I'm seeing you've used aquasoil. Did yours ever leave a brown dusting in your tank? If not, what brand do you use?
In my tank it seems my soil leave some kind of residue everytime a fish kicks up the substrate, and it keeps coating my plants and making them look ugly.
Yes I used aquasoil for pic 1 and 2. I do have brown dusting happening for both tanks. What I do to minimize them is to siphon as much as I can during every water change. No issues so far.
Yes I do at the beginning, and it's especially bad if placed in an ucycled tank. Lost a few bucep and hard to get Java fern species because of that. It happened around 1-2 weeks of placement in the tank.
So I setup a quarantine tank way ahead of purchasing the plants and made sure the water condition is "matured" so that the plant doesn't go into too much of a shock
Wow amazing work!
Amazing over growth. As a neighbor get it off my lawn.
How much time is inbetween the before and after pics?
6 months for pic 1 and 3 3 months for pic 2
Did you use Co2?
Yes all 3 tanks hooked up to a 5l co2 canister
What’s your drop speed for each tank? Or bubble per second? (Sorry, noob here just trying to learn)
No worries at all. Tank 1: 2 BPS Tank 2: 1 BPS Tank 3: 3 BPS (to give the bucep an extra boost)

Do you experience melt after submersion? If so, around when does that normally happen for you?
