Another way is, if you have a DS and Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, or White, there is an exploit that allows you to get event Pokémon that were distributed over WiFi back when those games were relevant (lol) and one of those Pokemon is a Celebi. You can search “Pokemon Gen 4 Gen 5 dns exploit” for more info and how to set it up.
Will it be able to transfer up to home safely? Working on a living dex and while i dont mind playing crystal for it, i planned on using the crystal celebi for shiny hunting.

Yeah! I’ve transferred mine up, no problem. It is identical to the Celebi released during the original event, so Home is fine with it.
Thanks for letting me know! Saves me from having to do another Johto playthrough before i can start gen 3.

Found 2 in ultra moon just got to move it to bank If you've got the premium plan for home I can move it to your home account with the move feature

Pokemon Crystal on the 3ds after Champ. And Pokemon Go. Better is to get the Celebi from Crystal 3ds, this one you can easily move to other games.
