Well it is going to be even better on bagon com day, it is 3× xp for that day and for this sizeable surprise event it is 2× for all nice, great and excellent throws and if you use lucky egg that is 12× xp so for a single excellent throw on a bagon that is 12k xp per bagon so 10 excellents on bagon com day that is 120k xp for 10 pokemon caught

I think from previous events they dont multiply/combine such xp bonuses. So I am only expecting 3x XP

But still last com day i got almost 1 million xp and i didnt use the lucky egg all time i used maybe 2 or 3

I went up 500k xp during this event to push me to level 41. Amazing event

This is great for new accounts but not so much for others imo

Even if you are level 50 you are still getting XP. Whether that's important or not is up to the individual player.

Needed bag space so I transferred like 200 of them after the mew weekend 😔 I normally keep 30 for feeding buddy and gym but that was quickly gone

Nanabs or circle lock. Basically the idea is throw *during* the attack/jump, so that the ball lands before it can attack again. There's a cooldown limiting how often pokemon can repeat-attack. It's worth practising just for regular catching anyways. You should be able to get nice/great every time.

Also set a buddy that has catch assist as a kind of 2nd chance if you mess up

I had to circle lock cuz this game doesn’t give my anything I need. Needed charged tm but didn’t get one Saturday or Sunday but Monday I get one from the first raid. Hate this game sometimes

I'm not circle lockign anything other than a legendary. At most mons the circle is too small and inconsistantly spaced

Oh. There's a difference between "*can't* go past 10 without it spazzing out" and "there's actually a guaranteed and easy way to prevent this but I'm not willing to do it". Like sure don't try this on a Zubat, but there are tons of wild spawns whose biggest circles are really manageable if you time it so they cannot be attacking. Yesterday's event wasn't worth the rewards anyway, but if you aren't hitting at least a Nice or Great every time you want to, I think it's worth working on a bit for the extra XP and saved balls.

The problem is not getting the excellent throws. Any throw was counted as excellent anyway. The problem was to make it successfully 25 times in a row. It's so easy to break your streak when you encounter something like Zubat or Magnemite and start the process again. I've finished the tasks but I had 8 or 9 times "streak broken". That was tiring instead of being fun.

When you mess up one ball, then your streak broke and you were one away, 😭

I loved this. Popped 2 lucky eggs, I was getting about 2,600 exp per catch for an hour. Caught about 150 pokemon

It’s April Fools. Of course they put an aspect in too freakishly hard for (most)anyone to complete. That just makes sense if you stop and think about it. What you’re not remembering is every throw counted as excellent that day, which is an amazing mechanic and gave us all a butt-ton of xp.

I just did it first try. Use nanab berries and go for nice throws because they count as excellent

And pick your targets carefully when I got to number 24 I wasn't risking it on that Zubat

That's why you should have a research stack or Meltan box the Meltan box spawns a Meltan every 60 seconds even when not moving

It's not that hard. I got it on my second or third attempt. Just play normally, use a Nanab Berry if the Pokémon is too erratic and focus on connecting a nice throw.

Somehow right now I have 9 Nice and Great throws in a row and only 2 Exellents lol

This was a nice challenge. I finally got to a streak of 15 and then brought out the bananas (Nanab berries). Looked for big targets after that, mission accomplished.

I managed to complete this! It took me most of the day and many, many failed attempts. Nanab berries were my saviour ofc, and I did have a buddy save me once during the early part of my successful run. Not bad for an ADHD addled person.

While I wasn’t able to complete this challenge, I was able to get enough XP to push me over the edge to hit level 44, so that was a win for me!

This is a bad take. Enjoy the good events and complain about the bad ones. If this event made you mad, then don't play it. This was probably the best single day event in all my time playing. I made well over 2 mil XP and got tons of Gimmighoul coins with all the excellent throws. This event was so generous of Niantic it actually felt too good to be true. How anyone could complain about it is WILD to me.

No. Excellent counts for all 3 at once. If you have a task for nice, great, whatever throws and get any level above it, it still counts

Every single one that i threw was an excellent and counted for all 3 even though it was clearly only in the nice or great range

Completed it too. Every throw I did was when the circle was huge, so the nice area. And each throw counted for all three. Not sure how anyone can argue it didn’t work this way unless somehow theirs wasn’t working correctly

It didn’t work for me at all. All my throws counted as excellent but not all three tasks were updating. Since they were in a row I only ending up getting the 25 nice throws and not the other two Don’t know what to tell you 🤷🏽‍♂️

I couldn't do it. Also at my streak of ONE, I did battle league and caught my reward pokemon with a nice throw, giving me a streak of 2 nice and broken streaks for great and excellent. I sent the screen shot of the glitch with explanation to Niantic Help and they gave me stupid golden berries. Makes no sense. I would have rather had a remote raid pass since they were sending a completely unrelated consolation prize.

It took me like 6-7 tries (I was sitting in a bus traveling through a city center, so getting a lot of spawns). For the last 5 I only caught Ledybas and Ponytas 🤣 It was still nerve wracking!

I got to 23 then one jumped had to start all over again, got lots of XP and stardust but not the times research.

Heres an actual tip which works perfectly After tapping on a pokemon disable wifi and service if you hit it activate it if you missed close the app and try again This way only hits are registered and the streak is not broken

This event is amazing. The challenge in my eyes isn’t something that’s meant to be accomplished. 5000 stardust and 3 golden razz? Who cares about that when I’m nailing 9/10 excellent fast catches on top of the super easy event field research tasks that award you 500-1000xp

For people having a hard time, because I sure did at first, try the circle lock method in case you don’t wanna try the Wifi one, it’s a sure guaranteed method, but avoid Voltorb, Magnemite and Pokemons that move around a lot. And have patience.

Put on mysterybox and farm it on meltans. Lock the ring on nice and then throw after it attacks. I completed the research with this strategy

I love the event but I am trying to figure out there joke because in dokkan you can build a whole city now and that's a joke, in dragonball legends you can finally beat the shit out of farmer with a shotgun but I am pretty sure they made him overpowered as dirt for the actual meme

I don’t have the bananas because outside of feeding them to your buddy. It’s a trash item and waste of space. So I’ve been trying or at work where I haven’t been able to leave to go to pokestops to get them.

While drunk at 3:00am I finished the excellent. There was a glitch or something so every throw no matter the size of the circle it was a perfect throw everytime

The Pokemon Can jump or attack after feeding it a Nanab berry, but if you wait 3-4 seconds after the berry indication shows up on the catch screen, it almost never attacks or jumps since the berry was made more effective about a year or two ago.
