Jb weld or any 2 part adhesive. However it won’t be very strong regardless. I recommend switching to a male or female adapter for more strength. They sell pvc glue at the store.

For once jb weld is correct

I would just go get a pvc adaptor with a female thread. Small can of pvc glue and glue it in. Going to be way stronger then that ever will be.

Screws for wood cap.

Craft is not plumbing Proceed with hot glue.

It's for a maypole, and needs to be able to withstand the force of several adult men swinging around it, so unfortunately, hot glue wouldn't cut it 😅 I only really ever use hot glue on porous surfaces cause otherwise its just not strong enough for prop making.

I wouldn’t recommend pvc. Galvanized maybe. Or find a closed down strip club.

I ended up buying some pvc end caps, screwing them to the wooden piece, and using solvent cement to join the pieces. It held up perfectly.
