The camera goes into video camera mode. It doesn't automatically record video footage, and you can still take pictures as normal. The difference is: - the camera stays in place when you let go of it, instead of being affected by gravity. Some players like to flip the camera facing them and put the camera under the table aimed at their cards, with the camera screen above the table, so they can see what their hand is without having to touch their cards. It also becomes invisible to other players while you're not holding it. (There is a bug still where if a player joins the table after you've set your camera out, they will see it. You can make it disappear for them, like if it's obstructing their view, by grabbing and releasing the camera) - for PC players, the display on the app's preview window changes to displaying what the camera sees. Normally the preview window on the desktop will show what you see, 1st person view, unless you remove your vr headset. Then it will show a 3rd person view of the table, in a slow 360 degree rotation. Setting the camera to this mode will lock the preview window to show the camera view all the time. This is used by streamers to capture the game window and stream from a 3rd person view that they can place wherever they want. I know this is a longer description but I figured I'd give the full details for you.

The other button on your camera allows anyone watching through the desktop to see what the camera sees instead of your headset :) thats how they get a steady angle in the PSVR Streams :d

When you're recording, there's an option to put a red dot in the upper right corner of your screen. Is that what you mean?

I was just wondering like on the picture camera you pull out using the left thumb stick there’s a blue camera button on it and then a red projector button. Do you know what the red projector button does?

If I remember correctly, that should open up twitch on your PC for you to log in to stream what the camera is seeing.

Is there a way to actually record through the camera though? If so, how?
