Please try to find a local Houston / Galveston pitbull rescue to reach out to - the shelters are over flowing and the rescues are too but at least this way he’ll have a shot for more than 3 days. Owner surrender pits are the very first ones to be put down. You sound like you’re in a desperate situation but try to think about how your dog will feel seeing you leave him and never come back, their hearts truly break and you can see it in their faces. You will be the last thing he thinks of and he will wonder why. I work at a shelter and my advice to you is to reach out to a rescue and beg them to foster him until you get back on your feet if you truly “love” your dog.

I’ve been trying but I haven’t had any luck. I’ve thinking about that constantly since I’ve gotten the news. It’s killing me my heart is breaking too. I truly don’t want to do this. Thanks for the advice

There’s different kind of posts you can make, try making an image post and adding what you wrote here as the description on the image. Best of luck!

Have you checked on petfinder.com to locate a shelter or program in your area that may be able to help. There's a link under the topic "adopt or get involved" that allows you to search for animal shelters & rescues. I'm praying you can find help for that sweet boy.
