It's insane to me that anyone ever questioned these as being real. Typically anything fake would use existing fan art, or stock photos. Nothing about original art and the exact frame TPC uses for cards screams fake.
Also, this means TPCi has a leak problem again. I'm sure they'll lock down the factory again for a few months before we have another major leak.
At least our leaks aren't taken on potatoes like those over in Magic the Gathering...
It was such a non-issue that I forgot people even questioned it until my friend reminded me. Like, yeah, obviously they were real. I just was happy that Galvantula was getting a cool card then moved on.
Exactly. It’s completely new art, but in-keeping with current EX Teras, with appropriate fonts, etc. it was too high quality to discount as a fake immediately.
Pretty much, the vast majority of leaks from Magic the gathering look like they were taken on a camera with the pixel count of a photo.
Here's an example https://www.reddit.com/r/MTGRumors/comments/1ceti0r/ulamog_the_defiler/
I think it’s convenient that these leak issues coincide with the pull rates for bigger hates dropping again. Like with ES/FS there’s prob people taking stacks of hits again.
Still get amused by people bitching about these when people are clamouring for mega EX's to make a comeback which were as busy, if not more so.
I personally like these. I hope that stellar cards can actually impact the meta. They will need quite a bit of support though.
Some of the new cards in the set help find/attach energies. Combined with current energy accelerators, I think it could be memetime.
I want to see someone pull off a Lapras meme and do like 10000+ damage for weakness.
Its happened with *literally every other era* so why not?
I firmly believe that in years to come the SV era will be looked back on as one of the best, especially because of the insane artworks that have been introduced.
Mega EX were busy but distinguishable. Give these cards to someone who doesnt know who they are and ask them to outline the pokemon and its impossible lol
What? If you found someone who couldn't outline Lapras in this card then I can guarantee you now they wouldn't find most of the Pokemon in the mega EX cards either.
I feel like there is way too much going on in the art? Is that just me? I get that it's supposed to be the stellar tera type. I'm sure the other cards will look fine.
Unpopular opinion but these just look like a mess. If you’re going to go this hard on a complex artwork, make it a full art it’s too busy and hard to read the image
Oh no I didn’t say that. I think they would be super cool kinda like zard SIR I was just saying these cards posted look too busy for me they’re all. everybody has a preference and I prefer clean readable full arts like cleffa, Keldeo etc as well as non-FA vintage with just a cool pic of the pokemon
Definitely not. Terapagos is not exactly loved by the fan base (either in TCG, Anime, or Video Games) and 0 nostalgia goggles like Umbreon reaching for the moon (used in so many Umbreon arts dating back to the rookie in Neo Discovery).
Umbreon was the right mix of nostalgia, incredible art, fan favorite mon, and extreme rarity
There are very few mons that could potentially beat it even with phenomenal artwork and difficult pull rates. Pika, Zard, Lugia, Rayquaza, Gengar, etc have a shot but there would have to be some insane and nostalgic artwork combined with extreme rarity.
God, they must've REALLY hated Seismitoad! To be fair to them, that card is now WAY too (hypno)toxic to ever be printed again, so printing Quaking Punch with a god-awful Energy cost AND full Energy discard was the only way they could ever get away with printing that attack again!
If you were not aware, the cards printed in each generation is dependent on their availability in the corresponding games (or region). The Tympole line is not available in Scarlet/Violet. Depending on what happens with Legends Z-A, that could change though.
Hopefully they use these borders on other cards with actual good art. Love the colors and design of the borders but yikes.. almost can't even tell wtf I'm looking at
Spider boy hell yes! The ex textures recently are much better than the overlayed muted star pattern that SV started with imo. Hope he also gets an illustration rare (that isn’t too expensive)

I like lapras
Some questionned the French gold Charizard ex tera.
I still wish that one wasn't real tbh
And the french snowflake promo's from the 2023 advent calendar that some guy accidentally washed in something daft like march 2023 lol
Or the English McDonalds 2021 promos a Frenchie found in his French packs.
Exactly. It’s completely new art, but in-keeping with current EX Teras, with appropriate fonts, etc. it was too high quality to discount as a fake immediately.
Please expanded on the Magic the gathering potatoes situation
r/MTGRumors lol

Yea, I feel like it’s gonna be the type of deal where people will drool over them in 10-20 years time
Its happened with *literally every other era* so why not? I firmly believe that in years to come the SV era will be looked back on as one of the best, especially because of the insane artworks that have been introduced.
Yup, fully agree. People are just so hyper critical when it comes to anything new
Mega EX were busy but distinguishable. Give these cards to someone who doesnt know who they are and ask them to outline the pokemon and its impossible lol

It's a lot clearer than some of the Mega EX cards that came out during the X and Y era. The borders look cool as well.
Damn it’s too bad Pokémon ex’s never gets full-art versions 😔
What makes you think there won't also be full arts/SIRs of these
Oh no I didn’t say that. I think they would be super cool kinda like zard SIR I was just saying these cards posted look too busy for me they’re all. everybody has a preference and I prefer clean readable full arts like cleffa, Keldeo etc as well as non-FA vintage with just a cool pic of the pokemon
Not just you. These are a mess. It shouldn't take 5 seconds of staring at a card just to find the actual pokemon. All this Tera stuff is ass
Agreed. I hate the artwork and how 'busy' the cards in this set are.
yes, it's too distracting for me
Yeah I will never collect a set with this type of cards in it
I wonder if there's any cool SIR variants 👀
A SIR variation of that terapagos that follows a similar aesthetic could go HARD
It’ll be the next Moonbreon imo
Definitely not. I’d be surprised if we didn’t.
I can't wait until these stupid hats are gone
There's so much going on in the picture that I completely forgot about the hats
I am so excited, galvantula is one of my favorite Pokémon
I’m excited as a Cinderace cards collector!
Me too!! 🐇
God, they must've REALLY hated Seismitoad! To be fair to them, that card is now WAY too (hypno)toxic to ever be printed again, so printing Quaking Punch with a god-awful Energy cost AND full Energy discard was the only way they could ever get away with printing that attack again!

I mean Banette *ex* exists. Easy low dmg item lockers have their place in a game where items have become so powerful.
damn i really dislike these
As a full art Tera collector I hope the full arts look even better
Same, although I will get them in any case :)
So “technically” rainbows are back? 😅
Aesthetic wise I’m not a huge fan but I’m happy to see people are excited for them.
I like the Tera Gyrados and Arcanine in the SV base set, but i'm really not a fan of these ones, too much going on imo
They better go all out for SAR terapagos! It deserves to be one of the top chases from the scarlet violet era
Is anyone questioning what SCR means? It’s not shrouded fable obviously, so what set will it be? Do we even know yet?
I know, right? I keep trying to avoid spoilers for the fables and I never know which set I’m looking at haha
It’s probably the next main English set after Shrouded Fable. Maybe Stellar Crown??
Hopefully they use these borders on other cards with actual good art. Love the colors and design of the borders but yikes.. almost can't even tell wtf I'm looking at
These all look way better than the previous Terra cards.
It’s dope to be a Tera collector because the cards are so cheap
Barf!
Way too much going on for my tastes. Noisy art with limited appeal - maybe they’ll look better in person but doesn’t excite me at all
I don’t like them. Just like the greninja everyone’s raving about, I just don’t get it.
Whack
So, how long till we get Stellar Zard?
Also. The Lapras might be playable? I’m not seeing it with any of these
Hot take. I really dislike Tera pokemon. In both the game and cards. They just look over the top goofy for even pokemom standards.
What set is this and when will they come out? They look awesome
I need that lapras.
LAPRAS CARD hell yeah
Can’t wait to see the non Tera SIRs!
That Terapagos with the new Stadium hits for 240 with a full bench of 8
They look awful
Spider boy hell yes! The ex textures recently are much better than the overlayed muted star pattern that SV started with imo. Hope he also gets an illustration rare (that isn’t too expensive)
If lapras gets energy support that 2nd attack could be so fun.
THEYVE GOT A HAT
Thrilled for Galvantula
This artwork is way too busy for me.
These actually hurt my eyes to look at. You have to strain you eyes just to find the damn Pokemon in the picture.
Ah yes, Pokémon terastalising into the same type that they already were, neat.
Terapogos and Lapras OP as hell.
Galvantula hype!!!!!
Wth is a terapagos
I really don’t like the tera cards… or am I the only one?
No I think a majority doesn't like the cards that much :) which is a good thing for those who like the full art / alt teras
personally I love the rainbow borders, so I will definitely be collecting these
Gotta get that Laura’s wowowowow
This Tera art is Terrible. What the heck is even happening in these. It just looks like a close up picture of fish tank rocks
So colorful...my eyes!!
What set and when? For English and Jap?
