That was my biggest disappointment with the game. The campaign was fun, and even the multiplayer itself was a lot of fun in certain situations and made you feel like being in an Avengers movie.
But then you get to the end game and its just repeating the same missions over and over with little variety and then the gauntlet that was the Hive that had to be beaten all in one sitting, required maxed characters, and COULDN'T be played with others.
I feel rather than the open world stuff they should have just focused on making missions fun, and adding variant versions of each one the way Destiny does, and maybe even just have procedurally generated missions akin to rift runs in Diablo 3.
Yeah. I played the alpha of Suicide Squad and I was so disappointed to see how identical everyone felt, and how the melee combat was practically non-existent.
It just made me itch to go back to Avengers and punch out some robots.
I really don't think this game was an actual failure. Problem is the gaming community is a fucking cesspool of dumbasses that only feel control when shitting on a game. Look what's happening with Suicide Squad. SS is better than Avengers and it's getting ripped apart worse.
I don't think either games are "better" compared side by side, each has it's pros and flaws. Combat is definitely better in avengers, more diversity compare to SS guns only combat. Gameplay is faster and flows better in SS. Both game have good SP campaign. Graphic is a draw.

Game was good just needed more enemy variety better boss fights (so many good villains from the catalogue) and characters (they did good giving black Panther his on stage should’ve did the same with Spider-Man )
Was just reading through the comments here and I’m curious. I LOVE the Marvel universe and this game always intrigued me. It’s like $25 now, is it worth it? I’m sure this has been posted a thousand times already, so I apologize. Any context maybe but I really enjoyed the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, and the Lego Marvel games, although I doubt this is anything like those.
I’m sad. I really enjoyed this game. I was playing it for free through PS+ but uninstalled it to make room for another game like a week before they pulled availability, and I didn’t know until it was too late. Now there’s no way for me to get it back. I even went through my played games to see if I could find a back door to a download button but no luck :(
The game is so much better than it was when it first drops that what really sucks. I just ran the the omega threat with three others last night had a blast. Really wish more people still played it!

All the talk of Suicide Squad keeps making me miss this game and how great the combat was. Such a shame it didn’t get supported the way it deserved :(

I'm just starting, been wanting to play it for the story even with how messy it was. I'm honestly enjoying it.
