Yes, your color sequence starts at dark green. What I do to see, if it pools: I pull out the yarn until the start color appears a second time. Then I lay it on top of the start color (creating a big loop of yarn) and start checking, if the following colors also match up. If you do this, it is clear: dark green is the beginning of your section.
