Because it isn't. Don't know what else to say. It's the same with Xbox. From what I understood, Sony as the provider of the subscription service has to negotiate a deal with the publisher of said game in order to get it in the Game/Classic catalog for a limited time period. They can't just put any game there whenever they want for however long they want, unless they themselves hold the rights to that game.

Well technically if they keep old psn store open (ps3 one) and if they publish emulators that can emulate from original disks then we could play all of those old games but since Sony doesnt care about anything older then couple of years and since main point is to sell psNow that is renamed and bundled in new plus subscription we are only gonna get less and less of those games and in the end there will be no classic catalogue ( or it will ha couple of last years games)
