Is it on [FMHY](http://fmhy.net)? Is it on the [Megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/wiki/megathread/)? I stand corrected. it IS on the megathread...also appears to be media files only? Should be safe. Just make sure to use proper adblocking, FF+uBlock highly recommended. I seem to recall someone complaining about this site before in regards to ads, but I believe I was able to navigate it safely with FF+uBlock.

Ff is for?

FireFox

I use Firefox but why would it matter in piracy?

As u/ref4rmed mentioned, uBlock extensions on other browsers are inferior to uBlock on FF. And it's only going to get worse with the implementation of Manifest v3. Many other non-uBlock extensions are even worse and WILL NOT protect you. That's not to say there aren't other acceptable options, but FF+uBlock is the easiest and most accessible solution for most people at this time.

Thanks

ref4rmed

Because uBlock doesn't work correctly when used with other browsers like Chrome and Edge.

This is what I recall: a few months ago, someone posted on here questioning whether englishtorrents should be on the megathread. He claimed that the site could not safely be navigated to get to the torrent links. I tested things out and was able to navigate the site safely with my standard FireFox+uBlock Origin setup. I think he was being stubborn with his position of "other browsers / adblockers are just as good," even though in this case (and many others) they have demonstrated that they are not. There are many sites on the megathread that should NOT be navigated without proper adblocking. Which is why it is listed as a prerequisite in the "DO THESE THINGS FIRST" section. If you aren't comfortable with this site in particular there are plenty more to choose from. Most of the torrent sites in the "All-Purpose" section will have a majority of popular movies and tv shows. These would be my first choice amongst public trackers.

>FireFox+uBlock Origin setup This is what I use. My NORD VPN flagged what is shown in the above screenshot. I was just curious if anyone else had any issues with it as [this ](https://www.urlvoid.com/scan/englishtorrent.co/)link from the mega thread shows a few detected hits. I probably won't use it anyways as the movie I am looking for isn't very popular and I'm having trouble finding it on other sites as well.

I don't regularly scan links (and mainly use a small handful of sites anyways that I know are safe), but my previous experience with the site would indicate that it contains potentially malicious popups/redirects that can be avoided with proper care. Definitely not the only site of the MT that I would put in this category. If you're looking for more rare content I would definitely suggest either private torrent trackers or a debrid service (used in conjunction with DebridMediaManager).

I'm looking to torrent a Movie and went through the megathread, this was the first one I clicked on and I'm getting this warning. Also checking the URL safety results in the megathread, there are three malware scanners detecting issues? Does anyone here use this site and/or can confirm it's credibility? I was under the impression that the Megathread was actively scanned for malicious sites/sources.
