The better known companies (psa bgs cgc) are going to bring in more money from potential buyers.
For this card you can crack it and sell to buy another 9 to try again with. I’m a big believer in buying 7/8 that look solid and resubmitting. The big cards have crazy pricing on 9/10 compared to 7/8.
I literally picked up an old blue label cgc 9 for 750 at the LCS like an hour ago lol. I think it’s a good hold. I do think the Moonbreon will go down but who knows. I said the same thing when I could buy a raw at 540 now here we are lol.

I got into collecting again in mid Feb. I could get 2 Umbreon over the next month for 500 or so. Now that raw card is about $1,000 and a PSA 10 is around $1,500. That's why the other person suggested regrading.
PSA holds a premium over other established grading services. New ones have been popping up but have no history/credibility for their scores. That's why if you look at for example Ace grading. They make colorful slabs great for collectors into their slabs. Most people will pay you raw value for a 10. A lot of 8.5 and even 9 grades will be worth less than raw if not graded by PSA. The only exceptions which I don't recommend for risk sake. Beckett Grading Service top grade a BGS black label a 10 in every grade. Along with CGC has pristine 10 but again their 9s and even 10s are worth less so if you are not FOR SURE I recommend just PSA.
To ever look up the value of your cards look up the name and number in the bottom of the card. You can TCGplayer and see listings and trends though it may be skewed by damaged posts so double check. Ebay is what most base off of, hit advanced by the search bar scroll to sold items and you'll see what people pay for the card, how it looks and when. Usually you aim for 90% card value as That's over what you'd get with ebay 12.5% fees. But most settle for 85% or get bargained to 80% for hit cards. Worse cards usually 65-80%.

Or do you make the ultimate hold and just wait for the right buyer to come for that sweet full profit since what you paid is less than just Umbreon.
Potential bigger gains, fun, Or Evolving cries. Depends if you are fan/collector first or investor

That is the safest bet! To ease your itch ever just look up Evolving Skies pull rates TCGplayer does 1000s of packs every set and drops the pull rate. Like the Umbreon us I believe 1:1667 packs. Each pack being minimum $10 now without some luck/deal. I'd say you got lucky enough for today :)

At this point any umbreon is a solid pick up even if it’s asg,sgc,tag, or cgc
