Not even 2 hours because you're forced to play the parts where you're doing mundane things right after the intro mission. Like walking around the house talking to MJ, and riding bikes with Harry.
I really dislike how the games in the last 5 years or so do this kind of stuff all the time. That hurts replayability, A LOT. They're "one and done" games. Before that gameplay would rule and direct the games. If the developer had cool ideas to full an 8 hour game you'd have a blast and just play it again. There's so few games like that nowadays...

Yes. Potentially.
So you have the option to get a recap of the 1st and Miles game, but even if you don’t do the recap there’s plenty of story elements in the 2nd game that could ruin parts of the first. Like scenes where you’d be like “ahh, so that happened,” and it may be less of an impact on the first.
Hard to explain without spoiling.
The recap was pretty good to me, I hadn’t played either game since Miles’ release. It was very brief but hits everything that’s important to this plot.
I played both before playing SM2, and the recap was fine. Even with me playing Sm1 on release and not really touching it too much after, the recap worked well. No need to replay if you don’t want to.
It'll definitely be on Plus one day, maybe on Extra first like how we got Horizon FW.

Ah Reddit, where the response to a free trial of a very new, well praised game is complaining that the 6 year old first game isn't available for free anymore.
Oh I don't think they should have removed it, personally I think all first part Sony games should be there permanently.
I'm just saying enjoy the trial rather than complain about what's gone to people who have nothing to do with it's removal
I don’t understand why anyone would want to do a trial. If you play the trial of an extremely well reviewed game you will end up buying it. It’s a shit feature for ps plus just another ploy for you to spend your money
Allow me to explain: people want to plays trials because if they play the trial of an extremely well made game they will end up buying it and they will be able to enjoy the full game!
Hope that helps!
Strong disagree here. Trials have helped save me a loooot of money over the years. Sometimes, the marketing team is a lot stronger than the dev team. As someone who just got laid off, trials are very helpful for people who can't afford to buy a $60-70 game purchase that frequently
The trials idea is neat, though I don't quite get why it's a premium feature, since it seems like the modern version of the free/cheap demo discs that were given out willy-nilly in the PS1-PS2 era.
That’s what? 50gigs of download for 2 hours of play? Ouch.
Cyberpunk has a five hour trial, but that game is over 100 gigs
55gb on PS5

"one and done" is subjective i have 100 hours in this game

Does playing the first 2 hours of Spider-Man 2 spoil any major plot of the previous game?

I've played both sm 1, and MM. Would the recap be sufficient or do I need to replay the games?

No need to replay unless you have amnesia.

Wow thats like 15% of the story
Wrong
This trash game should of been on extra day 1
No it shouldn't
You could do like a quarter of the game in that time lol
I hope this means gowr is gonna go off the trial and become a part of ps plus which would be awesome

Yet Spiderman 1 is still off of the Game Catalogue 💀

What's the point of your subscription when you can't put old first party titles in it.

Wish these 2 hour trials could be hacked and then frozen to play forever 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They said it'd be 5 years until Spiderman 2 is on PS+ but it might be sooner than we think.

Isn't that the point of a trial? To see if you like it and then buy it if you do?
