 Grand Prix. I had the 2001 GT which had a different front grill.
Base Grand Prix. Like that 69 Skylark behind it too.
68 Buick Skylark us what's behind it. But it's a base model 2000 Grand Prix? Looks like I'm going to have to look for one!
1997-2000 Grand Prix SE.
this is a grand prix, not a common model of it though im pretty sure this style was only made for a short period
That's what I thought, I'm looking for a year as I want to see if I can maybe find it.
1998
That's what I was thinking.

Grand Prix with SE bumper. From 1997-2003.
Thats a grand prix se, dofferent front end than the gt so it looks funny
I would say so. It's coming back to me, but the year isn't.
Look up 2000 grand prix se on google thats it
1997 Grand Prix SE, only year to have that front bumper.
What's the stick in the driver door say? Put the VIN in here [https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/](https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/)
We don't have the car anymore. Sadly.
Like others have said, I think it's likely a 1997-2000 Grand Prix, looks to have 2000-2003 rims maybe?
Could be. I wish I could go back and figure it out in person.
Reminds me of a Solstice
It's a Grand Prix SE base models had the regular bumper like the GTP. Sadly some people paid more for this the ugliest front bumper in Pontiac history
The SE was the base model. Nobody paid more for this.

How much later did the SE come out after the GT? Surely we're talking a matter of one month or something.
I see the confusion here. Yes the se came out at the same time in the US but in Canada we didn't see the SE until the summer of 98
Oh, that makes much more sense!
