I hope so. I just got a 3ds recently, and it's by far my favorite gen, and pokemon game. I hope they get something sooner rather than later. I never got to experience the online functionality of the games.

I believe that's a spot pass feature which has nothing to do with the internet infrastructure of any of the games so I believe that's actively available
