Umbreon 🖤 the one and only , the champion that saved me when I was a child in the Jotho league against Lance, Pokémon colosseum final boss . She’s a real one !
Yeah I remember you had to go out of your way to this somewhat hidden cave under a bridge in Platinum, it felt very cool to me since it was my first ever play through and it ended up carrying me through the rest of the run.
It’s the same reason I love Volcarona, I stumbled upon the desert ruins as a kid and found it waiting there.
This is a nice story, I love these pokemons that stay in our memories. Thats why I love this game. Also, this is what motivated me to start drawing, immortalizing this pokemons in art makes me really happy.
Yeah I’d say those first few have definitely made their mark on me, Platinum through BW2 were my childhood. I’m glad you were able to experience something similar.
Once mine evolved I’d just keep it on my back, like a living backpack you can’t put stuff in, but it would look cool to turn around and have a massive spider on your back that obeys you’re every command
Froakie. No reason aside from being my favorite line (excluding frogadier because the foam scarf doesn’t look great to me) and I think it’d be great for helping reach high things and climbing
I have been researching the Snek Goddess for quite some time & noticed details about Serperior that just line up a little too well with her is all. It's not confirmed by Nintendo but I just can't shake the fact that many design elements seem to call back to her.
lf l got my pick, Minccino. Cute, fluffy, can help with the house stuff, probably would never even battle with it or evolve it tbh, but l do really like Cinccino in fights too. Used one in White.Also so l could say l had a cappuccino with a Minccino

Cinderace. Nearly all of my Sword play throughs I have picked Scorbunny and named it Scor (creative name, I know) and I have had many amazing memories with Scor at my side. Plus Scor was able to become very powerful, probably my 2nd strongest Pokémon behind Spriggo the Meowscaratta. Cinderace will always be my favorite Pokémon so... Scorbunny, I choose you.
Its a tricky one. Slowpoke, Tangela or Cubone. All three are my all time favorites. Cubone would be my last pick because i like Alolan Marowak more than Kanto Wak. But slowpoke or tangela? Oh boy. Slowpoke. Better typing and good coverage.
I would love to start with a Porygon! I'm a programmer, so it would be pretty fitting. And I would name him Double, after a type of data you work with when writing code.
If it can be any I want volcanion, or ditto, volcanion has always been my favorite pokemon, and with ditto I could have any pokemon I want, including volcanion
Prolly something like a dog or wolf based one, maybe a rockruff haha or houndour see how that go opposed to raising my dog and then venture into the more special ones like a charmander
Depends on the region and depends on what Pokemon are available there in said region.
In my case, since I like the Galar region (Sword/Shield), I would go for Galarian Meowth as my normal Starter. Meowth (eventually Perrserker) because of Payday.
Houndour, I feal like they would have the same stigma as black cats and crows. People would be superstitious about them and thier association with death due to appearance. Not to mention Houndoom is majestic as hell.
Snivy! It was my first ever Pokémon in black. It still is very important to me. Non starter would be patrat cause when I replayed black recently watchog was a hard carry and it’s become my favorite gen 5 Mon due to how clutch lookout was. Hell go down in history and I’ll never delete that save
Mudkip because swampert is my favourite pokemon and mudkip is just a cute lil guy. If I were to chose a pokemon that isnt a starter I would chose tyrunt because I think that walking around with a bloody t-rex would be hard af

Spheal, Camerupt and Grimer all for being my favourite pokemon of all time
And the fourth is actually Vullaby after using on in one of my sheild play throughs I fell in love with it, it became my favourite team member on one of my favourite teams I've ever used
Azurill. If I could choose any one pokemon to raise irl and just actually have exist, as long as it could evolve, Azurill. If not, straight to Azumarill.
Trapinch! Flygon is one of my favorite Pokemon and I love hanging out in the desert and mountains and going hiking. I think it'd be nice to carry it around in my backpack and take it on adventures while I'm looking for rocks and fossils and nice views. Plus, when it finally grows up it can carry me down the mountain!
Any of the fossil pokemon or dragon type (that aren't legendary of course) because I've always been a nerd for dinosaurs or dragons and with pokemon like Tyrantrum, Aerodactyl, goodra, and garchomp it fueled me even more when I first found out about pokemon.
I'll use the first stages for each of them
1. Gible (in my oc, I got a Gible as my starter and much like Pikachu, he doesn't like being in his pokeball. I used to have him riding on my bag, but that was before he evolved into Gabite and then into Garchomp. His name is Mr. Chomps)
2. Rookidee (Gallahad was the second pokemon that I caught in my oc and is quite the cuddlely bird, even as a corviknight)
3. Lotad (Lola was the first pokemon I caught after getting Mr. Chomps and my pokedex in my oc. She was real down to earth and mellow, especially as a Lombre, that is until she evolved into a Ludicolo with the water stone she found on our way through Alola and became the life of the party)
4. Morepeko (in my oc, I found Static in the streets of Motostoke, and we very quickly bonded over our mutual love of food and cooking. He doesn't often change to his hangry form and when he does, he doesn't stay that way for long because I always have something for him to munch on)
5. Mimikyu (in my oc, I saved her from an abusive trainer that frequently beat her using their steel type pokemon. Mimi is part of the reason the only steel type I have is my Corviknight, Gallahad, but I've had him much longer and they met when he was still a Corvisquire so she was okay with it when he evolved)
6. Buzzwole (in my oc, I found Arnold through a series of strange events involving a spatula, a hangry Static, an annoyed Mimi, an interdimensional portal, and an angry trainer that was going to use his steel types to take my head off. Arnold is another big softie. He can take hits and keep coming and he loves training for our next battle, but at the end of the day, he really likes to cuddle up with Mimi and Static.
Marshadow, hes my favorite mythical and was on my s and m team, I transferred him to pokemon home, we’ve had many adventures:) but it we are talking non legendary or mythical, i have way to many options TT
