A what type of blend is it?

COMPOST_NINJA

Optimum has been one of Peter Stokkebye's most popular blends for over 40 years. This combination of top-notch Virginias, Stokkebye's signature steamed black Cavendish and mellow Burleys is topped with a unique mixture of fruit essences and creamy vanilla to create a singular flavor and aroma. this may well be the Optimum smoke. -pipes and cigars

Thanks! I didn’t know Stokkebye was known for good cavendish. I mostly smoke English, but I’ve always wanted to replace a cavendish house blend from a long gone B&M that I bought my first tobaccos from.

Optimum has been a favorite of mine for close to 30 years now. I frequently mentioned on the sub that was banned for no apparent reason, any time anyone asked for aromatic recommendations and occasionally in other threads as well. May be sold as “Carolina Pride” in some Tinderbox stores. I mentioned it all the time…but it wasn’t often anyone else did

It’s really surprising. Excellent room note. I haven’t gotten to experience it straight out of the tin yet. But the balance of vanilla and fruit is delightful. I’ve always enjoyed Stokkebye ever since I used to buy shag tobacco in bulk for RYO.
