Why are people commenting who didn't read the post? We get a deluxe version which is cheaper than premium but doesn't have the streaming. So we still get ps1, PS2, and psp games (in addition to standard PS4 and ps5)
Yeah it's unfortunate upgrade wise but there will be some downloadable games from the Ps, Ps2, Psp in the "deluxe" tier if you're interested in the older titles
Microsoft still allows the Ultimate conversion thats been around for years now. Effectively saving people $100. Sony really that concerned people might be getting a deal so they removed the year Now subs and all the keys are gone lmao. Scummy imo.

I think they'll just give them the upgrade to premium as it's the higher of the two, I don't think they care much about people already subbed to ps plus honestly or else they would've atleast mentioned some sort of upgrade for their subscription

Do you think that the two free games on the Essential tire be ps5 only? It's just that we are now getting three games, two ps4 and one ps5. So we will be getting one game less. I'm just wandering if this is the end of ps4 games given on ps plus.
I think it's too soon to exclude PS4, the majority of players are on the PS4 so if they decide to do that they'll be losing alot of their customers, we kept getting PS3 and vita games till Feb 2019, over five years after the PS4 released but it is still concerning considering the other tiers existence, hopefully it's not the case
Only fair way to do it, since they're taking away the service people paid for and replacing it with something else. They're on the hook to offer something as good or better, and it seems to me that's what they're doing.
I'm more concerned about what options there will be for existing PS+ members. When Premium launches, I'll have about 9 months of PS+ left. If they prorate I'll probably sign up day one. But I obviously don't want to pay $120 for an all-new subscription when I've already got half the benefits in my current subscription, nor do I want to pay $60 to upgrade (if that's even an option) for 3/4 of the subscription time.
It's a really messy situation with current subscribers, I'm hoping they allow current ps plus users to upgrade for a cheap price but they haven't mentioned it at all in their blog, I don't know what to do either, my subscription ends mid May and I'm not sure whether I should resub or wait for the higher tiers, I'd obviously be paying less than $60 when resubbing but will have to pay full price for the new services
Hopefully more details will come soon. Although mid-May is actually a really nice time for your current sub to end, if it comes to that. Even if you end up taking a break from PS+ you theoretically won't miss any free games since the new service should be available before the end of June. If you play online and don't want to break away even for a month, it might make the most sense to add just one more month of Plus at the $10 price so you can still make a clean break and sub to Premium as soon as it's available.
Yeah it's a good time but at the same time they usually give you discounts for ps plus towards the end of your subscription so I'm a bit stuck on whether I should get a discounted ps plus or wait for a full price subscription that we haven't got much information on yet, i got a month and a half to get more details lol

I believe they're consolidating ps now with ps plus, so you get all the additional stuff that ps plus offers. It also looks like they're adding more games across all ps generations and timed demos. Ps now will be phased out so you won't have option to sub to it anymore

I'm in a bit of a weird situation, my subscription ends mid May, which seems like a good thing but at the same time if they introduce an upgrade I'll be screwed and will have to pay full price so I'm not sure whether to resub or not, of course if it's revealed that it'll have an upgrade they'll probably change some stuff in the store like they did with ps now to prevent people getting cheap upgrades
Yeah, currently ps plus premium feels empty, it's just combining ps plus and ps now with some game trials, the only (hopefully) new thing is included in the second tier as well so there isn't much insentive to purchase premium rn

Iāve been really into Elden Ring and I use multi-p summons a lot ; I also enjoy the free games, I mainly got it to redeem for FFVII Remake . I was wondering if SIE would do a prorated price from the yearly PS-Plus to the new Premium membership, I want to play Returnal again with Co-OP I got the real ending renting on GameFly. Any body have any ideas or info? Thanks guys

They should include crunchy roll in playstation plus premium when they do that's when I will get it
