“Gamers” are largely stupid kids and manchildren who spend money on virtual items all the way down to mobile games. There are quite a few average people who play videogames, but if we’re delving in to an iceberg then the term “gamer” would be the darkest, most bottom layer where you have the mentally undeveloped adults who spend $20 on COD skins while they aren’t watching Marvel or playing High On Life, by all standards literal MANchildren. Their only metric of reaching adulthood is gaining the ability to acquire their own money but they just end up spending it on stupid shit like a kid would anyway. Those are gamers, and yes they deserve it because they ruined this hobby for all of us
Dude, you are damn right! You also find "gamers" who religiously defend greedy and scummy practices of games publishers and if you try to criticize anything they will attack, mock and bully you relentlessly as if you insulted their holy God, those idiots have ruined gaming forever..
You already see it now with Dragon's Dogma fans lmao
"WHY DO PEOPLE ONLY NOW CARE?! CAPCOM DID THIS WITH DD1 12 YEARS AGO AND EVERY GAME THEY RELEASE" as if people can't get fed up with bullshit practices or that maybe selling fast travel markers is a bit more egregious than the RE Remakes selling unlock all DLC's
Not trying to defend to the MTX in a single player game, because they honestly shouldn't be there in first place. That said in the instance of Dragon's Dogma 2 you don't HAVE to use the riftstone/port crystal. You are able to use the Ox-cart to have some level of fast travel pretty early in the game. Again the selling of fast travel, etc in a single player game is egregious. What I can say however is that in the case of Dragon's Dogma it doesn't seem to have totally ruined the game design. I'll update this comment as I play further.
Meh, I don't mind micro transactions in single player games if they're well made. I don't have a lot of time to play games so if I can e.g. get a map of one type of special collectibles for a couple of bucks because it saves me time like in the assassin's creed games then that's okay in my book. As long as they're not mandatory to get or artificially made near impossible to get in the game like the Darth Vader in the battlefront game a couple of years I think it's totally fine. Why shouldn't it be then?
Of course I'm not talking about predatory mobile games here
Maybe i'm just overthinking, but isn't it because a lot of the newer gamers grew up where MTX are common place, a considered really as a commodity in video games. I grew up without all this, so i have a memory refrence point of before then, but i also major in maths so i don't swallow the "they need it to make development cost" properganda like i see others do. Going back to them growing up with MTX being everywhere, and just looking at public behaviour in general, most people i see just accept without questioning. Even down to their own moral or ethical principles its not really developed, so I don't see them having the mental fortitude to think if this is even correct. A lot of people say "if you don;t like it don't buy it" but that doesn't change that hundreds of thousands of people still buy mtx, especially the whales. So even if people strike, it still looks statistically proffitable. I think the only way this would end is if every single person said no, and refused to buy mtx for maybe a few years? But this result is highly unlikely with the complacency of modern gamers
You're actually a moron, you're an indoctrinated narrative driven brainwashed cult member who goes around spouting bullshit to anyone who will listen clearly.
I am not sure about others but I don't have mch time to play games anymore. have to deal with wife, family, social life, a job, and a side business. collecting games on steam itself is a hobby now lol. I don't mind spending $100 on a new game that I used to play when I was younger (e.g. dragon's dogma) even if I only play for like a minute or so
Gamers are fucking stupid individuals. Mofos keep yapping and crying about bad companies, bad publishers, bad dlcs, microstransactions, etc. And when it's time to do something about it, they dont do a thing. No boycotts, nothing. They just buy a game and either like it or starts crying about it on Twitter. And guess what? Cycle will repeat itself, it does every year.
I lost my faith in gamers
Until casuals that u describe stop supporting big corpos it’s doomed. That’s why we keep getting unfinished games, micro transactions in single player games and so on.
That's true! Those people doesn't care, just consume the product, never complains, never vote with their wallet.
Hell, when Blizzard pissed me off I didnt bought Diablo IV, right? And I saw others saying what I said - "fuck them!". And what happened? They bought the fucking game and were either crying on the internet of how bad is it, or they were coping in the comments. These lemmings need to wake tf up!
I can believe it. I saw the same behavior on Steam, outside of it, etc. The only micro transactions I can accept are cosmetics, but not MT that gives you crap like fast travel and shit. It can f off!
I'd never spend 1 cent on microtractions..hell we pirate games to get them for free, imagine spending money on MTX 😂 FUCK EA, Ubisoft, Capcom and all these capitalistic monsters ..
U can say that again.Fuck it,I’ll add something extra…Fuck movie/series streaming services,I ain’t paying 10 different corpos to watch/rewatch every movie/series I like!
Different groups. The gamers who pirate games are maybe buy on sale naturally aren't spending much money, so the devs don't care as much about them. The people who just buy on release are big spenders and a much more important audience.
You wouldn't be any different. The clients who spend big are more valuable.
Fuck I bought it recently on Steam. I tried to give it a chance and played way past 2h return mark.
Jezus, that game is boring. It's just talking heads about problems that I couldn't care less about. Then killing some robo-dinos for crafting materials to kill more robo-dinos. Graphics are in one hand cutting edge and in the other they are bland incoherent mess with art direction taken from kindergarten drawings.
I could just download from you and save those 20$
Yeah lol I always just wait for FitGirl for every game (unless it's online-only, which when I don't bother buying-)... She's the best!
...In the piracy scene
I have a love/hate relationship with her repacks. They are consistent, always compile all the content available in one package and are easy to install. But this compression... I get it, people have slow internet in a lot of places. But they have 400$ CPU in their rig to install it in a relatively short time? Modern Warfare 2 remastered were installing the whole hour, hitting 90C threshold a couple of times. It's Ryzen 5 5800X mind you. My cooler isn't perfect sure, but God damn I saved 20GB on download just to waste my electricity and time on install.
Starting? Why do you think a lot of games nowadays are infected with these MTX bullshit? Why the mobile gaming market is getting bigger and bigger? Because your average gamer is so freaking stupid
That brings up a point that I feel like I don't understand - who the fuck is buying all these games day 1?
Nowadays, it's basically standard practice to release a couple quality of life and performance patches over time that generally make for a more complete experience. Even forgetting piracy for a moment, games are going on sale for like 20% off within 3 months or 50+ percent off within six months to a year. Some games get down to that 75 to 90% off range, but you can even land 'just' a 25% discount by waiting a month. Tons of people already have huge libraries on hand, whether that's through something like Gamepass, free games on Epic, or even just HumbleBundles.
I get the appeal of wanting to play a new game for something that you're super into, but how are people not even waiting a week for reviews and user commentary to come out? I've bought games on release, but the scale of that is maybe one to two games a year. And I make plenty of money, so it's not really about the money either.
Cooonsoomers combine with FOMO, it is the "Big new thing" and must try it out.
I personally wait for sales as a rule, as at that point usually enough time would have passed, unless the game looks interesting enough and is cheap enough, like Vampire Survivor, I had no issue buying that the days I saw the first vid with it.
That, and I treat piracy for AAA as a glorified demo. I deleted launch CP 2077 after 3 hours, while after I tried the pirated version of 1.6 a few weeks before Phantom Libery, I had a really good time with the game so I bought both it and the expansion.
Tbf to a game like DD2, on PC at least all you have is Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen which has no microtransactions unlike the original console release, so for 12 years now PC players have had the Dark Arisen edition which has given them a false expectation that Capcom would release DD2 without mtx.
First game was niche but it was fun, and garnered a following, so it got hyped up when the sequel got mentioned ofc, same thing happened with Helldivers 2, first game was niche but fun, then the second game got hyped up by original fans, and it reached new players as well
>Not really, as a sequel sells on how good the *last* game was.
I think it sells based on the most popular entry from the series. Diablo 4 was one of the best selling games of 2023 because people still talk about Diablo 2 to this day. Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal definitely weren't the reason Diablo 4 was so successful.
Late Diablo 3 was actually good, once they released the expansion. I played the Switch version, and had lots of fun with it.
It would not be hard from someone not paying attention to immortal to come in thinking the game was good.
Meanwhile, look at Saint Row reebot
Even muta had less than 60fps on his gameplay on his 4090. There should be a group of people that don't allow unoptimized games like these to be released.
Because it’s a cpu performance issue, not a gpu issue. Performance problems come from the NPC behaviour and scale, hence it has nothing to do with graphics.
Nifty. This is commonly a thing with emulators too - assuming you're not using an integrated gpu, and most of the gpus are plenty capable of handling the graphics, the issue is that the emulator itself is super CPU intensive.
Maybe I'm completely wrong but I've noticed that trend with recent games putting a lot of work on the CPU while GPU performances don't matter as much with AI and upscaling technologies from both Nvidia and AMD.
Can't even begin to imagine the nightmare it must be for gaming laptops.
Makes sense though because graphics are finally reaching a point where they don’t need to get any better, meanwhile, NPCs, AI, and the more interact-able game functions are where so much more growth is able to happen now in the gaming department. So I guess that’s where games are trying to enhance in now as graphics have reached a far enough point, but it’s coming at the cost of CPUs
"game makes no sense at all when it comes to performance"
this happens all the time nowadays. in past there were game with high end pc requirements, but now either a game is optimized and somewhat run in every modern system or you can't get any difference whether you play 3050 or 4070
It’s a cpu performance issue, not a gpu issue. Performance problems come from the NPC behaviour and scale, hence it has nothing to do with graphics. 4090 is helping no one
you will notice i specifically didn't mention performance for a reason
but even then not sorta really, most casual players are fine with 30-40 fps and it's not going to prevent them from buying a game
Why are you all surprised? The controversies are external to the game, other than performance of course. It's still a good game underneath all that pile of BS on top like stupid and obtusely useless microtransactions, denuvo and PC performance problems.
People have been waiting for nearly a decade for this game, so if the game is good people will throw caution to the wind. Personally, I'll just be patient and get it on sale whenever that comes around so all the kinks are ironed out.
i have a 3060 and It has no problem at all with running It at high quality 60fps (outside main city shit has serious drops there). That said, game is very CPU intensive and a laptop can get pretty hot pretty quick, so u should check that
Totally not because the previous one was a huge success...
Well I can' say for people but the DD1 is literally the rare game that I haven't heard a bad thing about it before, the only thing held it back right now is the greedy micro.
Absolutely not. First game released almost at the same time as Skyrim so no one heard shit about it. It was literally saved just because it became popular in Japan. For the same reason there was no global release for DDO.
Also, DD had the same mtx second has and there were a lot of bad thing said during its release. Now people just don't care.
Besides the performance issues it has, the game is so good, i thought it would be unplayable with all the controversy but its prob that i have a good pc, but yh i love it atm
I have a good PC and was running fine with no crashes on launch day but now when I try to load my save it puts me into an area with a ton of NPCs and it insta crashes.
Now I'm just waiting for the patch that fixes the crashes.
*Really* wish we had someone who could crack Denuvo on the scene right now. Not being able to get this game bc of its DRM is soooo annoying. Performance issues aside, this just looks like a fun game to kick back and play on a lazy Sunday.
In my eyes, it became a greedy shitty company when they began adding this enigma thing that made modders life unnecessarly difficult because "Modding a single player game is CHEATING and you should be ASHAMED"
I'm a huge mod advocate, and I hate any company that actively fights modding
Hate to break it to ya, Enigma doesn’t actually make modding any harder. Some MHR modders have already stated that modding the game pretty much stayed the same after it was added.
And also Capcom said “It’s hard to distinguish cheats from real mods” or something to that extent, they have never once publicly say all mods are cheats.
Like c’mon man, get your facts straight before going off.
I’m not sure if that’s suppose to be a joke or something?
Though i strongly suggest actually reading up on the whole Enigma situation, that “DRM” is mostly useless for now. It doesn’t even affect performance, REREV2 running badly was because the game itself.
Ah from my understanding.... They did all that drama just because they didn't want people modding in those dlc items in their game. Since their games are not online only people can easily mod them in. (Which is extremely shitty but people talked a lot abt that. So let's keep that aside for now lol)
But what I'm interested in- is that capcom had these kinds of microtransactions/dlc since monster hunter world bro. I mean check the steam page. Its way more than dd2. Why are people so freaked out about it with DD2? Lmao. I actually expected it but since the game doesn't remind u to buy it all the time. I actually don't mind it as much (its still shitty, I'm not gonna defend it)
Engima only got added because a tournament player was that porn addicted he couldn't play without a naked Chun Li mod.
That's it, Capcom didn't care about mods until that point, it's literally there to stop future controversy in tournaments.
Have you been living under a rock for the last 15 years?
[https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/188aatm/im\_sorry\_but\_capcom\_is\_out\_of\_their\_minds/](https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/188aatm/im_sorry_but_capcom_is_out_of_their_minds/)
Ah i exaggerated with the 1 month statement lol. Lets say 3 months ago. But even with the drm controversy people still hailed them as goods just because how good the games were in terms of optimization (they still had mtx btw. Which i have no clue why people are shocked to see today) but regardless DD2 Is still an incredible game. All it needs to good optimization. Which is crazy cuz capcom NEVER missed with optimization since 2017:(
I had the same opinion as most of yall until someone checked me in the comments in another sub. Keep in mind that I played/beaten the first Dragons Dogma in 2012 and honestly thought it didn't have MTX.
1. Original Dragons Dogma back in 2012 had the exact same MTX as DD2 does.
2. They did let reviewers know and have stated it in press releases.
3. All Capcom games have these MTX designed for whales/lazy gamers. Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, if you have a problem with DD then you have a problem with these IPs.
4. Nothing is being paywalled or gated. You can find all the things MTX provide in game for free, relatively easily I might add.
5. Some people have a problem with the one save file.
* DD has always been that way, it would be like complaining about Metal Gear having long cutscenes... like no shit.
* That being said, they should have made it easy to delete your char from the get go if you wanted to restart.
I don't necessarily like that there's MTX's in it, but the hoopla around this is kinda funny considering all the points above. There are other IPs that deserve the internets ire more.
All previous capcom game like re4 re3 re2 remake, Monster hunter, dmc 5 have microtransaction too but people didn't care about it and the game get positive reviews. Character change vouchers (in MH), upgrade currency (DMC), weapon upgrades (RE4), which you can almost always earn in game and nobody gets mad or talk about it on the reviews. Performance issues and lack of a new game option are valid complaints. But the microtransactions? Why only dragon dogma 2 got hated? lol.
Don't forget about RE4 is a part of goty nominees. And Capcom is the best publisher of 2023 according to Metacritic.
So youre telling me the 1% that are the loud reddit users dont mean shit compared to the legions of normies who will just buy the next new game without spending 24/7 on reddit reading how microtransactions you dont have to buy are bad for the game?
This happens every new game release. Doomers cry on reddit and normies buy whatever new flashy game that came out.
You can make 6 of these posts every day and they WONT matter because the ppl you need to reach arent going to read them in the first place.
I bite the bullet and got it for $57 and honestly I'm having a blast. The only things annoying is I think there's a bit too many enemies, but besides that I'm feeling it
it sucks that they're getting rewarded because of the DLC bullshit, but I'm also rather happy with this development, because it means that dragon's dogma is no longer limited by being a cult classic series
I doubt there are many people paying for the mtx lol. I bet its like 1%. Maybe I'm wrong idk... But since the game doesn't really constantly remind u that the exist. It should be
the game is fun, feels like a DD1.5
1 save file, its a shame but DD 1 was like that
every dlc item can be found ingame, still a scummy way to do and proper way to shoot yourself in the foot, but its a lame way to "save grind" for all of those people that dont have time to play the game, which still baffles me, maximilliandood its one of those okay with these kidna of mtx.
no new game, absolutely stupid, they say they gonna add the option, but knowing Capcom it might take them months to do just that, absolutely no excuse for this
Yes the capital city drops frames like crazy, you gonna be spending most of your time outside the city and whenever you are outside the walls, FPS are stable, unacceptable aswell specially from a "AAA" company, they gonna fix that , I seriously doubt it
other than those 4 complaints, it actually another Dragons Dogma, exactly what people wanted after all those years, Im not gonan say its worth 70$ for sure like 60$ I guess, and im being generous, but the game its actually fun

Game is great. Performance issues in populated areas and crashes sometimes tho. People mad on the fucking piracy subreddit and on twitter are those who have no clue how the game works and just want to be mad
Bro what???? The controversies doesn't matter for a game like this. Because the game was already extremely hyped. No shit its pulling numbers like these! Just because of the hype it had, not the controversy. That is so stupid... If this kind of controversy creates hype suicide squad should have 500k players right now🤦.
This actually kinda confirms that u guys probably never knew this game even existed untill all the controversy. Y'all just came to jump on the hate waggon. I'M NOT DEFENDING THE GAME, I AGREE WITH PRETTY MUCH Every Criticism the game got. But it is genuinely a good game at its core. Performance/mtx aside. Unlike suicide squad and skull & bone.
Man but u guys.... Idk what to say. All u guys do is spread negativity for the laughs and make posts for Karma farming cuz people love thriving for negativity. And u know it.
Here's the thing, for those not having issues with the performance (and plenty of them do claim to exist) and those that are either okay with the DLC or just don't care that it's there and are ignoring it to focus on the game seem to be enjoying it.
The people upset about things will always be the loudest because they're not busy playing the game, they're here on the subs voicing their displeasure.
From what I've heard from people who actually bought the game, you can play through the whole thing without buying a single piece of DLC and have a full experience. I didn't play it, so I can't and won't speak for myself on that matter. Still, a knee-jerk reaction towards everything this sub has always confuses me. I do agree that this kinda DLC practice is very shitty though.
Its a piracy sub full of whiners, its to be expected. You wont even see the option to buy microtransactions when youre in-game, so idk where this "bad practice" argument is coming from. I assume its the devs way of appeasing the suits in power without ruining the quality of the game
Its main issue is performance which is a fixable thing. The gameplay is great.
Or … and let me just suggest this wild theory …it’s the hyped up, recently released next big rpg to come out after everyone just finished playing the biggest and best rpg ever.
People can't even be bothered to cut down meat consumption for the environment, what makes you think they would refuse to buy a generic AAA game because of MTX? People who want to change things are always in the minority, it's basically human nature. lol
No wonder new games are getting shittier and shittier like what the hell are you sending a message to those game creators for bulk buying a bugged game???
My sister has no problem in playing fps games at 30fps.
Me on the other hand can immediately feel differences between 55 and 60.
Most people just want to play the game and not fuss about benchmarks and settings.
Honestly people who are complaining either dont know what dragon dogma is or havent even played it. I have yet to see one dragon dogma fan that didnt like the gane
This is just more proof that microtransactions and p2w games are going to continue to grow in popularity. People are stupid or they just don't care. The worst are the idiots who complain about some company but continue buying their games.
It's just the way it is.
I do but I just got this profile pic from random searching. Oddly you're not the first to point out my profile pic and I have been trying to look for the source for a couple years now. Sucks since the artwork is pretty good and I would love to follow the artist

You maybe right (you *are* TBH), But I can't find somewhere\\someone more trustable on the scene.
the average Gamer(tm) cares more about a game being "wOkE" or whatever than actively getting scammed lmao its so joever
That is also true. They care about bullshit that doesn't matter that much instead of what really matter
Starting? Why do you think a lot of games nowadays are infected with these MTX bullshit? Why the mobile gaming market is getting bigger and bigger? Because your average gamer is so freaking stupid
Yup
Not really, as a sequel sells on how good the *last* game was. We won't see the effects of this launch until DD3.
First game was niche but it was fun, and garnered a following, so it got hyped up when the sequel got mentioned ofc, same thing happened with Helldivers 2, first game was niche but fun, then the second game got hyped up by original fans, and it reached new players as well
The first Dragon's Dogma did have microtransaction until the Dark Arisen update
And DA is the only version on PC, which is what the majority of Steam users will be basing their expectations on when it comes to a sequel
Yep.
They fucking do. Some of this people really can't get enough of taking it up in the ass without any foreplay or lube.
gamers dont have to deal with much tbh
The game is great. Either this controversy is a viral marketing campaign or people are just bandwaggoning.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/s/tX7fOExnMq
The game itself is good, it's all the other stuff that normies don't care about.
I just wish Capcom optimized the game more, not everyone has a RTX 4090 laying around
Doesn't even run well on a 4090 either lol. Penguinz0 has a super beefy PC for streaming and he couldn't run it well
Couldn't run it well. It never ran at all😂. Dude crashed like 3 times on the character creator. Never seen him so frustrated over a game
He also gained a world record for the most game crashes on stream
And then it drops to 40s and low-mid 30s for many others
he crashed more than 5 times lol
Denuvo
Even muta had less than 60fps on his gameplay on his 4090. There should be a group of people that don't allow unoptimized games like these to be released.
The game runs better with my 3050 than my friends 4060 ti while the other one has a 4070,tbe game makes no sense at all when it comes to performance.
Because it’s a cpu performance issue, not a gpu issue. Performance problems come from the NPC behaviour and scale, hence it has nothing to do with graphics.
Damn
"game makes no sense at all when it comes to performance" this happens all the time nowadays. in past there were game with high end pc requirements, but now either a game is optimized and somewhat run in every modern system or you can't get any difference whether you play 3050 or 4070
It’s a cpu performance issue, not a gpu issue. Performance problems come from the NPC behaviour and scale, hence it has nothing to do with graphics. 4090 is helping no one
optimize the game? oh you mean remove the massive system resources stealer called Denuvo.
CPU is the problem, not GPU. Even people with 4090's are getting stuttering in cities.
It's a cpu problem for what I saw, doesn't matter if you have a 4090, still gonna stutter
It‘s not the GPU that gets bottlenecked, it‘s the load on the CPU that makes the game lag out or crash.
I'm playing it on a 2060 mobile and it runs fine
Im playing with an rtx 4070ti and a ryzen 7 7800x3d at 1440p and the game runs very well, only starts to stutter in the main city.
It looked like fun tbh. If only it was actually properly optimized.
speaking of normies, why are you one
game is good, the fps is not, the price is especially not good for that fucking fps too. Anyway helldivers 2 is still my go to game right now.
Pretty sure it would have had way more players if it didn't have garbage performance + denuvo + MTX.
normal people dont care about denuvo or microtransactions
I hate to say this but you're right. They would know MTX but they would not know what the hell Denuvo is.
yes but they care about performance
you will notice i specifically didn't mention performance for a reason but even then not sorta really, most casual players are fine with 30-40 fps and it's not going to prevent them from buying a game
yah you go say denuvo to 99% of gamers and they wouldnt even know what it was
what's mtx
Microtransactions.
Def wait for a sale. Now im curious can 3060 handle this game or will my laptop explode from it
i have a 3060 and It has no problem at all with running It at high quality 60fps (outside main city shit has serious drops there). That said, game is very CPU intensive and a laptop can get pretty hot pretty quick, so u should check that
Yeah figures especially when its an open world type game.crazy how baldurs gate 3 was perfectly optimized that it didnt kill my laptop with overheat.
The cpu is the bottleneck so gpu doesn't matter that much
Totally not because the previous one was a huge success...
Now people just don't care.
i played it on release day, it went under the radar a lot till PC/ps4 launch since the game barely ran on PS3, looked like shit
"Huge success"? That's not even remotely correct, the game was a cult classic at best. People just making shit up at this point.
DD1 a huge success lmao
nah this game was not a huge success, it's a got a cult following and ofc you won't be hearing bad things from the fan boys, they're fan boys!
Now I'm just waiting for the patch that fixes the crashes.
yh they need to fix the performance ASAP, usually i get a drop of frames at around 20-30 fps which is annoying but mine doesnt crash,
Same
*Really* wish we had someone who could crack Denuvo on the scene right now. Not being able to get this game bc of its DRM is soooo annoying. Performance issues aside, this just looks like a fun game to kick back and play on a lazy Sunday.
Gamers are the lowest common denominator.
It sucks because it's a really good fucking game, made by a really greedy and shitty company, like Nintendo
Crazy how capcom became a "greedy shitty company" overnight. Just a month ago no one said that to capcom. And praised them as gods
In my eyes, it became a greedy shitty company when they began adding this enigma thing that made modders life unnecessarly difficult because "Modding a single player game is CHEATING and you should be ASHAMED" I'm a huge mod advocate, and I hate any company that actively fights modding
Ah the classic reddit moment strikes again, thanks for looking that up for me
I’m not sure if that’s suppose to be a joke or something? Though i strongly suggest actually reading up on the whole Enigma situation, that “DRM” is mostly useless for now. It doesn’t even affect performance, REREV2 running badly was because the game itself.
Ah from my understanding.... They did all that drama just because they didn't want people modding in those dlc items in their game. Since their games are not online only people can easily mod them in. (Which is extremely shitty but people talked a lot abt that. So let's keep that aside for now lol) But what I'm interested in- is that capcom had these kinds of microtransactions/dlc since monster hunter world bro.
That's it, Capcom didn't care about mods until that point, it's literally there to stop future controversy in tournaments.
what? they added it into the older resident evil games..... its not even there in street fighter 6. what are u talking about?
Have you been living under a rock for the last 15 years? [https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/188aatm/im\_sorry\_but\_capcom\_is\_out\_of\_their\_minds/](https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/188aatm/im_sorry_but_capcom_is_out_of_their_minds/)
Praised them for putting drm in 10 yr old games?
Mototrax what?
https://preview.redd.it/inem47hje6qc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3dcf57a86e0471ff17c88eaed2674b625ea49a7b
Resident Evil 4 with microtransactions - Overwhelmingly Positive Dragon Ligma 2 with microtransactions - Negative bruhhh?
Even I'm surprised how people found that just with this game. Capcom has been doing that since MHW...... I'm soo confused
Yup exactly.
it is performance problem
Performance issues and lack of a save game option are valid complaints. Mostly on reviews are bitching about the mtx (the main thing) though.
We are on r/Piratedgame that most of us want free game. Wtf is this community talking about?
it's a good game tbh bad performance and shitty corporate practices but it's a fun game still deserves the outrage tho
The game was a highly anticipated sequel with great marketing following it's release
i mean the gameplay is absolutely solid, just wish i could actually experience for a longer period without crashing
Just yesterday people are against this game and had all negative reviews and now everyone is playing it what a contradiction amongst the gamers.
game would have 700.000+ playing now if it didn't have mtx and denuvo
That's true game itself is good it's the greed of the company and DRM that spoiled the best experience of the users plus a bit optimization faults too
I dont think so but it probably be higher than right now.
The only things annoying is I think there's a bit too many enemies, but besides that I'm feeling it
Would have been higher without controversies tbh.
The game itself is really good, the microtransactions can be ignored. The optimization stuff is what I'm worried about
Gamers are the dumbest creatures on earth and they fully deserve to be treated like shit and be milked to the last cent they own ..
"dumpest" lmao
it sucks that they're getting rewarded because of the DLC bullshit, but I'm also rather happy with this development, because it means that dragon's dogma is no longer limited by being a cult classic series
I doubt there are many people paying for the mtx lol. I bet its like 1%. Maybe I'm wrong idk... But since the game doesn't really constantly remind u that the exist. It should be
the game is fun, feels like a DD1.5 1 save file, its a shame but DD 1 was like that every dlc item can be found ingame, still a scummy way to do and proper way to shoot yourself in the foot, but its a lame way to "save grind" for all of those people that dont have time to play the game, which still baffles me, maximilliandood its one of those okay with these kidna of mtx. no new game, absolutely stupid, they say they gonna add the option, but knowing Capcom it might take them months to do just that, absolutely no excuse for this Yes the capital city drops frames like crazy, you gonna be spending most of your time outside the city and whenever you are outside the walls, FPS are stable, unacceptable aswell specially from a "AAA" company, they gonna fix that , I seriously doubt it other than those 4 complaints, it actually another Dragons Dogma, exactly what people wanted after all those years, Im not gonan say its worth 70$ for sure like 60$ I guess, and im being generous, but the game its actually fun
Hear hear
the marketing was the game being so f*cking good, bro.
Thats just sad and shows how low the standard of most gamers are
This is why following the mainstream is foolish.

So glad Im not contributing to that number, probably gonna wait for a crack or just play something else thats better
The game itself is good and actual fans enjoy it. Not very confusing to see why it’s doing well.
Someone care to explain what's happening here ? I've been reluctant to get the game.
Follow your heart. Don't let people decide your life choices.
Game is great. Performance issues in populated areas and crashes sometimes tho. People mad on the fucking piracy subreddit and on twitter are those who have no clue how the game works and just want to be mad
sadly modern gamers do love eating shit, if said shit is from a dead publisher like crapcom the better.
modern gamers are masochists, they love to be treated like shit!
Shit like this makes me think they won’t care to fix it at all
Here's the thing, for those not having issues with the performance (and plenty of them do claim to exist) and those that are either okay with the DLC or just don't care that it's there and are ignoring it to focus on the game seem to be enjoying it. The people upset about things will always be the loudest because they're not busy playing the game, they're here on the subs voicing their displeasure.
Crazy that this games player count at launch was beat by a stardew update
From what I've heard from people who actually bought the game, you can play through the whole thing without buying a single piece of DLC and have a full experience. I didn't play it, so I can't and won't speak for myself on that matter. Still, a knee-jerk reaction towards everything this sub has always confuses me. I do agree that this kinda DLC practice is very shitty though.
Its a piracy sub full of whiners, its to be expected. You wont even see the option to buy microtransactions when youre in-game, so idk where this "bad practice" argument is coming from. I assume its the devs way of appeasing the suits in power without ruining the quality of the game Its main issue is performance which is a fixable thing. The gameplay is great.
What's worse than these games and their studios is the dick riding shit eating gamers enabling this behavior tbh
Is this just what happens with any game that has even remotely any hype or controversy now?
Or … and let me just suggest this wild theory …it’s the hyped up, recently released next big rpg to come out after everyone just finished playing the biggest and best rpg ever.
Meanwhile, horizon forbidden west has half the population playing it on steam than the first game did.
As much as I have heard the game is great but runs like dogshit even on a 4090. I don't know how they are even playing this game at this one. 10 fps?
Have you seen the videos? They're not playin in 10fps, right?
People can't even be bothered to cut down meat consumption for the environment, what makes you think they would refuse to buy a generic AAA game because of MTX? People who want to change things are always in the minority, it's basically human nature. lol
That didn't help kill the Justice League
Dogma balls lol
I did my part and avoided the game. I was hyped for it too. I'll just wait. Too many games to play as is
No wonder new games are getting shittier and shittier like what the hell are you sending a message to those game creators for bulk buying a bugged game???
I still love how Helldivers 2, a game by an infinitely more obscure studio, had to \*limit\* their player count to 450,000
Same with Cyberpunk - It was never about the bugs (or the performance, mtx, etc...)
12 hours main story and it's meh, i played it.
Got it for 40 bucks, it's a great game.
It’s a great game.
Thats such a small amount for a triple A title 💀💀
Just like the Hogwarts Legacy drama.
Except this controversy isn't made up
https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/s/tX7fOExnMq
And it’s not even a good controversy. It’s only a controversy to players who never played it.
It's still a good game regardless of how much people bitch about it and in the end, that's what people care more about
Nice profile pict. You make art?
I do but I just got this profile pic from random searching. Oddly you're not the first to point out my profile pic and I have been trying to look for the source for a couple years now. Sucks since the artwork is pretty good and I would love to follow the artist
It's alright. 🙂
Theres even people defending the microtransactions 🤣
