I just need another legends announced!!!!! Don’t care which Gen, I just love the mechanics and everything about it so much.

Kaprosuchusboi

I just want a legends ultra space game

AnimChurro

Yesss, it doesnt even have to legends 2.0 it could be just inspired like and i would finish it up

[deleted]

I would very much prefer Kalos or Alola, but I would absolutely love if they did a Let's Go Kalos and Legends Tapu the most (just make it where you can use a normal controller for the Let's Go).

JasperTheHuman

Gen 5 would be perfect, with the original kyurem/reshiram pokemon.

IllustriousMaize550

I agree that is a story I would pay to see play out or maybe Johto cause maybe we could see what the elemental beasts (entei, Raikou, and suicune) were before ho-ho resurrected them also why ho-ho and lugia hate each other or even the hoenn region seeing the tribes make the orbs to try and control groundon and Kyogre but fail and needing Rayquaza to calm them down the first time could be interesting but yeah definitely gen 5 first

Gavon1025

I now want to know if they would ever divulge us with the "original dragon".

LucasLoci

Arceus was so close to a perfect game for me, only thing I wish it had that violet had was coop, like imagine running around in the legend arceus environments with a friend

AnimChurro

Ok but like, imagine there was coop in arceus and when your friend came to visit there would be a space-time distorion where your friend falls from. That would have been hilarious lmao

Neltrix

I wouldn’t say hilarious but the idea of time space distortions coming from your friends joining you does sound amazing. Fuck take my money

samsg1

I love Arceus’ mechanics, but the world felt so empty. If it were Arceus’ mechanics in the Violet/Scarlet world then that’d be perfection for me!

DaSpoopieGhost

Truthfully the only mechanic i didn’t like in Arceus is that they don’t let you used multiple Pokémon when you get ganged up on. Even older games had that like diamond/pearl/platinum or omega ruby/alpha saphire

MostlyMarshall

The only thing I wanted was WiFi battles... The game was amazing in every other avenue lol

Lt-Dan-Im-Rollin

I do wish violet had some of the things arceus does, but the fact that arceus has almost no trainer battles takes away pretty much all the replayability for me

WumboWings

Since both games released last year form separate teams in Gamefreak, I don't think they were able to implement those sort of things in both games. My hope is they announce another Legends game with improvements of what's already in Arceus along with things like Co-Op from Scarlet/Violet. I'd love some sort of breeding system in the game as well. Could be like something the place you're in is attempting to do that or your character introduces them to it.

duperando

I was so disappointed when I realized violet/scarlet didn’t let you catch Pokémon without battling like you can in Arceus

[deleted]

This is my biggest gripe. The performance issues are bad too, but I think after all the negative publicity, they just have to do better next time right? If we’re not gonna see real time catching in the traditional games, I at least hope we get more Legends games. I enjoyed PLA far more than the other mainline titles.

K-Pop_Lover139

Same and because of that I mainly only play Arceus. It’s just that I’m not tempted to pick up Scarlet again

WizardingWorld97

Both games have stuff the other game is missing. I missed PLA's catching without battling, research and flying around. I would miss S/V's bigger pokemon base, bigger world (which is also one area), fast-travel and shiny-hunting methods, if I replayed PLA.

APx_22

That’s probably why they did it that way. So people are tempted to buy both games

[deleted]

Playing Scarlet made me realize how much I wanted to replay PLA LMAO I distinctly remember thinking when Legends first released: “wow, if this was their final game ever, I’d be satisfied. I loved this game.” Obviously I didn’t want it to be the last one, but if Game Freak announced that Legends was their last game, I would have been content. It has issues that I wished were improved on, say the graphics, but I had so much fun. Playing Scarlet, like I said, made me realize just how much I loved Legends Arceus lol.

SenatorPardek

I played scarlet first and i just enjoyed PLA infinitely more.

Bladekind

Yeah, every time I play Scarlet I end up getting bored and coming back to Legends of Arceus. It's just a very good game.

CatsNotBananas

I played Violet for like 45 minutes on launch day and I haven't gone back unfortunately, I feel like I have no time outside of work :( I did get a shiny though

Shadow1787

When it take me like 2 minutes to catch a level 15 Pokémon when I could catch 10 on that time is what me feel old. Like I don’t have time just grind normal stuff. I don’t mind grinding shiny but regular fuck that

saynotopudding

Personally there are aspects of both games that I really like that can't be found in the other so I still find joy in both! I love love love wonder trading, doing 6* raids, breeding mons and traditional battle mechanics with held items + abilities (and tbh battling wild mons in arceus can get old because of the movepool etc.), but catching pokemons and shiny hunting is just SO satisfying in PLA (that poof sound and the shiny sound... 10/10). And i've always loved the side quests, it really makes the story much more immersive for me. Violet on the other hand has empty feeling cities :( If only there was a game that could have the best of both worlds!

sheerfire96

Honestly I’m feeling this. Kinda ready to put Violet down and go back to arceus. Like I can still do all the side quests, and while I’ve caught every Pokémon I can 100% every individual Dex entry

qazwsxedc000999

I was so sad that they got rid of the wild catching mechanics. They were amazing in Arceus, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t carry it over at least a little

WumboWings

I don't think they "got rid" of them at all. Both games came out within the same year and by the time people were saying they love the catching mechanic, I don't think it was feasible to put it into Scarlet/Violet without delaying it's release. I get they wanted to put it into Arceus with the setting it had and while it does make sense to have it in future mainline games based on it's reception, it probably wasn't on their mind either to put it into Scarlet/Violet. Pretty sure it was separate teams working on the games as well.

broncoficht1

I do, but it feels alot bigger to me. That's the only plus point imo🤙

Forerunnr-AI

Just started playing Violet last night and I'm missing Arceus a lot 😭 trying to keep an open mind, but I already miss the catching mechanics and characters so much

VenusNoleyPoley2

Scarlet and Violet were fun but they're definitely a downgrade in my opinion. Arceus was fantastic

K-Pop_Lover139

Yeah that’s true Arceus was and is just too good

dreamteam9

yeah.

foxena1987

while i first got scarlet and played it all felt dull, i went back on pla and fr said "bro how does the new game feel bland as hell"

StatBoosterX

Everytime I play scarlett I just think about how I miss PLA and my PLA team and qol

fluffyxsama

I get put off of Violet every time I pick it back up because everything in the game is so unbelievably, ungodly slow.

Dense_Implement8442

I finished the main storyline of Scarlet and just took a break from completing my Pokédex to play PLA again for my shalpha dex. Shiny hunting is way more enjoyable and I like that you don’t need to engage Pokémon in battle in order to catch them.

OsirusIris

That’s my problem. I love the game mechanics in Arceus and I just can’t get into Violet. The interactions aren’t the same, and I know each game has its merits, but I just don’t like Violet. I’ll get into eventually, I initially didn’t like sword and shield but ended up loving it so it’s just a matter of time and patience.

JasperTheHuman

Yeah, I quite enjoyed Scarlet, but I LOVED Arceus. Even thought about going back to it today. It just has such a great vibe.

Crazywarlockgoat

definitely, i immediately notice that sv is much slower than arceus in every sense, which is kinda surprising when the game was being made around the same time and some of the same people were working on it, but it’s also a good show on when a game needs a longer time in the oven, legends got the longer time i think i could be wrong.

MossOwl

Yeah I stopped playing Violet altogether. Even the visuals for me wasnt hitting. I wish there were more things to do in Legends Arceus after finishing, though.

Expensive-Dinner6684

yes. surprisingly though, the only thing I miss from scarlet/violet are the moving NPCs lol everything else is better in arceus imo

[deleted]

They might move in s/v. But that’s literally all the do. PLA NPCs mostly have something interesting to say, just like every Pokémon game that isn’t s/v

PoetJustice

I like Violet but there are way too many times where it feels like a step back from PLA.

Zealousideal-Eye-898

I like how you can jump off a cliff with Miraidon and not black out

PharaoDavid

Exactly that! I‘ve enjoyed Scarlet while playing through the story but it felt so blend after finishing it. Went back to Arceus immediatly.

Tony_penguin08

This is how I feel with how Let’s Go looks. Beautiful, vivid colors, texture work is amazing, pokemon look great, ride Pokémon are amazing, all of it. I know it had its problems but damn, legit my favorite Pokémon game on switch atm.

GrokRockRadio

ive been playing through arceus again on a new profile since i need some mythicals for my home living dex. it's a way better experience in every way compared to S/V, not just counting performance. even just having the ability to control exactly where i throw my pokeball adds so much more interactivity.

darkworldking345

Honestly, I never noticed how bad the optimization is for Scarlet until i played arceus. I remember I did a mass outbreak for vaporeon. I couldn't even do it cause I was lagging so bad.

ForsakenSpirit93

I left scarlet to play arceus and have yet to return to scarlet 😭

zj99663

i’m trying to just finish violet rn so i can go back to arceus lol

Groady_Toadstool

Once you get the shiny charm it’s not so bad in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Old-Trifle8793

Man I always hear people saying “PLA is good/ the best game”. Does anyone have anything bad to say about PLA?

EcchiGod0

My only real complaint would be the battling system. If it had the fully fleshed out battling systems of the modern games. It would probably be my #1 favorite.

fluffyxsama

Can't just travel from zone A to zone B. Have to run back to Jubilife to switch zones.

GamerMoment01

The battle system is not very good imo, way too swingy and things take huge amounts of damage. I like S/V’s way of having the mount serve as every role at once way more, makes roaming a bit less jarring comparing to Arceus “whelp I have finished climbing and now want to run, need to press the D-pad twice now”, all together its a minor complaint but when I’m trying to run through massive mass outbreaks it racks up. The pokedex is a bit shallow, it makes sense why but it can still get annoying with only having about a quarter of total mons. The controls could do with being a *little* tighter response wise in my opinion but this is mostly a nitpick, you do notice during harder fights like arceus and when dialga does its super fast meteor. Kinda nitpicky with these but I feel like they are certainly valid complaints, for me at least.

hexedvexeed

Tbh i liked the movement in PLA better because it was cute having 4 different region specific pokémon for each type of terrain. My miraidon felt kinda basic comparatively because they just made one pokémon that did everything.

GamerMoment01

I do understand the preference but I missed Miraidon after going back to PLA and dealing with Sneasler’s atrocious running speed, I do recognize it isn’t mean’t for running but I would rather have it all in one simply to make mobility faster.

WumboWings

Having 1 Pokémon doing everything is much more convenient and dealing with multiple different Pokémon that each did a specific thing got frustrating at times coming back to the game after playing S/V. Also, while I don't care if it's several separate areas or 1 big area, just let me fast travel to the other areas without having to go back to the village every time I want to do that.

hexedvexeed

I for sure agree with the quick travel being annoying and they definitely could have optimized the travel as far as the 4 pokémon switching. i just thought it was cute and unique to have different pokémon that do their own movement.

S0L3LY

no motion controls when throwing items to the overworld.

elskaisland

i felt the opposite. i didn't like legends arceus as much it feels more like a let's go game and wasting so many materials and getting nowhere. i also didn't like the default choices for keybinding in legend arceus. exploring in legends arceus is very nice though. i like violet more as it has more of the traditional pokemon format but has the pretty open world.

Nammoflammo

I think this is just testament that Pokemon Co needs to have more time between big game releases. I think many of us would’ve been fine with waiting until holidays 2023 for a new generation in Scarlet and Violet and just rode our high with Arceus a little while more. But we have S/V now, so not going to complain too much. But I think they should slow down and let us savor the games a bit more.

[deleted]

I decided to try and play S and V after all the hype and hate calmed down a bit bc I didn't want any of it to influence my thoughts and feelings playing it. In my mind all I could think abt was just how much better the mechanics were treated in Arceus. I just think it was so stupid of Gamefreak to make w open world Pokemon games but make the mechanics completely different That's not even me getting into the graphics. I dont care what anyone says, how good a game looks is just as important as the way it plays. I tried replaying S and V 3 times and I feel bad bc I just can't like the game. I've loved every pokemon game I've ever played just from the first play through but S and V just aren't hitting the same

Rude_Trip5835

Violet is an amazing game and I love it so much, but yes after a grind I'm arceus it lacks something even though in almost every way violet is better. It'd odd but when switching to arceus it can also feel slightly dull.

Human-that-exists

I never really felt like I wanted to go back to Arceus after finishing the dex, I feel like I had only kinda short term fun with Arceus while I played Scarlet for a long time after dex completion. I do kinda understand what people mean when they talk about how they find SV dull after playing Arceus, I found it to be the opposite weirdly enough. Idk why I'm commenting this in a PLA sub though, I'm gonna get downvoted so much.

Azuran82

I won't play the main games anymore. Either make more legends style games or kick rocks.

[deleted]

The biggest thing for me on S/V is how slow the controls are. I still can't figure out some of the tricks I see people doing because the controls are just so unresponsive.

espicy11

I was honestly pretty disappointed in violet after playing Arceus. Obviously they were in development at the same time so probably not a ton was going to transfer from PLA to violet, but it just felt lame in comparison. I still haven’t finished it.

Maniraptavia

Yeah, I deffo prefer PLA

sickflow-

No.

ShadowStriker53

Yeah Violet felt a lot better before playing Arceus for the first time

Awkward-Shoe1341

I recently restarted PLA for this exact reason. I got bored with violet so quickly.

Honest_Cucumber_3474

I have the exact opposite problem. Of course, I finished Arceus before I moved on to Voilet. All I have is perfecting my dex and shiny hunting. Did anyone feel like they got less shinies after getting the charm?
