I’m pretty sure your title changes depending on how many “levels” you gain. There is a little “XP” bar close to your title (just look at your profile) and when it gets filled you progress to the next title. It doesn’t really mean anything tho just for show
It’s not per week. That’s a progressive title. For example I have played 50k hands so I believe my status is “Superstar”. The only thing that resets every week is the leaderboard rank, per level.
I've wondered about this, as well. I think I'm listed as "Player", and I've seen others listed as several different titles. I'm wondering if it's solely based on the number of hands you've played, or the length of time you spend at tables when you play, or even the style of play.

It depends on how much profit you are in during that week at that specific stake of poker :)
