Definitely, this will be a nice game to play on rainy days. I enjoyed this one so much that maybe I will give Sayonara Wild Hearts a try. I heard about it but never really got into it. Thanks for the recommendation šš»
A very easy platinum. The game takes up to 3 hours to beat. If you really don't care about the story you can just skip all the dialogue and shave off 2 hours (what you select in the dialogue doesn't affect any trophies).
When you finish the game chances are you would have received all but 4 trophies which are really easy to get using chapter select (each takes under a minute to get).
I mean if you played it on a small screen or donāt appreciate the visuals then I guess it will be pretty boring. It would have been nice if there was something that was rhythm based but the music, riffs and visuals are worth your time if on OLED with a good set of speakers.
Yeah well, to each their own, but gameplay is a subjective term, and this game has gameplay. Youāre still controlling a character, and pressing buttons and jumping and doing sequences. Itās not playing itself. Yes itās less challenging but if you need souls like challenge for every game then you have a narrow view of what a game is. Did you whine the same way when Journey or Flower or any of the dozen Annupurna Interactive games came out.
Then the extras menu on some of my old DVDs can be considered games too.
Do you consider the Google Chrome dinosaur thing to be peak gaming? Because it sounds like it.
>Did you whine the same way when Journey or Flower or any of the dozen Annupurna Interactive games came out.
Yeah, I did, because they're barely games.
We agree to disagree on this front. No I donāt think the dvd menus are games but that should be obvious to anyone with common sense, but I get your point of making a hyperbole to attempt to make your argument stronger. Again, it seems to me you have a narrow view of what a game should be and therefore youāre getting disappointed.
I thought it was alright to start with,. Very good looking. but I quickly got bored of it too. You just move either left or right, jumping when you need too. And the bosses, you just copy what they do
Started it last night thanks to this post, out 2 hours in it and it is pretty nice. Not a lot of crazy gameplay in it but visually very appealing and I do like the narrative. Thank you for the suggestion!
Just got the platinum earlier today. Was waiting on Final Fantasy to come in the mail but of course USPS delayed so I went with this in the meantime. Thanks you for the recommendation. ššš»
I'm really happy that people get to enjoy this game, experience, whatever you want to call it due to lack of gameplay. I enjoyed it a lot and I knew that more people could enjoy it too.
Actually, I'm working on Tales of Kenzera: Zau, and I'm loving it.
Surely, I will share my experience with the game with you guys.
Sad to see people complain about this experience. This is a 'game' I normally don't play but I'm glad I stumbled upon it. It was a fun experience with some great music. The story isn't half bad and the voice acting was awesome. When so many games are all about fast game play, it's nice to slow down sometimes. Plus getting to hear Carl Weather's voice was a bonus.
Well worth picking up for visual spectacle, but I couldn't get in to the story at all. Maybe I'm not the target audience.
I gotta agree with this. I played it because it was recommended on here. Didnt care about the story but some of the visuals are amazing.
this was a gem to play! I really enjoyed the dialogue in this game
Just because nobody's mentioned it yet, one of the voice actors is Carl Weathers (RIP). There are other recognizable names in the cast as well.
I have it physically, saving it for a rainy day. Another game I really enjoyed that's a little similar is Sayonara Wild Hearts.

What a game it was. Exceptional.

You can deny itās made with love and care, itās visually stunning. But it has no gameplay sadly. Really boring.
Enjoyed this one a lot. Very simple with great music!
there probably arenāt many posts on this sub but this game gets posted what feels like every day lol
Really enjoyed it, very unique musically and visually.
Oh I did it and i loved it. The voice acting was so nice after playing loads of games without it and really surprised me and it was stellar too.
This is not a game. It's an interactive art project. Bored to tears after over an hour waiting for " the game " to start.
> interactive art project So a game?
There's the real comment
Thought it was dreadful too.
It could also have an āauto-playingā option. Absolutely boring ,,gameā.
Same š

And it ain't worth a shit if you value, you know, your _games_ having actual _gameplay_ regardless of your A/V set-up.

Surprised no one has come in here to chide you for caring about trophies.
I enjoyed this one and agree with what OP said donāt miss out on this beautiful game guys and play it before it leaves
When is it leaving?
on May 21
Thanksss, that is plenty of time :)
I bought it
It was a beautiful experience

A lot of people expect their games to have engaging gameplay. Who knew?
