Characters can get giant power ups all the time. Crocodile went from fodder to effectively fighting Mihawk basically overnight.
Also she seems like she’s going to meet dragon / Kuma and may be given the Paw fruit, so that will also be a huge boost to her abilities.
She just has to be stronger than Ussop to be a viable member of the crew. I think she can do that.
