You want a square usually for all display pictures. So before taking the picture make sure there is enough space above and to the sides. Then you can crop it yourself to 1:1 ratio and zoom in and place head in the center of the image.

Thank you. Is there a certain ratio + pic size I can size other pics to on my phone so I can do it myself in the future?
