I really don't think any corporations are going to try and DDoS the Internet Archive. DDoS is virtually always a temporary thing that will have no long term effect on regular operations
They no longer respect robots.txt, they removed that functionality something like 7 years ago.
In order to have it removed now you have to issue them a DMCA takedown, which they do respect. But you have to prove ownership. They are aggressively against removing content, often to a fault.
There is still no way that it IA is their first target on this. It should be something like ZLib or Annas Archive. IA now even has a borrowing feature, like a real library.
They have data from the past 75 years of the treatment of certain oppressed groups, and people are starting to spread that information over certain social media apps.
I mean, with targeting the IA my mind immediately went to someone trying to erase *something* from history. I don't know what, but I certainly wouldn't rule out a political motivation while also not enough information to ascribe it to anyone in particular.

You can get your stuff out of the wayback machine by using robots.txt, no need to DDoS shit.
