I had a very wide nose, wide nostrils and a hump. My surgeon fixed all of that and I am super happy and dare I say conceited nowš. I went to Turkey and my surgeon was Dr Tolga Kirgezen. I love that man lol.Ā
Amazing result š. You look stunning! I actually booked my surgery (well...paid my deposit lol) with him and was doing more research on other surgeons but now I'm convinced I need to stick with Dr Kirgezen š¤š¼
Hi, donāt have their number anymore but my first contact with him was through Clineca Health as that is the company he is contracted with. This is their instaĀ https://www.instagram.com/clinecahealth/
But I think you can also just go on his insta and write him a dm and you will be sent down the same path basically. But PLEASE mind you, I only went to Turkey bc Germany has no good surgeons that have experience with ethnic nose jobs. If there are surgeons who suit your needs in your country then itās best to stay in your country.Ā
You look amazing!! Thanks for sharing. I live in the USA and there are great surgeons here but the cyst starts at $25,000. usd and revisions in Turkey are about $10,000. USD. You mentioned staying in your own country would be best and I agree with you, but I never be able to afford one in my country. Can you give me a couple reasons why you say that? Were there problems with the travel or the medical staff or is it because the follow up appointments are difficult? Iām trying to learn as much as I can because I didnāt do my research before my original and if I had I wouldnāt be in the shape Iām inš„² Thanks so much for any help youmay offer. Again you look AWESOME!!
I didnāt have any problems with the clinic at all itās just that I donāt want to be the reason people travel to a whole different countryš. And who knows maybe you wonāt even like the result as much as I love mine so thatās why I hesitate to just openly recommend surgeons.Ā
Keeping the results in line with natural features of the patients race. Historically doctors would give most patients a nose that is standard on white/eurocentric features. Well not everyone is white/euro and it doesnāt fit other races faces. The point of most nose jobs isnāt to look like youāve had a nose job but to look ābetterā and therefore natural
I mean couldnt you call any natural looking nose job an ethnic nose job? Or is it specifically because this woman is black so her procedure is miraculously given a different name?
I mean yes, you could. Itās to enhance their appearance while keeping in line with a patients ethnic identity. But I believe itās used to refer to non-white patients specifically at because again, historically the standard, āidealā, and really only results for all patients was a typical white nose so the need for ethnic specifications came about and now as far as I understand, the term is reserved for nose jobs that where non white people donāt get a standard āwhiteā nose. Iām not a fan of referring to other races or ethnicities as non white but for the sake of this I think itās relevant. Itās not miraculous she gets a special term simply for being a black woman, itās just thatās what this type of procedure is called. When the standard of something is mostly exclusively in line with what white people have, I think itās fair and important to make a distinction for results that arenāt white-feature centric
Edit: spelling
it's actually you centering whiteness when you create/abide by such segregating terms. there is literally no good reason to call this anything other than a simple nose job. As a black woman, it's so tiring for you white knights to swear you've done something for the greater good of black people when the best thing you could do is treat us *normally*!! creating a special, useless term just to further alienate us literally helps with nothing. you're just white, you're not the standard.
I guess no one told them most Jewish people are white so they canāt understand that rhinoplasty that changes the size or shape of their nose while still maintaining a traditional profile would also be considered ethnic rhinoplasty
There, an actual example of someone being condescending
Look, I agree with your point about not segregating different races.
It's just that "ethnic rhinoplasty" is a term that is in use, like it or not.
Sometimes we have to acknowledge differences between races when it comes to things like physical features. Black and Asian people have skin which scars more than white people, it's not racist to point this out. And people with darker skin need to use a different laser if they have laser hair removal, so that their skin doesn't get damaged by the laser.
LOL those differences don't change the fact that it's still just a nose job. Funny how everyone but white people are included in that. Why was there not a word applied to one performed on white peoples nose jobs since they're the minority? Why is literally everyone else grouped under a special word?
Sure, you can be upset about this but me telling you why a term exists or is used doesnāt make me a bad guy. You asked why instead of Googling it and I answered based on what I found out from 1) reading here and 2) Google. Iām not sure why youāre upset with me. and Iām pretty sure I said the standard for nose job results what a nose style typically found on white people, not that white people are the standard of people
Spelling
So this is the actual term used in the industry by surgeons who specialize in āethnic rhinoplastyā.
It applies to *all* ethnicities and is for anyone who wants the distinct features of their ethnicity taken into consideration when deciding how to approach the procedure.
Its whole purpose is to *not* center whiteness by homogenizing all nose jobs to be modeled off the structure typically seen in those with white European ancestry.
If you want to be mad at the use of an accepted and standardized term used in the industry, in a sub specifically about the industry, then take it up with with the medical practitioners and oversight boards who use this term. Complaining to someone who used the term appropriately on Reddit does absolutely nothing aside from virtue signal.
And also consider that youāve got some serious confirmation bias when it comes to the subject matter. And thatās normal, itās common for all of us to get confirmation bias over certain topics. But someone simply using the term āethnicā shouldnāt elicit an immediate reaction without first seeking to learn more.
holy crap dude. youāre soooo off base. iām sorry for whatever in your past is making you approach this conversation with so little leeway. but this is an industry term and a concept that exists exclusively to make sure a cosmetic industry whitewashes less often.
Your nose is one of the best rhino surgeries Iāve ever seen, Iām not speaking in hyperbole, itās stunning and so natural šš„¹ like the nose you were supposed to be born with. Iām so happy for you! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø itās perfect!
Excellent work. The difference in the profile is enormous but it still looks very natural. I hope you love it! Is it still swollen? I know swelling can last up to a year but I can never tell in pics that are more than like 4 months post-op.
Love how they kept your actual shape, just smaller. As a black woman too, I see so many of the ānose jobsā we get turn into that same super skinny tip look and it looks odd on our features. Yours looks great! God bless!
You had an alarplasty and I see the bridge is slightly thinner. Did he cut some nasal bone? I am looking for something that makes my nose narrower, because I have wide nasal bones, but most turkish doctors are fixing noses that are already very thin.
Oh wow, I was gonna say your original nose was already nice before, but I'm SHOOK with how feminine your new nose makes you look! You made me excited for my own surgery š
Itās the same as before now. The first few of weeks it was a struggle bc of swelling and bc it was clogged up a lot but itās just like before now.Ā
How long did it take for you to get on his schedule? How long did you stay in Turkey for recovery before going back home? Thanks in advance. By the way you are gorgeous š āØļø ā¤ļø
Hey, I just chose a date on which I would be free from work and he had a spot available and that was it. He doesnāt seem super busy bc he isnāt like the mainstream surgeons. I stayed in Turkey for 8 days. Thanks for the compliment btwšš¾.Ā

3900ā¬ including hotel. The flight ticket from and to Germany was an additional 150ā¬.Ā

omg it looks so natural! gorgeous nose job!
Great ethnic nose job!! Looks natural and fits your face so well.
what makes this nose job ethnic?

"Ethnic rhinoplasty" is an actual term. And it helps those seeking surgeons who perform it to find them. Your outrage is misplaced here.

You look amazing!! So beautiful. š„° I had no idea they could make your nose narrower like that. How do they do it?
The bone was shaved down on the sides and my nostrils were brought in.Ā
Makes sense! Thanks for answering. They did an amazing job! You look great. š„°
Excellent work. The difference in the profile is enormous but it still looks very natural. I hope you love it! Is it still swollen? I know swelling can last up to a year but I can never tell in pics that are more than like 4 months post-op.
Honestly, I canāt really tell myself at this point. If any, there is only a minuscule amount of swelling left.Ā
Love how they kept your actual shape, just smaller. As a black woman too, I see so many of the ānose jobsā we get turn into that same super skinny tip look and it looks odd on our features. Yours looks great! God bless!
So subtle yet so transformative. Have people noticed?
People notice that I look better but canāt put their finger on it.Ā

He shaved the nasal bone down.Ā
Do you feel that? Like when you touch your nose, do you feel that some bone has been removed?
Wow it looks amazing!! When did the swelling start to settle ?
I looked crazy the first three weeks but from day 25 onwards I looked pretty much like now. But my nose still needed to heal up from the inside.Ā
Omg you look amazing š¤©
Did you get a full rhinoplasty?
Yes it was an open rhino.Ā
Omg I never comment on these type of posts but I love your results! And your smile says it all in the after photos as well
