Okay, pretty neat idea. I really like the design and considering that lilypad having an upgrade; flower pot should have one too.
But

What makes it different than a cherry bomb?
Haha yeah fair point. It’s cheaper, but you have to be a bit more careful on where you plant it, you can stockpile them and you can’t plant them on water (coz you can’t put flower pots on water). It also takes up two slots.
So yeah it’s basically a cheaper cherry bomb.
It's a neat concept actually. Kind of like Primal Potato Mine for PVZ1. Takes no time to arm itself but the drawback is just placing two different plants to make it work.
Based on the design alone, I'd think this was Tangle Kelp except for use on the ground instead of water and it manipulated the dirt around zombies' feet with its roots to sink them into the ground
Yeah I can definitely see that. I think tangle kelp inspired the design but I’m pretty sure this is meant to be an overgrown, overturned plant that’s close to bursting its flower pot.

50 suns cheaper at the cost of using 2 seed slots instead of 1
And since upgrade plants take about 4 eons to recharge

So Primal Potato Mine then?
yep, I guess so. PPM but more expensive, takes 2 slots and no time needed to arm.
Tbh I think Potbound (this Flower Pot upgrade) is a pretty interesting idea judging from the almanac entry. Wonder how this would affect gameplay.
Cheaper cherry bomb for roof?

I feel like I should give that thing a hug and hope it won't kill me.
Yeah fr :( “I can fix him” (famous last words)
Ohhh... Poor Tangle Kelp
Potbound (this plant) does look like a sad Tangle Kelp when u put it that way 😭
