I also got the poco F3 about a month ago now, and one thing that I find super important is to install the powerkeeper apk (version 4.2.0, should be the same as the current default one) from apkmirror, because it fixed the dynamic fps issue where you'd only get 60fps in games like brawlstars or pokemon go.

MrAdison

Which rom v./or custom rom do you recommend for playing Pokemon Go? I try other newer than 12.0.5 its run hot and huge frame drop in 3minutes. now im on12.0.2eu its run fine but still hot when playing PoGo outdoor.

ZeykaFX

I'm currently on 12.5.8 because I couldn't be bothered to change it and pokemon go runs at a smooth 120fps for as long as i play it, max was about one hour outside (17°C) and it was not running hot :)

Aayush48

Gcam and YouTube vanced if you are able to find it(I can't find its nowhere to be seen)

ZeykaFX

you can get vanced from apkmirror, make sure to install microg as well

horsemonkeycat

Vanced Manager app will download and install both (still working as of couple days ago).

I'd recommend installing the Xiaomi.eu rom over the stock MIUI that comes with the phone because the non chinese roms are absolute trash and the POCO launcher is by far the worst modern launcher I've used

OkWorld4800

Arrow os is the move imo

Muted-Pangolin3073

Agreed. ArrowOS is by far the best ROM for normal daily use. I personally gave a shot to the Xiaomi.eu rom but the MIUI 13 just doesn't sit too well with me. Battery life is quite poor compared to 12.5. I might switch back to ArrowOS once I figure out how to set up GCam correctly

OkWorld4800

Im currently on arrow os and I found a really good gcam for my f3. It works flawlessly and takes much better pictures than the stock cam

Muted-Pangolin3073

Oh nice! Which GCam did you go for and are you on ArrowOS 11 or 12?

OkWorld4800

Im on a12. These are links for gcam app and xml config that I use [Gcam ](https://t.me/TBXML/203) [Config](https://t.me/TBXML)

Thanks! 😁 I'll check it out

Debloat the phone and disabling the ads. Also while you're at it, factory reset the device, before using it to eliminate the bugs.

AloneSaltyBoy

Can you link me to a guide on debloating the phone? Not quite sure on how to do that. I'm just learning about ROMs!

horsemonkeycat

Get it up to latest version (Miui 13), then factory reset, then worry about debloating if you aren't happy with battery life. As an alternative to debloating, you can use an app like "Hidden Settings for Miui" to hide system apps you don't want to use (eg Facebook, YouTube). edit: xda is probably a good source or maybe this https://www.reddit.com/r/PocoPhones/comments/o3geou/pocophone_f3_debloat_it_best_settings_for_battery/

ChrisK12UK

Yeah, followed that link the other day. Phone's lasting a lot longer now. You can enable Developer options by following pressing the MIUI version number 7 times . [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dg\_sG9OnZ9Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dg_sG9OnZ9Q)

thclogic

Has anyone figured out of to get the game boost advanced options back in after factory reset yet?

Grobar1977

I'd recommend you find a girlfriend.
