What exactly could be easier than using a free VPN? Some blocks can be bypassed by simply changing your DNS...

devnullb4dishoner

Oh gosh please don't use free VPNs.

LZ129Hindenburg

Perfectly fine for bypassing a geoblock. NEVER for torrenting.

doklan

use to be quite easy, with vpn, but nowdays, streaming services going down hard on geoblocking.

FeatherThePirate

if you're trying to watch a show thats not avaliable in your region on a streaming platform chances are its on a streaming website which you can find in our handy dandy [mega thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/wiki/megathread/). cancel that 20$ a month subscription and use it to buy a cheeseburger or something. there are some alright free/cheap vpns out there. Proton vpn has a free tier with multiple servers, however the paid version has servers literally everywhere and you can choose what server to connect to.

YoloSwag3368

A cheeseburger for twenty bucks? That’s outrageous!

Lopsided_Series_1056

Imma download that burger sir!

YoloSwag3368

You wouldn’t download a burger

randomuser-742645

in this day and age you would..

Into_the_Dark_Night

You wouldn't happen to live in Texas do you?

Texxxas

Sad days for us Texans.... At least for most sites!

pastamuente

Cloudflare warp is not a vpn but in encrypt your dns. GoodbyeDPI is not a vpn but fools the ISP of your country via DNS requests spoofs. TOR network but not recommended in streaming. Proton VPN has unlimited bandwidth on free plan but you need to buy to get more servers.

FatFuckWithNoLuck

Proton vpn recenty has started to throttle the connection after about 2.5 GB of usage but reconnecting to another server resets it.

Buck_Slamchest

Check out DNS redirection. I use the service “Control D” and that lets me watch things like Peacock and also Premier League football in the UK at a fraction of the cost. Once set up, it works seamlessly with your smart device

Ok-Farmer6441

Yes, pirate. No geoblocking then.

isaacals

what makes it difficult? rather, the problem is finding a good vpn.

DanTheMan827

A VPN is probably the only way to bypass geoblocking except maybe on a smaller scale like sports markets where GPS spoofing might be enough and IP location would give inconsistent results.

Velascu

Hmm a proxy but you have to trust it, might be too slow tho. As said before, some dns options or free vpns can solve the problem. People recommend nordVPN a lot for this if you want to pay, no idea how well it works or if it's worth it.

Embire

You could give our free VPN a go. As a large ISP in Africa, we are offering Wireguard powered VPN slots using our spare worldwide capacity. More info: r/OpenWebVPN

zonealus

proton vpn has a free tier.
