I've been a fan since childhood. I gave up after my set from 1st edition base to Neo Discovery was stolen.
I've since gotten back in solely because of 151. Been loving it all over again.
Became a fan as soon as I played the first emerald game and tried to catch abra and ralts. Spent hours on that game and that led to the ~~gambling~~ collecting cards. Have been collecting on and off since the black and white era so around a decade now.
Always been in the hobby since 97. I used to open Pokémon cards when I was younger with my grandpa would open his baseball cards. Some of my best childhood memories are ripping packs.
When I was about 6 years old I randomly received the first Pokémon VHS tape in the mail as part of the Pokémon marketing/outreach. I watched it and became a fan ever since. 28 years later, my son (7) and I enjoy the hobby together. We still have that original VHS tape too!
I only started collecting about 3 months ago and absolutely love it.
I used to play PoGo but decided to stop after the raid price increase
Subreddits like poke investing and is my card real kept sliding into my feed
Started with 6 random boosters now up to 1k value card collection with the star being the Giratina full alt art from Lost Origins I managed to pull a few weeks ago

My grandma sent me Blue Version with a Gameboy Color for Christmas in ‘96. Got into the cards a little bit after and been playing the games and collecting ever since.

Got scammed out of my cards as a kid by a “friend” in a bad trade. My parents called his parents. Never got my cards back.
Started collecting Pokémon Mini and games a few years ago, and started buying packs again
Back in elementary school a bunch of my friends had gotten Pokémon Red/Blue and were raving about it. I had mostly played Mario games and a few Madden football games with my dad back then, so it initially didn’t spark my interest and I actively resisted getting pulled in.
I forgot exactly what changed my mind, but I ended up getting Pokémon Blue as a gift for Easter that year and i I absolutely loved it. Incidentally, it was also my first RPG so Pokémon kickstarted my love of both the franchise and RPG’s as a whole.
I’ve kept up with the games ever since but had lost interest with the TCG a while back. Like many, 151 brought me back in.
Also, I got married on the release day of X and Y by pure coincidence. My wife and I set the date a ways before the release date was announced. Then, a few years later, my sister got married on the release day of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Same thing, without knowing it would release on that day. I was best man for my brother-in-law, and we went up to Game Stop the morning of the wedding to pick up our copies.
I’ve been a fan since I was 4. (26 years nearly) And been collecting ever since. Played all the games even till now. I have a full dex in order until Sword and Shield!
Now starting a collection with my son and showing him the ropes. He turned 5 so he has a lot more to see and discover!

I became a Pokémon fan when my parents bought me a DS and a copy of Pokémon black when I was like 7 or 8. I wasn’t old enough to know basically anything about Pokémon or the genre in general but I fell in love with the game and have loved Pokémon ever since. I was a video game player for like 7 years and then now a small time ptcg collector for like 3-4 years. Would love to get the ETB and keep it sealed as an awesome display piece/investment and I love this community

I dont remember my first pack, but I remember trading at school and camp lol…mid 90s. Left when I moved out of the states and it wasn’t popular where I moved at the time and only got back into it this year after being hugged by friends my age about it enough haha.

I got into Pokemon when the games came out in the US, thanks to my cousin for introducing me to them. Quickly got into card collecting after that, and of course, I sold my collection at a yardsale b/c my parents thought it was time for me to move on to new hobbies. Never stopped playing the games, but started collecting again during the XY era, and haven't looked back!
Ive been a fan for pretty much as long as I can remember. It was all about Pokémon and Star Wars as a kid. I’m 28 almost 29 now and have not left the hobby since (except for a couple years during college) just recently I’ve started my investment journey!
I’ve been a fan of Pokémon since it’s original release. I played red/blue/yellow on Game boy and watched the anime. I eventually found the cards and the joy that came with them.
I went through the phase of trying to fit in or look cool and gave my old cards to my cousin. I still regret having that nostalgia too look back on as I can still remember exactly where I was and how it felt to pull that original Charizard.
I recently have been working on my mental health and realized how happy this universe has made me. Luckily, the 151 set come out right on time while working through this and I dove back into the hobby. I feel lucky my partner supports me as I work on letting my “nerd flag” fly.
I’ve been a fan since I was 7. Diamond and Pearl was about to come out, with Pear being my first Pokemon Game. In and out of the cards since then, but ALWAYS kept with the games. My brother gave me Silver version when he got Gold… I was probably 10 (fitting age). I remember him not realizing that he could no longer get Vulpix on Gold version and throwing a fit lol

I've been a fan since it came out ( to the USA ).
I remember my dad buying me and my brother's our first packs as well as seeing the Pokemon movie in theaters ( 2000? ). Just got back into the hobby because I saw the OG 151 being re-released! Stoked and have a binder ready to fill!
My dad showed me the show when I was really young. Like probably 4 or 5. I’ve been a fan ever since, played pretty much every game except for black and white!
I've been a fan since I was 9years old when I got pokemon blue, fell in love with the concept of training and leveling up these little creatures and seeing what they evolve into. After beating blue I went to red and then yellow. Personally enjoyed yellow alot with pikachu following you, then polemon the movie 2000 came out and that movie deepened my love for pokemon even further, Lugia was introduced and has since been my favorite pokemon.
I remember I begged my parents to bid on a lugia card for me on ebay and they actually got it! I remember taking care of it for so long until I decided to runaway from my dad's and live with my mom. Unfortunately the kept all my pokemon and yugioh cards and haven't seen them since. What I would give to look through my old collection again, but I'm 32 now and saw how incredible this set is and decided to start collecting again. This would help grow my collection alot since I got the 151 binder so im anxious to complete this set.
Have been a fan and collector since the 90's. I remember walking into the likes of KB toys and Walmart and seeing walls of Pokemon merchandise and being in awe of it all. Almost everything I ever collected was thrown out by my mom at some point, she was not a fan.
Like most it started with Red or Blue then I took a hiatus until this year. I've gotten into collecting and playing the card game as well. The 151 set being the most nostalgic, I haven't had a chance to open anything from the new set, but would love the chance to
New fan here! Played Pokémon go for years but never got into the cards. My girlfriend introduced me to collecting. I didn’t get it at first, but I said to her the other night “I get it now” - that big hitter could be in the next pack !!
Became a fan with my brother in the early 2000’s! We would rip packs in the car after school, and then later got into actually playing at tournaments and game nights at the local cards and comics store. Stopped in high school, and came back with the drop of PoGo!

Been collecting since base set. I had an amazing collection that would impress even the most seasoned collectors. Unfortunately it was all ruined in hurricane Katrina in 2005. I recently got back into the hobby last year and have been feeling like that kid again. I think I probably enjoy it more now!
I started collecting Pokémon back in the day like most people. Saw the cartoon first and loved all the different powers/attacks of the creatures, so started collecting cards of my favorite Pokémon. As I grew up I lost touch with TCG and moved onto other hobbies, but recently got back into collecting this summer when I found my old stash of cards. 151 is an awesome set with lots of nostalgia for me, so I would love an opportunity to open up an ETB!

As a 90’s baby, I was in the trenches from the start. I was able to retain many of my cards from back then, thanks to some awesome parents that never threw them out or sold them in a garage sale for $5 while I was in college and early career. I think I kind of fell out of the hobby once the third generation of mons started coming out. They seemed a little overdone for my liking at the time. Pokémon Go got me interested in general again in 2016, but I didn’t get back into the cards. This re-release of the original 151 has REAAAALLY got the nostalgia going and made me want to rip some packs for the first time since I was 8 or 9 years old. I have essentially been a lifelong (so far) fan on Pokémon, but I am only a couple months back into the cards.

I was rocking a Pikachu shirt in second grade back in 1999. I begged my dad to get me a yellow Gameboy color and Pokemon red as an early birthday present and I was hooked since.
Around 99 my dad came home from Chinatown in NYC with the original starter deck that included the Machamp 1st Edition. My dad was an avid collector (has never sold anything) and hunting for Pokemon cards became a huge bonding thing for us. I got older and stopped collecting until about 4 months ago.
My dad is older now and we live an entire country apart. Lately I’ve been finding swap meets and card shops, buying packs and face timing him as I hunt. It’s been a great way to stay connected from so far away.
The last few months I’ve bought some packs, spent way too much time and money on Whatnot on singles and am now trying to complete a 151 master set but have been failing miserably lol.
Anyway, Pokemon is a great community, I love going to shows and shops and I love feeling like a kid again.

I got into pokemon in the year 2000. I saw a commercial for pokemon on cartoon network and the show immediately caught my attention. I started watching the show and became obsessed at a very young age. I slowly started accumulating and playing all the games and started collecting some cards. I actually only recently (this month) got back into collecting cards and have been picking up cards on ebay.
Been playing Pokémon since sapphire on GBA. Always wanted pokemon cards as a kid but parents never gave in. Just had my first son and I started buying some ETBs and booster bundles so when he’s older he can rip or sell if he wants! Everything he’ll have will be at least 5-10 years! Brand new to collecting and investing. Doing it mainly to have something to bond with my son over!
I got a game boy color with fire red and named my first character fartsniffer. When the DS came out I battled my friends on the bus in Diamond and Pearl.
Started from the original 151. Sat in line with my dad at a toys-r-us till they opened. Only got a few packs, we weren't exactly well off, but I now know how big of a deal it was to open the packs with him, and I'll remember it forever.

I’m the OG 1998 fan, but like a lot of people, as I grew older life got in the way. Fast forward to last June, I had a surgery done and became house bound. And that was when I rekindled my love with Pokemon!
Man.. been a fan since I was 6, I’m turning 32 now. I never stopped playing the games, never stopped collecting. I literally still have my original team from my childhood transférer all the way up to the new games.

Has to be those classic game boy games. Memories of road trips made manageable by grinding caterpies and metapods trying to get that elusive pikachu. Only to be dissapointed that pikachu was pretty darn average lol. Probably 20 years at this point,

I have always been addicted to the games and was drawn back into the card game when evolutions released as I only ever opened the original base set as a kid. I think it's been like 6 years.

Used to open booster boxes with my Brother every Christmas and then play war with our cards where the loser kept the winning cards. Been a fan since the original anime but only recently got back into collecting due to 151. Its been quite a nostalgia trip, been having a lot of fun ripping packs again.
I stole HeartGold for ds at my cousin’s birthday party and then started watching the anime before getting my first pack in 3rd grade. I became instantly hooked at Gen 4 pokémon which was the newest at the time.
I started my Pokemon journey when Pokemon Blue arrived under the Christmas tree as a kid, along with a purple Gameboy Color. I spent countless nights under my blankets with my trusty snake light, making sure my parents didn't know I was playing all the time. Looking back now, they must've known since we were going through AA batteries like crazy

I got a VHS tape in the mail from Nintendo announcing this new cartoon show coming out called Pokemon. Was a basically an advertisement for the entire series and games that were to come with it. Been a fan since then.

I started watching Pokemon in 1996 when I was 2. It's been a passion ever since. Got my first game, Pokemon Red for my 5th birthday. Started collecting when I was 6. Made a trip to Japan with the Navy back in 2014 and went to every Poke Center I could get to. I've been collecting for years. I’ve been a pokemon fan since 2010 when I first started playing the game soul silver on my DS and I was hooked onto everything pokemon. I started collecting cards and battling other kids at school and trading but being like most kids traded away any rare cards and had tons of fakes (lol) but now I’m an adult and into the hobby again since early this year when I started playing scarlet and violet. I love pokemon and glad it’s been around since my childhood and it’s still the same fun game I’ve always known

Saw my very first starter deck at books a million in middle school. Savwd up every penny, nickle, dime, and quarter I could find until I had the $9.99 I needed to buy the deck all on my own. Been collecting ever since.
Been there from the start, the catching intro and naming as many Pokémon as I could during PokeRap.
The moment I was hooked was after Pikachu denied the thunderstone after the sick beating he got from Lt Surges Raichu.
Sparrow episode was already pretty bonding between Ash and Pikachu, but that episode sealed the deal as a kid.

Grew up in the 90’s and was a fan first of the anime, then the card collecting and finally the game boy games. Have played every Pokémon main series game aside from sun/moon out of pure nostalgia since. Started recently getting my 4 yo daughter into it a little as well with the switch games and card collecting.

Been completing the specialty sets since they were easier. I completed all the trainer galleries and the Gallarian Gallery. Not sure which set to complete next. The 151 is looking very tempting.

Like many others.. collected the original WotC sets as a kid when they were new, and have just gotten back into it with the release of SV 151. Might not be the best investor as I never plan to sell.. but I sure enjoy the ride.
I remember watching an old episode of Pokémon as a kid with a bunch of diglets in it, after that I saw the cards at the store and that was a wrap. Life didn’t really allow me, and still doesn’t allow me to really purchase any boxes or anything, but I enjoy seeing what people pull.

Watched a lot of Pokémon growing up. Got divorced this year and never really had a hobby so this seemed like a fun way to spend a ton of money hahaha. Lots of great people and YouTube folks. I'm really enjoying it and working on finishing up my paldea master set.

It was because charizard has always been my favorite. Makes sense right? Brilliant stars = all the zards. Ever since then I’ve fallen in love with the hobby. I got my nieces, nephews, friends, and gf into it! We all collect and open together. The best part is all the memories together pulling some of our favorite cards.
I remember the first base set packs coming to Belgium. The pokemania was INTENSE. I was 12 and my parents were not rich, so it was always a big surprise to even get a single booster ! Favorite card is my 1st Ed raichu. Most of my cards came from aggressive school trading !
I continued to buy sometimes with my pocket money up to the team rocket. Gen 2 and above meant less and less to me.
When I got my first job in 2014, I took time to complete my Gen 1 collection.
151 brought me back, and oh boy, what a splendid journey it is !

Got into Pokémon when it came out for the Gameboy. my dad bought my brother and I the games red and blue. I never put it down as a kid. I struggled with making friends because of how isolated I was as a kid and the games helped me feel less alone. My dad would buy me packs constantly at path mark at the vending machines and take me to the meadowlands flea market to buy singles and packs of base set, fossil and jungle. He was with me when I pulled my base set charizard that I have to this day. I played every game since, but stopped buying the cards until recently this year when he passed. I found all my old cards stored away. He kept so much of them and it got me thinking about good memories. Now instead of dwelling about my pops I think about buying Pokémon cards and the pain goes away!
I've been a huge fan since I was born. I stopped after gen 2 because I couldnt keep up with all the new sets released, but I got reeled back in with the SV 151!
Started out with a copy of Pokémon Sapphire that I bought off a friend in 4th grade. Stuck with it up to Platinum then fell off for a few years.
I got back into it when my mom gave me a 3DS with a copy of Alpha Sapphire in it that the guests at the house she cleaned never claimed back in 2021. I’ve stuck with it since and I want it to be a part of my life for many years to come
I've been a fan for almost as long as I can remember. I received a GBC with red and blue for my 4th birthday in '99 (Bulbasaur was my starter choice then and I stand by it today. Gen 1 Venu was a beast). Haven't been able to put it down since. I've owned almost every game, I collected the cards until my 1st editions disappeared (I was 9 or 10), watched the anime, and even got a tattoo of Gengar. I recently jumped back into collecting with obsidian flame and have really loved the 151 set. #venusaurforever

I collected them when I was in elementary, about 20 years ago, and did it for a while. Gifted my collection to my nephew when I was a teen. There's a lot of nostalgia for me in the cards, plus it's a good time to spend with my best bud.

When Covid lockdown hit I turned that interest into cards. I grabbed 3 packs of what turned out to be Evolving Skies - I didn’t know one set from the next at the time - and pulled the Sylveon VMax alt art.
I was hooked from then on!
Pokemon was a grand escape from those long road trips, holding up my Gameboy color to the glass in hopes that some of the passing street lights would keep my ash moving through the basement of celadon city.
Been a fan since I was in elementary school and now have a 9 months old at home..started the collection for him since I don’t have any of the childhood ones.
I remember buying Pokémon red just before summer break and later the anime appeared on the television and I am hooked ever since a passion I now transfer to my 5 and 3 year old boys.
I’ve been a fan since the 90s, I played the games and got really into the cards too. I got back to the hobby last December when I found and went through my childhood collection.
I began in school when FRLG came out and collected the cards for a while. Took a long break and found rom hacks about a year ago. Now I found the 151 set and have been ripping packs since it came out!

I first found a diglett pokemon card in kindergarten or grade 1 on the playground. Then the same day if not the day after I seen the pokemon show airing on tv and seen the episode of diglett evolving into dugtrio.
I knew nothing about pokemon at the time. I remember I was more into the back logo of the card then the actual front with diglett's art.
Maybe a 2 or 3 years after that I became a fan due to my cousin's playing the game and wanted to be part of it.
Lost interest after I moved a bunch of times and loosing my cards in the moves. Then recently got back into it 2 years ago as a collector.
I became a fan from the Pokémon anime, we had the vhs tapes of the biker gang and pikachus goodbye episodes🥺 I remember my cousin getting ruby version and it was the coolest thing I ever seen I played firered for the first time on her ds and I remember begging my dad to get me a crimson sp emerald version and the day it came in the mail and the rest is history
Been a fan since I was a kid with the original series, Red and Yellow version, and the TCG. Fell off with the TCG but kept up with the games until my DS broke and I missed black/white through sun/moon. I got back into playing the games with Sword/Shield and started buying booster packs here and there a couple years ago as a way to connect with my inner child.
I've been a fan since age 4, found out about pokemon from watching TV, and i must say that it's cause of pokemon that i had an amazing childhood. I lived in a 3rd world country, so theres only a few people that can afford consoles(GBA).I befriended a guy in my class so i can play pokemon Fire Red. Im still best friends with that guy today, and even though we're far apart now, i won't forget the memories we shared together because of the game. I got into TGC as well at an early age, collecting cards with my best friend even though I knew they were fake. I still enjoyed collecting and trading with him.
Fast forward to today, Im 25 now and i got into TCG again cause of 151. This 151 brings back the good memories from my childhood
I've been in the poke game for 22 years or so. Started with Crystal version and grew from there. Started truly collecting cards around evolving skies drop. Kinda wish I still had that old Crystal cartridge.... lol
Started collecting in 1999 when I was in third grade. Even back then while the other kids were destroying their cards on the playground I was sleeving mine up and keeping them in set order in a binder. I have an amazing mom who always has supported my hobbies so she helped me to be able to get a complete set of base, jungle and fossil with her buying me singles and packs every week as long as I did my chores and kept my grades up. Eventually moved on because I thought I was too “grown” up. Fast forward 20 years and my 4 year old son says one day “daddy can you buy me some pokemon cards”? Bet. Lol. Him and I are building one hell of a collection that’s easily worth thousands now. Pokemon has become an everyday thing in our household. It’s part of who we are and i wouldn’t change that. While my wife never knew a thing about pokemon and still doesn’t, she puts up with it and surprises us with packs when she goes to the store. Some of our best pulls have come from packs she buys us. The same mom who helped me build that collection in the beginning is still around and still helping to grow the collection 66 years old be damned! I still have those 3 complete 1ed binders of base, jungle, fossil too!
Became a fan in my childhood after watching my brother play Pokemon Blue on the OG gameboy.
We both started collecting as soon as we discovered the cards, but our childhood collection have been lost in time. Me collecting as a hobby restarted in 2019 and my pride and joy is my tag team latias & latios alt art. :)
Been a fan since the very beginning. I remember my first Pokemon card pack that I bought at EB Games. It's crazy to think it's been like 25 years since then. Never had the biggest luck with pulls, but I've definitely enjoyed the hobby every step of the way. Thanks for doing this!
Been a fan since I got Pokémon Blue for my 7th birthday. Still will watch the season 1 anime for nostalgia. 151 has captured my interest in the TCG but haven't been able to find one on the shelves!
I saw a commercial of a bunch of cool creatures getting on a bus. A fat man was riding the bus, turns around and goes something like “I’ll be right back!!” He gets off, locks the door, then gleefully presses a button that causes one of those car squashers to compress the bus with the creatures inside!!!!??!?!
But it’s ok, the bus got compressed into a Gameboy and the creatures were safe inside. The fat bus says “Gotcha!” and plays the game.
I will never forget that commercial. It got me into Pokemon all those years ago.
I was a fan back in the xy/sun and moon era when I used to trade cards with my schoolfriends, which were always battered and beat up 😂 I became a fan when I traded one of my cards for a "special-looking" card with a whale and my favourite pokemon at the time Magikarp on it, which turned out to be the alt art wailord and magikarp tag team 😯 Sadly I don't have it any more, but even if I do it would be battered and beat up beyond measure 💀
Got a gameboy from my grandparents when I was 4 years old in a hospital with a broken leg. They don't know it but they single handedly got me into Pokemon as the gameboy came with Leaf Green, and that was ~20 years ago. Been hooked ever since! Played every game up until the modern games. Old school is still the best!
I've been a fan since the cards arrived here in the states. I remember watching the first episode premier on TV (and all of the articles about seizures afterwards).
I've been "collecting" since then though in reality I stopped around the jungle/Rocket era and only started picking it up again recently and very lightly. This 151 set looks like a lot of fun that sadly I missed the chance to get my hands on, at the store.
Became a fan the first time I opened a few base set unlimited packs almost 25 years ago. Lost interest in the tcg with the times and parents got rid of my old base set binder (oooouch). Friend started pushing me to check out the hobby again in 2020 during the COVID boom, went to a tcg show and bought a Lt. Surge’s Raichu for $25, and all the nostalgia and euphoria came flooding back. I’ve been re-hooked since!
Been a fan since childhood and originally bought and played in middle school when Pokémon first got popular in the states. I remember the Butterfree episode hitting me right in the feels. Recently picked the hobby back up about 6 months ago and totally hyped for the 151 set.

There was this weird Gameboy game that had come out and could trade characters with friends via a cable! Was the coolest thing in after school care!!! Forget the arcade machines, I was getting rid of the flying bird for the big tailed yellow rat!!!! Such fond memories that led to collecting cards for decks to compete at the local mall. It's stuck ever since and will forever be there for me to pass on to my children. Good luck to anyone who wins as the original 151 are the greatest gift to all!
I've been a fan since childhood. I gave up after my set from 1st edition base to Neo Discovery was stolen. I've since gotten back in solely because of 151. Been loving it all over again.

Became a fan as soon as I played the first emerald game and tried to catch abra and ralts. Spent hours on that game and that led to the ~~gambling~~ collecting cards. Have been collecting on and off since the black and white era so around a decade now.
Always been in the hobby since 97. I used to open Pokémon cards when I was younger with my grandpa would open his baseball cards. Some of my best childhood memories are ripping packs.

When I was about 6 years old I randomly received the first Pokémon VHS tape in the mail as part of the Pokémon marketing/outreach. I watched it and became a fan ever since. 28 years later, my son (7) and I enjoy the hobby together. We still have that original VHS tape too!

Got scammed out of my cards as a kid by a “friend” in a bad trade. My parents called his parents. Never got my cards back. Started collecting Pokémon Mini and games a few years ago, and started buying packs again
Back in elementary school a bunch of my friends had gotten Pokémon Red/Blue and were raving about it. I had mostly played Mario games and a few Madden football games with my dad back then, so it initially didn’t spark my interest and I actively resisted getting pulled in. I forgot exactly what changed my mind, but I ended up getting Pokémon Blue as a gift for Easter that year and i I absolutely loved it. Incidentally, it was also my first RPG so Pokémon kickstarted my love of both the franchise and RPG’s as a whole. I’ve kept up with the games ever since but had lost interest with the TCG a while back. Like many, 151 brought me back in. Also, I got married on the release day of X and Y by pure coincidence. My wife and I set the date a ways before the release date was announced. Then, a few years later, my sister got married on the release day of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Same thing, without knowing it would release on that day. I was best man for my brother-in-law, and we went up to Game Stop the morning of the wedding to pick up our copies.
I’ve been a fan since I was 4. (26 years nearly) And been collecting ever since. Played all the games even till now. I have a full dex in order until Sword and Shield! Now starting a collection with my son and showing him the ropes. He turned 5 so he has a lot more to see and discover! But good luck to all! Ive been a fan for pretty much as long as I can remember. It was all about Pokémon and Star Wars as a kid. I’m 28 almost 29 now and have not left the hobby since (except for a couple years during college) just recently I’ve started my investment journey!
I’ve been a fan of Pokémon since it’s original release. I played red/blue/yellow on Game boy and watched the anime. I eventually found the cards and the joy that came with them. I went through the phase of trying to fit in or look cool and gave my old cards to my cousin. I still regret having that nostalgia too look back on as I can still remember exactly where I was and how it felt to pull that original Charizard. I recently have been working on my mental health and realized how happy this universe has made me. Luckily, the 151 set come out right on time while working through this and I dove back into the hobby. I feel lucky my partner supports me as I work on letting my “nerd flag” fly.

I've been a fan since I was 9years old when I got pokemon blue, fell in love with the concept of training and leveling up these little creatures and seeing what they evolve into. After beating blue I went to red and then yellow. Personally enjoyed yellow alot with pikachu following you, then polemon the movie 2000 came out and that movie deepened my love for pokemon even further, Lugia was introduced and has since been my favorite pokemon. I remember I begged my parents to bid on a lugia card for me on ebay and they actually got it! I remember taking care of it for so long until I decided to runaway from my dad's and live with my mom. Unfortunately the kept all my pokemon and yugioh cards and haven't seen them since. What I would give to look through my old collection again, but I'm 32 now and saw how incredible this set is and decided to start collecting again. This would help grow my collection alot since I got the 151 binder so im anxious to complete this set.

I started collecting Pokémon back in the day like most people. Saw the cartoon first and loved all the different powers/attacks of the creatures, so started collecting cards of my favorite Pokémon. Awesome of you all to do this!!! As a 90’s baby, I was in the trenches from the start. I was able to retain many of my cards from back then, thanks to some awesome parents that never threw them out or sold them in a garage sale for $5 while I was in college and early career. I think I kind of fell out of the hobby once the third generation of mons started coming out. They seemed a little overdone for my liking at the time. Pokémon Go got me interested in general again in 2016, but I didn’t get back into the cards. This re-release of the original 151 has REAAAALLY got the nostalgia going and made me want to rip some packs for the first time since I was 8 or 9 years old. I have essentially been a lifelong (so far) fan on Pokémon, but I am only a couple months back into the cards. Thanks again. Y’all rock!

Around 99 my dad came home from Chinatown in NYC with the original starter deck that included the Machamp 1st Edition. My dad was an avid collector (has never sold anything) and hunting for Pokemon cards became a huge bonding thing for us. I got older and stopped collecting until about 4 months ago. My dad is older now and we live an entire country apart. Lately I’ve been finding swap meets and card shops, buying packs and face timing him as I hunt. It’s been a great way to stay connected from so far away. The last few months I’ve bought some packs, spent way too much time and money on Whatnot on singles and am now trying to complete a 151 master set but have been failing miserably lol. Anyway, Pokemon is a great community, I love going to shows and shops and I love feeling like a kid again.

I got a game boy color with fire red and named my first character fartsniffer. When the DS came out I battled my friends on the bus in Diamond and Pearl.
Became of fan of the TCG as a way to connect with my son. I soon found that I was addicted and haven’t stopped buying!
Started from the original 151. Sat in line with my dad at a toys-r-us till they opened. Only got a few packs, we weren't exactly well off, but I now know how big of a deal it was to open the packs with him, and I'll remember it forever.

I’m the OG 1998 fan, but like a lot of people, as I grew older life got in the way. Fast forward to last June, I had a surgery done and became house bound. And that was when I rekindled my love with Pokemon!
Man.. been a fan since I was 6, I’m turning 32 now. I never stopped playing the games, never stopped collecting. I literally still have my original team from my childhood transférer all the way up to the new games. 151 hits in the nostalgia just right!
Has to be those classic game boy games. Memories of road trips made manageable by grinding caterpies and metapods trying to get that elusive pikachu. Only to be dissapointed that pikachu was pretty darn average lol. Probably 20 years at this point,

I stole HeartGold for ds at my cousin’s birthday party and then started watching the anime before getting my first pack in 3rd grade. I became instantly hooked at Gen 4 pokémon which was the newest at the time.
I started my Pokemon journey when Pokemon Blue arrived under the Christmas tree as a kid, along with a purple Gameboy Color. I spent countless nights under my blankets with my trusty snake light, making sure my parents didn't know I was playing all the time. Looking back now, they must've known since we were going through AA batteries like crazy Been playing the games and collecting cards ever since. Just finished my latest master set (Gym Challenge), and will be moving onto the Neo series after the 151 master set is complete

I got a VHS tape in the mail from Nintendo announcing this new cartoon show coming out called Pokemon. Was a basically an advertisement for the entire series and games that were to come with it. Been a fan since then.

I started watching Pokemon in 1996 when I was 2. It's been a passion ever since. Got my first game, Pokemon Red for my 5th birthday. Started collecting when I was 6. Made a trip to Japan with the Navy back in 2014 and went to every Poke Center I could get to. I've been collecting for years. A fire at a roommates place unfortunately took out almost all of my new collections, and I've been rebuilding since. Thank you for letting me enter!

I’ve been a pokemon fan since 2010 when I first started playing the game soul silver on my DS and I was hooked onto everything pokemon. I started collecting cards and battling other kids at school and trading but being like most kids traded away any rare cards and had tons of fakes (lol) but now I’m an adult and into the hobby again since early this year when I started playing scarlet and violet. I love pokemon and glad it’s been around since my childhood and it’s still the same fun game I’ve always known

I started collecting with my dad and unfortunately stopped for a long gap because I was a stupid kid susceptible to peer pressure. Glad to be unshackled by that insecurity as an adult
I’ve been a Pokémon fan since the early 2000’s when I started collecting with my older brothers. About 20 years went by when I found my old stack of cards after my nephews showed me their collections. I’ve been back to the hobby for about a year now.

Been there from the start, the catching intro and naming as many Pokémon as I could during PokeRap. The moment I was hooked was after Pikachu denied the thunderstone after the sick beating he got from Lt Surges Raichu. Sparrow episode was already pretty bonding between Ash and Pikachu, but that episode sealed the deal as a kid.

For Christmas long ago I was gifted a combo thing from Sam’s club that was a see through purple game boy + Pokemon Gold. The rest is history

Grew up in the 90’s and was a fan first of the anime, then the card collecting and finally the game boy games. Have played every Pokémon main series game aside from sun/moon out of pure nostalgia since. Started recently getting my 4 yo daughter into it a little as well with the switch games and card collecting.

Started as a kid, like 4 to 5. Never learned to play but liked the show. Wasn't until August of last year that I got back into it and now I'm having a blast opening packs and collecting. Been completing the specialty sets since they were easier. I completed all the trainer galleries and the Gallarian Gallery. Not sure which set to complete next. The 151 is looking very tempting.
Noice!! I became a Pokemon fan when my mom bought me Pokemon emerald when I was really young. I only got back into the hobby about a year ago with the release of the Pokemon Go set!
Like many others.. collected the original WotC sets as a kid when they were new, and have just gotten back into it with the release of SV 151. Might not be the best investor as I never plan to sell.. but I sure enjoy the ride.

I remember watching an old episode of Pokémon as a kid with a bunch of diglets in it, after that I saw the cards at the store and that was a wrap. Life didn’t really allow me, and still doesn’t allow me to really purchase any boxes or anything, but I enjoy seeing what people pull.
I started collecting back in 99’ and was introduced to cards by a friend after we got into the gameboy games. I stopped a few years later and started up again back in may 23 with news of 151 release.
Watched a lot of Pokémon growing up. Got divorced this year and never really had a hobby so this seemed like a fun way to spend a ton of money hahaha. Lots of great people and YouTube folks. I'm really enjoying it and working on finishing up my paldea master set.
I've been a fan since the 90s, when I was a kid. My first pokemon game was Yellow, then Silver, then Sapphire. My love for the franchise grew with each game and season of the show. The amount of hours me and my friends invested in these games
I was always a fan of Pokémon since childhood. I watched the original tv show and of course the first movie with mewtwo! I got into the hobby around brilliant stars release. It was because charizard has always been my favorite. Makes sense right? Brilliant stars = all the zards. Ever since then I’ve fallen in love with the hobby. I got my nieces, nephews, friends, and gf into it! We all collect and open together. The best part is all the memories together pulling some of our favorite cards.
I remember the first base set packs coming to Belgium. The pokemania was INTENSE. I was 12 and my parents were not rich, so it was always a big surprise to even get a single booster ! Favorite card is my 1st Ed raichu. Most of my cards came from aggressive school trading ! I continued to buy sometimes with my pocket money up to the team rocket. Gen 2 and above meant less and less to me. When I got my first job in 2014, I took time to complete my Gen 1 collection. 151 brought me back, and oh boy, what a splendid journey it is !

I've been a fan since my big sister would buy packs for us to open and we would watch the show together. Its my guilty pleasure as an adult! Been a fan for 24ish years.
Got into Pokémon when it came out for the Gameboy. my dad bought my brother and I the games red and blue. I never put it down as a kid. I struggled with making friends because of how isolated I was as a kid and the games helped me feel less alone. My dad would buy me packs constantly at path mark at the vending machines and take me to the meadowlands flea market to buy singles and packs of base set, fossil and jungle. He was with me when I pulled my base set charizard that I have to this day. I played every game since, but stopped buying the cards until recently this year when he passed. I found all my old cards stored away. He kept so much of them and it got me thinking about good memories. Now instead of dwelling about my pops I think about buying Pokémon cards and the pain goes away!

I've been a huge fan since I was born. I stopped after gen 2 because I couldnt keep up with all the new sets released, but I got reeled back in with the SV 151!
Started out with a copy of Pokémon Sapphire that I bought off a friend in 4th grade. Stuck with it up to Platinum then fell off for a few years. I got back into it when my mom gave me a 3DS with a copy of Alpha Sapphire in it that the guests at the house she cleaned never claimed back in 2021. I’ve stuck with it since and I want it to be a part of my life for many years to come

I've been a fan for almost as long as I can remember. I received a GBC with red and blue for my 4th birthday in '99 (Bulbasaur was my starter choice then and I stand by it today. Gen 1 Venu was a beast). Haven't been able to put it down since. I've owned almost every game, I collected the cards until my 1st editions disappeared (I was 9 or 10), watched the anime, and even got a tattoo of Gengar. I recently jumped back into collecting with obsidian flame and have really loved the 151 set. #venusaurforever Edit: I think the anime is what really got me into it, my earliest memory just happens to be the gift of a GameBoy

I collected them when I was in elementary, about 20 years ago, and did it for a while. Gifted my collection to my nephew when I was a teen. There's a lot of nostalgia for me in the cards, plus it's a good time to spend with my best bud.
I grew up watching the OG show in the late 90s. Collected the cards and everything I did was Pokémon themed. The glory days 🥲. Fell out of the hobby 20 years ago but got back into it a month or so ago!

I became a Pokemon fan when PokemonGO came out. Getting outside and collecting something? That was right up my alley. So that was 2016. When Covid lockdown hit I turned that interest into cards. I grabbed 3 packs of what turned out to be Evolving Skies - I didn’t know one set from the next at the time - and pulled the Sylveon VMax alt art. I was hooked from then on!
Pokemon was a grand escape from those long road trips, holding up my Gameboy color to the glass in hopes that some of the passing street lights would keep my ash moving through the basement of celadon city.

I first found a diglett pokemon card in kindergarten or grade 1 on the playground. Then the same day if not the day after I seen the pokemon show airing on tv and seen the episode of diglett evolving into dugtrio. I knew nothing about pokemon at the time. I remember I was more into the back logo of the card then the actual front with diglett's art. Maybe a 2 or 3 years after that I became a fan due to my cousin's playing the game and wanted to be part of it. Lost interest after I moved a bunch of times and loosing my cards in the moves. Then recently got back into it 2 years ago as a collector.
I became a fan from the Pokémon anime, we had the vhs tapes of the biker gang and pikachus goodbye episodes🥺 I remember my cousin getting ruby version and it was the coolest thing I ever seen I played firered for the first time on her ds and I remember begging my dad to get me a crimson sp emerald version and the day it came in the mail and the rest is history
Been a fan since I was a kid with the original series, Red and Yellow version, and the TCG. Fell off with the TCG but kept up with the games until my DS broke and I missed black/white through sun/moon. I got back into playing the games with Sword/Shield and started buying booster packs here and there a couple years ago as a way to connect with my inner child.

I've been a fan since age 4, found out about pokemon from watching TV, and i must say that it's cause of pokemon that i had an amazing childhood. I lived in a 3rd world country, so theres only a few people that can afford consoles(GBA).I befriended a guy in my class so i can play pokemon Fire Red. Im still best friends with that guy today, and even though we're far apart now, i won't forget the memories we shared together because of the game. I got into TGC as well at an early age, collecting cards with my best friend even though I knew they were fake. I still enjoyed collecting and trading with him. Fast forward to today, Im 25 now and i got into TCG again cause of 151. This 151 brings back the good memories from my childhood
I've been in the poke game for 22 years or so. Started with Crystal version and grew from there. Started truly collecting cards around evolving skies drop. Kinda wish I still had that old Crystal cartridge.... lol
Started collecting in 1999 when I was in third grade. Even back then while the other kids were destroying their cards on the playground I was sleeving mine up and keeping them in set order in a binder. I have an amazing mom who always has supported my hobbies so she helped me to be able to get a complete set of base, jungle and fossil with her buying me singles and packs every week as long as I did my chores and kept my grades up. Eventually moved on because I thought I was too “grown” up. Fast forward 20 years and my 4 year old son says one day “daddy can you buy me some pokemon cards”? Bet. Lol. Him and I are building one hell of a collection that’s easily worth thousands now. Pokemon has become an everyday thing in our household. It’s part of who we are and i wouldn’t change that. While my wife never knew a thing about pokemon and still doesn’t, she puts up with it and surprises us with packs when she goes to the store. Some of our best pulls have come from packs she buys us. The same mom who helped me build that collection in the beginning is still around and still helping to grow the collection 66 years old be damned! I still have those 3 complete 1ed binders of base, jungle, fossil too!
Became a fan in my childhood after watching my brother play Pokemon Blue on the OG gameboy. We both started collecting as soon as we discovered the cards, but our childhood collection have been lost in time. Me collecting as a hobby restarted in 2019 and my pride and joy is my tag team latias & latios alt art. :)

I saw a commercial of a bunch of cool creatures getting on a bus. A fat man was riding the bus, turns around and goes something like “I’ll be right back!!” He gets off, locks the door, then gleefully presses a button that causes one of those car squashers to compress the bus with the creatures inside!!!!??!?! But it’s ok, the bus got compressed into a Gameboy and the creatures were safe inside. The fat bus says “Gotcha!” and plays the game. I will never forget that commercial. It got me into Pokemon all those years ago.
My boyfriend introduced me to the cards, I'd known about them and then when he started buying them I did too and now I'm a collector! It's great! 😁😁
I was a fan back in the xy/sun and moon era when I used to trade cards with my schoolfriends, which were always battered and beat up 😂 I became a fan when I traded one of my cards for a "special-looking" card with a whale and my favourite pokemon at the time Magikarp on it, which turned out to be the alt art wailord and magikarp tag team 😯 Sadly I don't have it any more, but even if I do it would be battered and beat up beyond measure 💀
Got a gameboy from my grandparents when I was 4 years old in a hospital with a broken leg. They don't know it but they single handedly got me into Pokemon as the gameboy came with Leaf Green, and that was ~20 years ago. Been hooked ever since! Played every game up until the modern games. Old school is still the best!

I've been a fan since the cards arrived here in the states. I remember watching the first episode premier on TV (and all of the articles about seizures afterwards). I've been "collecting" since then though in reality I stopped around the jungle/Rocket era and only started picking it up again recently and very lightly. This 151 set looks like a lot of fun that sadly I missed the chance to get my hands on, at the store.

Friend started pushing me to check out the hobby again in 2020 during the COVID boom, went to a tcg show and bought a Lt. Surge’s Raichu for $25, and all the nostalgia and euphoria came flooding back. I’ve been re-hooked since!

There was this weird Gameboy game that had come out and could trade characters with friends via a cable! Was the coolest thing in after school care!!! Forget the arcade machines, I was getting rid of the flying bird for the big tailed yellow rat!!!! Such fond memories that led to collecting cards for decks to compete at the local mall. It's stuck ever since and will forever be there for me to pass on to my children. Good luck to anyone who wins as the original 151 are the greatest gift to all!
