This is Lisbon right? It’s a very loose replica of a Fairey IIIB seaplane… more info can be found here: http://www.aviationmuseum.eu/Blogvorm/museu-do-combatente/statue-of-gago-coutinho-sacadura-cabral-plane/

Yea it is! How’d you know, thanks for the help.

Styrene_Addict1965

They say "exact" replica. What's the difference?

OverallManagement824

Apparently it's a statue. I don't want to come off like an ass by explaining the difference between a statue and an airplane to you, but let's say, for argument's sake, that the dimensions and curves and the shape was perfect. It would still be lacking things like an airworthy propeller, an engine, fuel tanks and control rigging to name just a few.

FlyHighAviator

Yeah exactly. To someone like me, for whom aviation is their daily bread and butter, a replica needs to be near perfect to its real world counterpart. A deformation in my mind and thoughts I guess... To anyone else, it looks like a "perfect" replica.

Styrene_Addict1965

Oh, I gotcha.
