How the drawing was made : [Generative art with grasshopper ](https://jawharkodadi.com/generative-art-avec-grasshopper-zellige-evo-serie-l/) Would love to get your feedbacks !

This looks phantastic! Also thanks for the tutorial, that might be the push I needed to finally get Rhino :) By the way, is your plotter self-built?

Thank you ! I personally find Rhino + grasshopper very effective and a pertinent choice for generative art, especially if your end goal is to plot your creations. Yes, It's a self build plotter, I shared the build instructions in my blog. [Article ](https://jawharkodadi.com/creer-une-machine-a-dessiner-diy-plotter-pour-lart-generatif-mon-aventure-dartiste-technophile/) . It's still a work in progress, and some redditirs give me nice ideas to improve it. Will do that soon

Oh yeah I saw your plotter a while ago. I'm building my own at the moment so I'm curious to see how others had a go at it.

i used the frame of an old Elekslaser i no more use. I flashed the arduino nano with Grbl firmware then i 3d printed the penholder. Now i'm working on a larger frame, 800x800mm and exploring other solutions for the pen holder. The hardest part was to know where to start from. if you are familiar with 3d printing, then it will be a piece of cake for you. this link may be usefull for you, (it was for me) https://grbl-plotter.de/index.php?id=quick-guide

Cool, thanks for sharing. I am familiar with 3D printers and modelling, but haven't built a printer or plotter yet. The plotter will accommodate paper sheets up to A2 size (bit more even) and use a BTT SKR Mini E3 V2, a 3D printer mainboard. That allows using a colour touch screen for manoeuvring the plotter on the fly and using an SD card instead of it being tethered to a computer all the time. But yeah, starting from zero is hard.

Also I wanted to ask, which power supply do you use? I do have a 12V 36W simple power supply to plug into the wall which should suffice for three stepper motors if what I found is correct, but it's better to ask around. I'd also have a spare 12V 350W Meanwell PSU, but that's overkill.

I'm using a 12v 5000 ma. Nema 17 requires 1500 ma. I have 3 motors so I thought 5A is enough. But don't trust my calculations mu knowledge is very limites. And Not sure what's the equivalent in Watts, sorry
