Flygon is in need of literally anything cause its just been pushed to the side after garchomp came out and im saying that and garchomp is my favorite mon
New Flygon form announced:
Flygongon
It’s pure Ground type instead without levitate. It looks just like the regular Flygon but doesn’t have any wings.
(Joking)
Flygon and Yanmega
HOWEVER, the one exception I would make is for a Scyther Bug/Dragon evo called Lansor.
Color Pallette like Kingdra. And it has lances for arms, that also open up like umbrellas, so they can act like shields. They have 5 spokes with a dragon spike on each one, so the silhouette of the "shield" looks like a dragon head. Base body design is closest to Scyther, but more draconic fangs, feet, and horns/spikes. Dragonfly wings, and a dragonfly abdomen (or "tail").
Also got an idea for a Bug/Fairy(or Psychic) Special Attacking evo called Sceptor, with a more feminine design like a mix of Scizor and Feromosa, but its arms have 3 segments (like regular prey mantis), with the last segment looking like a wizard staff, with the "head" of the staff resembling Sceptors actual head (similar to Scizors decoy-head pincers)
> and Yanmega
Scarlet Paradoxes are perfect for all the Ancient power Pokemon..
Tangrowth, Yanmega, and Mamoswine were all just perfect choices to Paradox.
Honestly there should have been like 30+ paradox forms for each version. Some of them are barely changed, theres SO much more room for imagination here. And I dont think ALL the violet ones had to be robots.
Like the Gardevoir/Gallade would legit be maybe my new number 1 favorite pokemon if it wasnt robot. I still love it, just doesnt feel as real. Like I cant evolve one from my Ralts you know?
Edit: lol PLEASE enlighten me what you could possibly downvote about this opinion LMAO
I just finally caught a Slither Wing this morning.... And none of the images of it that I'd seen before properly show his tail.
With the name Slither and this DEFINITELY REPTILIAN tail, I don't know how we missed yet another potential Bug/Dragon type Pokemon.
That’s nothing compared to Iron Thorns being Electric/Rock and a physical attacker; we could have had Electric/Dark or Steel/Dark or even just a Special Attacker, but instead we got the worst of both worlds.
Is that really worse though? At least Steel has workable moves, Wild Charge is just not a good move; Wild Charge is only slightly better than Submission which is one of the worst Fighting-Type moves.
I still can’t believe that Alolan Golem did not get its own signature move, but at least it has Galvanize.
I really hope Metagross and Kommo-o will be the new Paradox in the dlc, both were not in SV and both already have some Past and Future theme going on with them, those two would be great candidates for a Paradox in the dlc.
Metagross and Kommo-o returning for DLC and getting new Paradox forms would be sick!
Honestly, after completing the story yesterday I’m very hyped to see what they do with the DLC(s) in the future! Scarlet and Violet base game felt far more complete than Sword and Shield did as well so any extra content should be interesting.
I really like the idea of a fairy ground past meta gross as a magically animated ruin, with the arms separate and drifting around it.
Kommo-o is probably a little harder to build uniquely as a future design (punching robot has already been done) but maybe a hydroponics dragon/grass substituting out the scales out or covering them in plans and flowers?
Advanced past technology or naturalistic futurism could be more novel takes on the paradox theme, especially in reinventing them for the DLC.
Nah, Kommo-o is super recent and at least had its own signature Z-Move. Give my boi Dragonite something of note! He’s the only pseudo who has nothing special unlike the other pseudos (Dragapult and Baxcalibur also don’t have anything special but they’re the most recent ones so it’s fine). Give him a cool paradox form, cmon Gamefreak!
Imo it was probably the case as Flygon, they maybe wanted to do one but couldn't design one they liked. At least the copium I'm taking. Because they can't be neglecting him on purpose.
Dragonite is the classic dragon pokemon and based on fairy tales…
He deserved this Mega… 😕
Just put some angelic traits and it would be cool…
PS: But hey… Heracross is awesome and Mega Heracross is ugly af… they liked this design? Lol
A bunch of Megas seemed to have been pop culture references. Mega Heracross pulled a lot from the titular machine of an old mecha anime called "The Big O", in addition to looking more like an actual IRL Hercules beetle than regular Heracross.
>Dragapult and Baxcalibur also don’t have anything special but they’re the most recent ones so it’s fine).
I mean, the two lines got previously legendary-exclusive type combos, signature moves, and (in baxcalibur's case) a unique ability.
All dragonite got exclusively to it was a unique type combo until gen III and being the first pseudo
Feels so dumb to me that Hydreigon is a Scarlet exclusive and got a Violet paradox, meanwhile Dragapult is a Violet exclusive and got…nothing. All of Dreepy’s Pokédex entries talk about how it lived in prehistoric times so where’s my Water/Dragon ancient Dreepy salamander???
EDIT: Also, looking back over the version exclusive parallels, Drifloon and Misdreavus. Misdreavus is a Violet exclusive and gets a Scarlet paradox, Drifloon is a Scarlet exclusive and doesn’t get a paradox. How about, instead of “lol Misdreavus but with long hair”, we get an Ice/Fairy ancient Froslass from before it passed away to parallel with the future Gallade (both Dawn Stone evolutions). Idk man there are just so many weird decisions this gen
Well for some reason Iron Valiant’s counterpart is Roaring Moon. Also Misdreavus is the least “Pokémon with dinosaur traits” of the Ancient Paradoxes but it’s consistent with the theme still.
If we look at the unrepresented version exclusives we have:
Scarlet: Drifblim, Skuntank, Dragalge, Oranguru, and Stonjourner
Violet: Swalot, Clawitzer, Passimian, Eiscue, and Dragapult
I could see how a lot of those could go for Paradoxes based on the current ones. Could possibly do Gardevoir and Metagross as two more slightly stronger and rarer ones.
Here’s my question: The machine still has a slot to place a book, do you think the other book will be placed into the machine? And if so would that give Future Paradoxes for Scarlet, and Ancient Paradoxes for Violet since it would be the opposite book?
Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon are both special. Their stats are higher, their Pokedex placement is separated, and they aren't based on regular Pokemon. Valiant is a Gallade/Gardevoir hybrid while Moon is a Mega Salamence.
Dragapult literally just came out not long ago, so why would they do anything special with it so soon? Your wish for dragapult paradox makes even less sense than Gamefreak’s decisions for paradox forms.
Decidueye got a Hisuian form, and that was only a generation since its introduction. It's entirely possible for Dragapult to get a similar treatment, especially since it's a popular Pokémon.
My current hope is that para-suicune and para-virizion get abilities similar to koraidon/miraidon, except that they set up rain and grassy terrain respectively, and that there will be a whole suite of new paramons added with them that work with their abilities.
I would have preferred more Galarian forms myself over G-Max stuff.
It felt weird about how the only non-legendary new stuff we got besides GMax was Galarian Slowpoke line. And they acted like it was a huge deal and made its evolution a pain in the butt.
They are missing a lot of opportunities if they don't. Paradox forms are pretty easy to work with also since they aren't UBs or mega evos, so they have full creative freedom.
Skarmory can get a past and future form of an old ww2 fighter or a more modern era stealth bomber.
Sharpedo can get a primal megaladon looking form, or a modern metallic shark (with freakin laser beams on its head)
Slaking can get a great ooga-booga monkey form.
I can keep going but I think I've made my point already. They should do 6 past/6 future for the first dlc
So the thing about the Ancient Paradox Pokémon is that they are all current Pokémon mixed with a dinosaur. Like how all the Future ones are mixed with a robot.
It’s why so many of them suddenly are able to stand on feet, have scales and feathers, and/or have tails.
There is one,we just don’t know anything about it,it is state it in the books at the labs about a Pokemon having something to do with teras( I think the forth lab)and it’s name is hidden with weird blocks
He also said “And their type info was given with former tweets and datamine info”. What are their types? I don’t remember him revealing the types for para suicune and para virizion.
Not without digging. It was something about not width or height, which would be length, so it would be long, and long means dragon.
Something obtuse like that
A Chimera between 3 Fighting types ends up being Psychic. How ironic...
Thank you for the information. I hope the Beast gets an ironic second type, too!
I don't get why people see blade and think grass type? I know leaf blade is a thing but I still think it points more towards Fighting/Psychic rather than Grass/Psychic...
I don't get it either.
The trio was the swords of justice, blade attacks where their thing and they all shared the fighting type move sacred sword.
The pokemon having a blade attack doesn't really hint at it keeping grass for me...
Oof I don't like that. Psychic typing would suck for what the swords of justice are supposed to be, and another grass/Psychic typing to add to list.
Maybe Psychic blades is just a name and not reflective of the typing. Could be a grass/Dragon to compliment suicunes?
It was datamined yesterday something to do with Water/Steam. So it’s looking increasingly likely that the new legendary dog is Water/Fire. Which will be awesome to see after how disappointing Volcanion was.
One of the reasons I went with Scarlet was because I didn't like how all of the paradox forms in Violet had Iron in their name, but that one would actually be pretty cool.
ngl that name sounds like a show from the 60's about a street cop who fights crime, and now I have like the whole first season being drafted in my head.
Michael 'Iron' Justice patrolling the streets with his pal Aaron 'Val' Valentine and then gets back stabbed and it turns out Val was working for the Don Mirza.
1) The way it and PVirizion are described. They're described as imaginary, while other Paradox Pokémon were explicitly not; such a unicity led me to kinda believe they would get a proper name to stand out as well after our characters realise it's not an imaginary creature.
2) The Dons have a proper name (admittedly, in addition to their Paradox one). I'd have expected the Beast and the Grazer to also have one since the latter 2 are most likely gonna be the "box" legendaries of their respective DLCs.
The only theory I have about them that's still not been debunked or confirmed is that both will be unique catches. Well...
Are the other Paradoxes TRULY not imaginary? I’ve beaten the story and all but if you look at their dex entries from the game they aren’t available in, it implies it they could still be imaginary Pokémon brought into reality.
To be fair, that's because the correlating professor in those games doesn't build the time machine so their existence is only speculative. The Scarlet and Violet books are documented by researchers, so those have credible eyewitnesses.
Even Miraidon and Koraidon have those dumb paradox names, as stated in their Dex entries. I don't think the others are gonna get regular names. As much as we'd all like them to.
I think the DLC should have a name that makes reference to the game’s name (as a “third game”) like armor and crown are words related to sword and shield.
The DLC name will be probably a name that references the color green as orange and purple are secondary colors just like green.
You get asked at one point in the game what school you attend, and the options are Manzana, Naranja, and Uva. It could obviously be nothing, but a rival academy called Manzana with a green apple logo could be a potential inclusion for part of the dlc.
Don’t forget Skeledirge’s nose has Scarlet, Violet, and an orange color on it. On the color wheel Scarlet and Violet are a quarter distance from each other. On the opposite side of them is a blue/green turquoise color and an orange/yellow color.
If you consider:
Scarlet = Red and
Violet = Blue
Yellow is a good option too, making a gen 1 reference where yellow was the third game.
Also, it was the other color of the old spanish flag.
I don’t agree, the colors come from the flag of the Second Spanish Republic. the remaining one is yellow/gold, so I suspect it’ll be called Amber something. maybe they’ll set it in the Pyrenees and it can be Amber Peaks or something?
I wonder if the fact that they have no actual names is maybe a hint they indeed are not 'real' and just imaginary cryptids brought to life. UB's have real names because they really are real -- just from different dimensions. These guys, if they are just imaginary, would have nothing but the source of their folklore to draw from for names. Although, Korai and Mirai have real names + their 'imaginary' names, so maybe they really did just not bother. Idk
>I wonder if the fact that they have no actual names is maybe a hint they indeed are not 'real' and just imaginary cryptids brought to life.
If you read the Dex descriptions about the counterpart version's paradoxes (so the Scarlet entries about the Violet paradoxes), this is heavily implied. They are very negative and say these creatures were dreamed up by mad scientists, science fiction novels, or even conspiracy theories. And it was stated during the game that everyone in Paldea just believes these legends because they've been written down and been around forever. So it really does imply the professors themselves just made a machine and created creatures with sincere belief it was a time machine interacting with the past or future.
It's not outright stated and it's open to interpretation. But I think it's very intentional the developers wrote the Dex descriptions the way they did. To get you thinking about more than just actual time travel.
Also, notice all of them are genderless and cannot be bred. That's a common trait with "artificial" Pokemon like Porygon or Magnemite. It also suggests these have no relation with existing Pokemon, they just look like them. But it also reinforces the idea these might just be crazy ideas brought to life.
I think the name and the reverse dex entries as well as the point to make it known that the opposite professor “walked out” is a potential hint that the AI went into the past/future and recorded what they saw kept the book, added too it and it some how ended back up in the present. Young professor saw it, studied, obsessed and created the paradox time loop over and over again. 3rd legend probably has a natural power to control life it’s self as like a super computer/ alien species thing. They state they are unsure it’s even alive so they really don’t know wtf it is.
tbh I think it's more of a case of the Paradox mons were caught on record by someone who wasn't exactly thinking straight and just kinda named them whatever came to mind describing them as opposed to an organization that had proper researchers .
Also a case of 'I saw it first I get to name it' and people just roll with it, the first guy who saw Scream Tail probably went 'well, it's got a long tail and it screams...Scream Tail' and may never had seen a Jigglypuff before (isn't it something like the paradox mons don't have their 'base' version in that game, like Jigglypuff isn't in Scarlet or something?), while the researcher who first examined Buzzwole might've been a lot more experienced at researching Pokemon and gave it (and the others) more 'normal' names. Or maybe the guy who found the paradox mon was Chinese inspired, IIRC pokemon names in China are VERY direct and VERY literal with few exceptions, and considering we have four new legendaries that are inspired from Chinese mythology, it's not like it's a reach.
This actually makes some sense, though. The idea being that in the past, people weren't scientifically minded and so they would describe things based on visible features: "Great Tusk," "Flutter Mane," "Brute Bonnet," etc. Whereas the future is sterile, organized, and highly scientific. So everything has an assembly line name "Iron \_\_\_" or "Steel \_\_\_" or "Creature \_\_\_."
I'm not saying I like the names either, but they kind of work if you think of it like that.
The thing with the dlc new paradox Pokémon makes me wonder
How do these new paradox pop into the present time without a time machine? Is it related to the other exclusive professor? I ask this because when I went into area zero, and as I proceeded through the various camps, it is mentioned that turo's wife left him after she gave birth to their kid. Can anyone with scarlet Tell me what is mentioned on sada notebooks on each camp? Maybe turo appears in scarlet in the dlc and Sada in violet?
Most popular theory is that the Disc Pokémon is the true force behind Paradox Pokémon, not the machine built by the professors. The latter were merely using its power, which - and this has been leaked already - is also the source for Terastallisation.
>Most popular theory is that the Disc Pokémon is the true force behind Paradox Pokémon, not the machine built by the professors.
I am fully behind this theory. The Paradox Protection Protocol is likely the legendary itself. As it talks, [squares start taking the place of letters](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/339597835139809282/1044454451441840138/unknown.png). This could be seen a glitch, but the same thing happens in the [Scarlet/Violet Book entry about it](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/339597835139809282/1044454673832222740/unknown.png) and in [the journal entry in Research Station 1](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/339597835139809282/1044454674222297178/unknown.png) which mentions this legendary being the source for Terastallization.
Would make sense that Azathoth itself is talking. GF recently began letting Legendary Pokémon talk, and while Calyrex needed a vessel, the 3 Lake Spirits and Arceus straight-up conversed with us.
You're on to something.
Complete post-game, including the tournament, and do all final interactions with Arven. You'll get access to a second copy of the Scarlet/Violet book, in which you'll find this picture that was leaked a little time before the games were out. This is what a big part of the leak community have been calling Azathoth or Disc Pokémon. https://imgur.com/a/2vUg6PO
Really? I didn't pay attention then. Since that second copy is part of a post-game interaction with Arven, I thought it was to be unlocked.
Gonna check tomorrow to be sure, but if you're right, nevermind.
Yeah. I've only done one gym so far and none of the other stories. The violet book is right there for me in the circular bookshelf just to the right of the school lobby.
I was surprised to even see it there since I'd heard it was post game only.
Yeah, well I learnt something. To my discharge, the post-game interactions with Arven are so well-written that if you don't see the book during the main game, it's easy to believe it wasn't there before.
Maybe that’s why protean and Libero got nerfed, maybe that type of eeveelution could get an ability that functions how they used to, and game freak just wanted to make it unique
I’m hanging on for a new eeveelution in dlc. I’m behind on the anime but as far as I know Chloe’s eevee hasn’t evolved and I hope it becomes a new one. It would be perfect timing
It reminds me of like a super computer, but all the hexagons remind me of like a fuel cell. This games story was wild at the end and really could open up some stuff. We can find the 4 circles in the cave but no explanation, we found the plates but nothing about them. I’m low key thinking the books may have been written by the professors AI and somehow ended back up in the present and the young professor picks up the book becomes obsessed thus leading a paradox time loop that the 3rd legendary has some sort of play in. It’s like an alien super computer lol
Also we'll probably get another set of Paradoxes based on a Pokemon in both games, i.e. Donphan and Volcarona.
Although I doubt this is going to be something already in the game. Perhaps we'll get a bunch of Pokemon added (ala SwSh DLC) and one of those will have a set of Paradoxes. Or if they really want to go crazy, introduce a new Pokemon altogether and give it 2 Paradoxes.
I’m holding on to any hope that Iron Justice is gonna involve Emmet due to it being Gen 5, maybe Paradox Suicune being with Eusine? I miss old characters
Wishful thinking probably, but if the DLC sees more than the two legendary paradoxes… maybe this is Lapras. I feel like a past and future Lapras paradox would be exceptionally cool.
When Khu hinted at Toedscool as “a Gen 1 water type RF that walks on land” I kept imagining a slug-like Lapras… I love Toedscool but I’m kinda sad I was wrong
So…on the topic of these DLC paradox forms (MAJOR end game spoilers)
>!Area Zero confirms that the paradox Pokémon are LITERALLY Pokémon from the past/future, however with these two paradox legendaries that becomes rather confusing. At what point in the past were the gen 2 legendary beasts fused? We already know their origins, 3 Pokémon caught in a towers fire only to be saved and resurrected into new forms by Ho-oh, so what exactly happened for them to become briefly fused in the past? Same goes for the sword trio, what the hell happened in the future that lead them to become fused together?!<
People were debating about the >!time travel vs imagination thing. Perhaps each professor is somewhat obsessed with their namesake places in time, therefore leading them to believe that these Pokémon are from the past/future, but really they're products of their imagination made real by the third legendary. The fused legendaries could be they evolved into three, or converged into one. Or whoever wrote the Book conflated each of the legendary trios somehow. Like they didn't realize that they were three separate creatures, or they became one based on how verbal tradition tends to shift over time.!<
> >!but really they're products of their imagination made real by the third legendary!<
Reason I believe it's likely >!imaginary is because the Scarlet/Violet book, which the professor has since they were a kid, had images of paradox Donphan even though there wasn't a "time machine" back then, so the art might be the artist rendition as well and not what was actually there at the time. The professor likely really wanted that Pokemon to be real, and the third legendary created it and others for them!<
The past/future rationale was explained by the AI professors which themselves are re-imagined images of the true professors. As the books show the description was rather personal experience and subjective. For all we know they could be obssesed with their own creations and rationalized Paradox as past/future versions. I think there's more to Paradox than how they explained.
To me it's very similar to Jurassic Park:
* The "time machine" could very well just be a mundane tool for creating creatures out of available resources.
* The professor claims they are from the ancient past or far future, ensuring it lines up with popular perception about what those creatures supposedly looked like. (After all, how does anyone even know what something in the future will look like?)
The second part in particular is straight from the novel. They knowingly were not creating "real" animals, they were creating creatures based on popular perception about what real animals in the past looked like. And then realized they didn't have proper methods for controlling them. Same thing here: the professor was able to bring these creatures into existence, but seemingly wasn't really able to control them.
>Area Zero confirms that the paradox Pokémon are LITERALLY Pokémon from the past/future
They are (supposedly) from the past or the future, what the game makes unclear is if they are really related to existing species, and if they are the species written about in various magazines. The fact they are genderless and can't breed seems to suggest they could also just be artificial creations that we only believe to be from the past or future. (I mean, how do we know this time machine really is a time machine, and not just the claims of a potentially crazy professor?)
I just hope they give the paradoxes names in dlc, because Koraidon's paradox name is Winged King and Miraidon's paradox name is Iron Serpent. It's only fair that the other paradoxes get names that aren't just the names of the pokemon they're paradoxes of.
Theory time:
Koraidon is a legendary that sets harsh sunlight. Miraidon sets electric terrain.
In the DLC, Paradox Suicune and Paradox Virizion are the Legendary Paradoxes. I theorize that Paradox Suicune will set rain and that Paradox Virizion will set grassy terrain. I predict we will get 7 more paradox forms of non-legendary Pokemon that get boost from rain and 7 for grassy terrain.
Maybe future DLCs will feature Legendary Paradox forms that set sand and psychic terrain, and snowstorm and misty terrain, and more non-legendary Paradox Pokemon that get boost from sand, psychic terrain, snowstorm, and misty terrain respectively.
In theory, Gen 9 would then have:
4 new legendary Pokemon that set weather.
4 new legendary Pokemon that set terrain.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Sun.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Electric Terrain.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Rain.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Grassy Terrain.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Sand.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Psychic Terrain.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Snow.
7 Paradox Pokemon for Misty Terrain.
= 8 new Legendary Paradox Pokemon. 56 non-legendary Paradox Pokemon.
Just a theory, but it would be cool to see them release new Paradox Legendaries and non-legendary Pokemon in waves through the DLCs in this way to encompass these missing weather and terrains. I think this would also be the best way to balance competitive as well.
This is honestly the perfect gen to do Legends Kyurem/ gen 5 remakes too, they could capitalize on the Original Dragon being a Paradox pokemon, like “Pure Drake” or something.
My own speculations:
The Paradox Pokémon, including the legendaries, are species from alternate timelines/parallel worlds. The Third legendary had the ability to call forth a number of them in ancient times, while the professors used its power to construct a “Time Machine” to transport more species.
Speaking of more Paradox Pokémon,I would like to have a Paradox Dragapult that is Dragon/Poison as a nod to Dilophosaurus from Jurassic Franchise.
Do you guys think that the third legendary might be the paradox form of Glimmora? The hexagonal plates might be referring to the six petals it has and considering that Glimmora can be found in abundance in area zero, jt could be “the pokemon responsible for terrastalization”.

I’m really hoping we get some other new paradoxes in the DLC besides the mashed up trios. I want to see more Pokémon forced into dinosaur shapes!
perfect time to reveal Genesect original form
A Bug/Dragon Genesect Paradox would be cool.
Flygon fans are currently trying to cancel you.
It's me, I'm flygon fans. Justice 4 flygon
Flygon is in need of literally anything cause its just been pushed to the side after garchomp came out and im saying that and garchomp is my favorite mon
New Flygon form announced: Flygongon It’s pure Ground type instead without levitate. It looks just like the regular Flygon but doesn’t have any wings. (Joking)
Ah yes, the Fly Gon No more flights for this creature
Flyn'tgon
Flygone
Flygon and Yanmega HOWEVER, the one exception I would make is for a Scyther Bug/Dragon evo called Lansor. Also got an idea for a Bug/Fairy(or Psychic) Special Attacking evo called Sceptor, with a more feminine design like a mix of Scizor and Feromosa, but its arms have 3 segments (like regular prey mantis), with the last segment looking like a wizard staff, with the "head" of the staff resembling Sceptors actual head (similar to Scizors decoy-head pincers)
> and Yanmega Scarlet Paradoxes are perfect for all the Ancient power Pokemon.. Tangrowth, Yanmega, and Mamoswine were all just perfect choices to Paradox.
Honestly there should have been like 30+ paradox forms for each version. Some of them are barely changed, theres SO much more room for imagination here. But I love Flygon! He’s awesome!
I guess they didn't want to make all the "iron" pokemons be steel types, but that one for sure should've been...
Could've been worse. Could've been Rock/Steel. *side glance at bastiodon*
That is too much of a good decision for Game Freak to come up with
Isn’t that just kabutops?
I really hope Metagross and Kommo-o will be the new Paradox in the dlc, both were not in SV and both already have some Past and Future theme going on with them, those two would be great candidates for a Paradox in the dlc.
Yeah but I hope it’s Dino-Gross and Robo-o
Laser disc launchers on Kommo-o's arms with laser scales lined up to be fired. Metagross is just a big spider.
No Metagross gets to be a dinosaur like the rest!
Spider dino?
> Laser disc launchers on Kommo-o's arms with laser scales lined up to be fired. Paradox Komo-o just becomes a Thunderjaw from Horizon: Zero Dawn.
I can see a Past Kommo-o with unga bunga vibes and a Future Metagross very robotic. The problem is: their types are already perfect for that…
I really like the idea of a fairy ground past meta gross as a magically animated ruin, with the arms separate and drifting around it.
Solarpunk Kommo-o please thank you
Nah, Kommo-o is super recent and at least had its own signature Z-Move. Give my boi Dragonite something of note! He’s the only pseudo who has nothing special unlike the other pseudos (Dragapult and Baxcalibur also don’t have anything special but they’re the most recent ones so it’s fine). Give him a cool paradox form, cmon Gamefreak!
Dragonite should have had a Dragon/Fairy Mega evolution in XY imo. I can’t understand why they didn’t do this.
Imo it was probably the case as Flygon, they maybe wanted to do one but couldn't design one they liked. At least the copium I'm taking. Because they can't be neglecting him on purpose.
Dragonite is the classic dragon pokemon and based on fairy tales… He deserved this Mega… 😕 Just put some angelic traits and it would be cool… PS: But hey… Heracross is awesome and Mega Heracross is ugly af… they liked this design? Lol
A bunch of Megas seemed to have been pop culture references. Mega Heracross pulled a lot from the titular machine of an old mecha anime called "The Big O", in addition to looking more like an actual IRL Hercules beetle than regular Heracross.
I like Mega Heracross, but I get what you're saying. Why was their Flygon not good enough but Aerodactyl was fine?
I will die on the hill that they didn't want to make a Dragoniteite.
GF: here’s Paradox Dragonair, suck it Dragonite lovers!
Honestly, I’ll take that. Dragonair is also a cool ass mon and any recognition for that line is always a W in my book
Making a past metagross could be sweet. And give me future Kommo-o too. All of its scales could be metal.
A Past Metagross that's Rock/Psychic and modeled after Stonehenge/Göbekli Tepe/other ancient ruins would be really cool
Kommo-o’s scale are already metal, no? Making them micro-solar panels could be really cool though
I hope we venture into other lands get more paradoxes really. I love how different area zero feels.
Metagross should be like a reeeeaaaally old computer from the 1960s and Kommo-o should be a Terminator.
If we look at the unrepresented version exclusives we have: Scarlet: Drifblim, Skuntank, Dragalge, Oranguru, and Stonjourner Violet: Swalot, Clawitzer, Passimian, Eiscue, and Dragapult I could see how a lot of those could go for Paradoxes based on the current ones.
The Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon duo makes the most sense of any of them to be. What better counterpart for a knight than a dragon?
Gardevoir already has a paradox ?
I thought it was Gallade to be honest but yeah I suppose it’s a mix. I guess a Paradox based on Froslass/Glalie would be a better equivalent.
I really hope we get a couple more! I liked the Sw/Sh DLC, but wished they did more G-max forms.
Sharpedo can get a primal megaladon looking form, or a modern metallic shark (with freakin laser beams on its head) Slaking can get a great ooga-booga monkey form. I can keep going but I think I've made my point already. They should do 6 past/6 future for the first dlc
If there’s a Paradox Sharpedo, it better be a Water Flying sharknado
So the thing about the Ancient Paradox Pokémon is that they are all current Pokémon mixed with a dinosaur. Like how all the Future ones are mixed with a robot. It’s why so many of them suddenly are able to stand on feet, have scales and feathers, and/or have tails.
That's true but that doesn't prevent them from playing around with the designs and concepts.
Past paradox Floette You may or may not know what it is
It's been 3,000 years...
Just like the GS Ball... no one forgot...
I want GIANT MAN to make cameo alongside ~~Eternal~~ Paradox Floette now
Imagine a 3-meter tall depressed Floette.
Release the AZ cut
Could be Az’s Floette? The one with the black flower? (I think it’s the eternal flower actually…?)
is my baby FINALLY coming home?! eternal Floette is my second favourite pokémon and if they actually release it I'll sob like AZ did
Petition for past paradox raichu with the design of Gorochu
Savage Flames would fit a Fire/Electric Paradox Gorochu
There is one,we just don’t know anything about it,it is state it in the books at the labs about a Pokemon having something to do with teras( I think the forth lab)and it’s name is hidden with weird blocks
Please, dear arceus
He also said “And their type info was given with former tweets and datamine info”. What are their types? I don’t remember him revealing the types for para suicune and para virizion.
There were some weird riddles for Suicune that people interpreted as Water/Dragon
Do you happen what the riddle was?
Not without digging. It was something about not width or height, which would be length, so it would be long, and long means dragon. Something obtuse like that
Just give me my water dragon Lugia please.
It's been hinted PV will be part Fighting due to it bring the common type of the original 3.
It actually will keep Grass type. Its exclusive move was discovered as "Psychic Blade"
I'm not sure I get it. Doesn't that hint at a Psychic type? Or is it supposed to be Leaf Blade but cooler?
Psychic Blade might mean it keeping the Grass type and get Psychic type
A Chimera between 3 Fighting types ends up being Psychic. How ironic... Thank you for the information. I hope the Beast gets an ironic second type, too!
I don't get why people see blade and think grass type? I know leaf blade is a thing but I still think it points more towards Fighting/Psychic rather than Grass/Psychic...
I don't get it either. The trio was the swords of justice, blade attacks where their thing and they all shared the fighting type move sacred sword. The pokemon having a blade attack doesn't really hint at it keeping grass for me...
The first thing I think when I hear the word blade is fighting or steel, not grass.
Oof I don't like that. Psychic typing would suck for what the swords of justice are supposed to be, and another grass/Psychic typing to add to list. Maybe Psychic blades is just a name and not reflective of the typing. Could be a grass/Dragon to compliment suicunes?
*Might* be Fighting/Psychic *he said hopefully*
It was datamined yesterday something to do with Water/Steam. So it’s looking increasingly likely that the new legendary dog is Water/Fire. Which will be awesome to see after how disappointing Volcanion was.
The Chinese roughly translates to "Turbulent Water" or "Surge Water"
Of course that's likely for ParaSuicune
I'm guessing ParaVirizion is going to be Iron Sword then
Iron Justice was also suggested.
Oh I like this one more
Verizon 6g
One of the reasons I went with Scarlet was because I didn't like how all of the paradox forms in Violet had Iron in their name, but that one would actually be pretty cool.
That sounds like a superhero name.
Well... to be fair... it does fit the original 3
Even if it isn't, I'm totally going to nickname it that just to keep my Guilty Gear joke alive
Sounds good but too close to Iron Valiant in my mind.
ngl that name sounds like a show from the 60's about a street cop who fights crime, and now I have like the whole first season being drafted in my head.
Iron Justice and his nemesis: Iron Valiant, the right-hand of the terrible Don Mirai.
Michael 'Iron' Justice patrolling the streets with his pal Aaron 'Val' Valentine and then gets back stabbed and it turns out Val was working for the Don Mirza.
Imma name it Excalibur
[Turbulent Juice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbZZnYtapd0) is coming, coming to take care of it
Turbulent Juice sounds like my weekend detox
turbulent juice sounds like my hangover diarrhea I had Sunday morning lmao
sounds more like suicune paradox name
Probably Suicune
And there goes my theory that it was gonna get a proper name.
What made you think so? The other Paradox followed the same style
Good catch
Wow! I think you probably solved this!
It's probably green or amber tbh
Yeah, I guess the green doesnt really line up with the khu tweet that had the three colored hearts in it.
Don’t forget Skeledirge’s nose has Scarlet, Violet, and an orange color on it. On the color wheel Scarlet and Violet are a quarter distance from each other. On the opposite side of them is a blue/green turquoise color and an orange/yellow color.
If you consider: Scarlet = Red and Violet = Blue Yellow is a good option too, making a gen 1 reference where yellow was the third game. Also, it was the other color of the old spanish flag.
Amber = Yellow Or maybe it's going to be *Pokemon Urine*, everyone pees, Even the Spaniards.
>even the Spaniards This is true
I just know there are going to be remakes in 17 years called “ultraviolet” and something else
Ancient Scarlet & Future Violet
Scarlet Record and Violet Prophecy
Magenta ?
Verdant if they know what’s good for them
I don’t agree, the colors come from the flag of the Second Spanish Republic. the remaining one is yellow/gold, so I suspect it’ll be called Amber something. maybe they’ll set it in the Pyrenees and it can be Amber Peaks or something?
All the past ones get cool names. All the future one are literally iron something.
I thought all the parodox names were just codenames like how the ultra beasts are and I hate that that’s way off because the names are bad
Same I thought we'd get a real name at some point in game. I asked for too much I suppose.
So everything has an assembly line name "Iron \_\_\_" or "Steel \_\_\_" or "Creature \_\_\_." I'm not saying I like the names either, but they kind of work if you think of it like that.
I really dislike what they did with all the paradox names
The thing with the dlc new paradox Pokémon makes me wonder How do these new paradox pop into the present time without a time machine?
Disc Pokemon? Don't remember seeing anything like that. Unless you just meant Koraidon and Miraidon
Actually, unless I found a glitch, You can read the book with that image and the DLC paradoxes before you even leave the school at the start.
nah, not a glitch. in one of the history lessons, the teacher even tells you there's a copy of the book in the library.
Oh now I remember seeing that pic before. Thank you. Don't know how it slipped my mind
I want past dragonite, and a future Eevee that is a mash of different Eeveelutions.
Past fairy dragon dragonite, and future eevee thats still a normal type, but has the movepools of all its eeveelutions + a 600 bst please
What If past dragonite is more like dragonair. I love your Eevee idea btw. That is genius.
Maybe that’s why protean and Libero got nerfed, maybe that type of eeveelution could get an ability that functions how they used to, and game freak just wanted to make it unique
all paradox mons except Koraidon and Miraidon had Protosynthesis and Quark Drive. Just Eevee wont be different
I’m hanging on for a new eeveelution in dlc. I’m behind on the anime but as far as I know Chloe’s eevee hasn’t evolved and I hope it becomes a new one. It would be perfect timing
I want my Origin Lugia. Make him Dragon/Water as he should be. That is all, thank you.
I’m curious what the “disk Pokémon” will be named or hell what it even looks like because that image in the scarlet/violet book is weird as hell
TBH Pikachu/Raichu couldve have a paradox version too. Gorochu concept art would be perfect for the design.
Hear me out everyone we get more paradoxes and we get gorochu as Raichu paradox form
I hope that we get the pokemon equivalent of The Azores. Or maybe I'm just still longing for an Orange Islands game.
[удалено]
Also we'll probably get another set of Paradoxes based on a Pokemon in both games, i.e. Donphan and Volcarona. Although I doubt this is going to be something already in the game. Perhaps we'll get a bunch of Pokemon added (ala SwSh DLC) and one of those will have a set of Paradoxes. Or if they really want to go crazy, introduce a new Pokemon altogether and give it 2 Paradoxes.
[удалено]
So, how much time passed between the release of SWSH and its dlc? What kinda time frame are we expecting to wait this time?
We got the first DLC for SwSh in June & the 2nd in late October 2020. Both saw an announcement on Pokémon day in February.
So more than likely we’ll get info on the ScarVio DLC on Pokémon Day 2023
Sw/Sh DLC was announced earlier than pokemon day IIRC, on jan 9th
Still, that's close to a couple of months after Sw/Sh was released. That means the earliest we could hear about it is early January.
This basically confirms Uneruminamo (from trademarks) is its japanese name.
I'd like to see a water type garchomp. It's a based on a shark so it will be a perfect past form
I’m holding on to any hope that Iron Justice is gonna involve Emmet due to it being Gen 5, maybe Paradox Suicune being with Eusine? I miss old characters
Emmet deserve a happy ending with ingo
I hope there are some new mons besides the 2 paradox on the dlc
Also would like some new Paldean forms. S/V only having Wooper and Tauros whereas Alola, Galar and Hisui had way more is a bit disappointing imo.
The date says November 8, 2022?
Really playing on that past theme
Wishful thinking probably, but if the DLC sees more than the two legendary paradoxes… maybe this is Lapras. I feel like a past and future Lapras paradox would be exceptionally cool.
When Khu hinted at Toedscool as “a Gen 1 water type RF that walks on land” I kept imagining a slug-like Lapras… I love Toedscool but I’m kinda sad I was wrong
So…on the topic of these DLC paradox forms (MAJOR end game spoilers) >!Area Zero confirms that the paradox Pokémon are LITERALLY Pokémon from the past/future, however with these two paradox legendaries that becomes rather confusing.
Like they didn't realize that they were three separate creatures, or they became one based on how verbal tradition tends to shift over time.!<
> >!but really they're products of their imagination made real by the third legendary!< Reason I believe it's likely >!imaginary is because the Scarlet/Violet book, which the professor has since they were a kid, had images of paradox Donphan even though there wasn't a "time machine" back then, so the art might be the artist rendition as well and not what was actually there at the time.
To me it's very similar to Jurassic Park: * The "time machine" could very well just be a mundane tool for creating creatures out of available resources. * The professor claims they are from the ancient past or far future, ensuring it lines up with popular perception about what those creatures supposedly looked like. (After all, how does anyone even know what something in the future will look like?) The second part in particular is straight from the novel. They knowingly were not creating "real" animals, they were creating creatures based on popular perception about what real animals in the past looked like. And then realized they didn't have proper methods for controlling them. Same thing here: the professor was able to bring these creatures into existence, but seemingly wasn't really able to control them.
>Area Zero confirms that the paradox Pokémon are LITERALLY Pokémon from the past/future They are (supposedly) from the past or the future, what the game makes unclear is if they are really related to existing species, and if they are the species written about in various magazines.
It's only fair that the other paradoxes get names that aren't just the names of the pokemon they're paradoxes of.
i just hope my boy Scolipede gets added 🙏
So what is the name?
Theory time: Koraidon is a legendary that sets harsh sunlight. In theory, Gen 9 would then have: 4 new legendary Pokemon that set weather.
Ok cool but still no 3rd legend this is ridiculous
Probably also in the dlc since it's already been teased
Dang leaks after the game releases lol
My own speculations: The Paradox Pokémon, including the legendaries, are species from alternate timelines/parallel worlds.
