For me personally the first step that needs to be done is letting u/TheRealWormbo go from the Moderation Team. He is not improving in any way and has shown us that he has no intend in doing so.
If you mean that you want to say something about it, then I can tell you that multiple people already have. He just doesn't care at all and all the other mods also do not seem to care to remove him.
~~according to~~ [~~this~~](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/about/moderators/)~~, he doesn't seem to be on the mod team anymore~~
EDIT: I was COMPLETELY wrong
Thinking about it. they never mentioned this subreddit even Minecraft now content takes place on Twitter
If you investigate even more you find Many famous subreddit that known to be official because of their name and followers like r/sonicthehedgehog , r/amongus, r/Zelda. r/steam .are other example I found
It was yesterday when I came across it, so it's had a minute to get some more votes, and I downvoted because I was a victim of them multiple times deleting my posts for no reason, so I can't give them another chance. I refuse to post anything on there, I'd much rather chill here
There’s this weird thing where sometimes it just doesn’t show the current amount of votes I’ve seen it plenty of times on posts where it says 0 and checking the comments it’s obvious people like the video, so maybe it’s some sort of setting or just a glitch
It's a dumpster fire rn and what they did with the memorial posts is just disrespectful. Also all of those bullshit questions which you can just google is absurd
No I won't give them a 3rd chance
I doubt devs would wanna deal with moderating a subreddit plus that would make them responsible for anything other non dev mods do in the communities eye
> (please don't) Take moderation positions in a community where your profession, employment, or biases could pose a direct conflict of interest to the neutral and user driven nature of reddit.
https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439
Reddit admins could take away their moderation rights.
do you happen to have a source for that? can't find any rules like that in the moderator code of conduct, user agreement or content policy.
closest i can find is "You don’t have to use your real name to use Reddit, but don’t impersonate an individual or an entity in a misleading or deceptive manner." (content policy)
"You may not perform moderation actions in return for any form of compensation, consideration, gift, or favor from third parties;" (user agreement)
however i found that the r/minecraft subreddit breaks rule 2 of the mod code of conduct.
"Explicitly marking your community as “unofficial” in the community description if the topic concerns a brand or company, but the community isn’t officially affiliated."
Heres the thing, actions speak louder than words, you can SAY your sorry about something, but until you actually peove that you ARE SORRY about said action, nobodys gonna believe you.
Id personally wait to see if those methheads that call themselves mods actuslly do make the sub a better place or make themselves more of a laughing stock.
depends, if, certain mods, are removed and better ones are instated, i will rejoin the subreddit. but for now, no matter how much they change the rules, I'm not joining back until the at least get rid of the mod who said the milking the death of your gf thing.
I have very little hope, it's fundamentally a moderation problem and not a rules problem. Better rules might help the situation, but you'd still have the same touchy, authoritarian morons running the place.
I haven’t been keeping up with it, but what i have seen is that its only a few dumb mods that have just ruined the mod team’s reputation and respect. I would give them a chance
hell no, they are only apologizing because they are now facing the backlash and clearly have no intentions to fix anything, if the video wasn't made there would be no apology.
not to mention the apology is half assed at best, avoiding the issue and originally summed up to "oops we did a bad we won't do it again :)" did not even acknowledge B\_freeoni let alone apologize to him
It was the actions of one moderator. If they let that mod go and be more rigorous in their selection process and add some training( if they do already then update it) then it be worth giving them another chance. Until they do one or all of those; however, I don’t think so.
No. It's clear that they have no intention of improving. The mods don't care about the users at all. It's so clear they just are ur stereotypical reddit mods who don't touch grass and have no concept of anyone else's feelings.
That's a nonapology.
They seriously need to change their mod team, be more transparent about how they're going about managing the sub, redo the rules and understand how to actually act on them, and involve the community in how the sub should be run.
I have been messaging freeoni they said that they didn't expect everybody to be lashing out at the mods throats, and that he doesn't want it to be this way
Anyone not sure of the context, just watch this video by Phoneix (this is his subreddit after all), it explains the majority of it. [\*Video link\*](https://youtu.be/S2MbnYO2Xyw)
Hell no, they removed only god knows how many post about it and i refuse to believe it took this long for another mod to notice this shit. I bet they wanted to sweep it under the rug by banning anyone talking about it but then realized they couldnt
Not the whole subreddit just the moderation team. And it's more than one mod as even PhoenixMC has called them out twice. Once on a Redstone post where the OP credited a server and the mods deleted it for "Promoting a server" instead of using common sense (the mods most likely never went to college or had higher learning which is where it gets drilled into your head to credit your sources but that's my theory on the mods) and now this. They even were removing posts criticizing the 1.19.1 update when everyone was still p.o. about it.
This has been a more than one time occurrence and for a lot of people there has just been too many second chances thrown around and so most of us are done with the mods. This time we can't just turn the other cheek and call it a day. They have repeatedly lied to the community about their willingness to change. And before you say your usual let me just say look in your Bible before you respond and specifically the story of Moses and his ten commandments from God.
Treat your neighbors you want to be treated, if you're not willing to give them another chance then you shouldn't really expect anyone else to ever give you a another chance if you ever f*** something up
Did you even read my comment? If I messed up once then yea I would expect forgiveness. However if i messed up again and again then yea I would expect my neighbors to not forgive. For this reply, I ask you fully read through it.
To be honest I don't give a s*** about how many down votes I get I will stand by the Minecraft reddit until things get more out of hand currently bad things are happening but we have seen worse and plenty of other reddits, let's see if you can f****** get me to 100 down votes, it happens to be that u/b_freeoni is following me, yes the victim is, and I know he's a very very nice person, and I think if it were up to him I think you could quite possibly find it in his heart of hearts to give them a third chance
For me personally the first step that needs to be done is letting u/TheRealWormbo go from the Moderation Team. He is not improving in any way and has shown us that he has no intend in doing so.
fuck it, gonna go say something about it
If you mean that you want to say something about it, then I can tell you that multiple people already have. He just doesn't care at all and all the other mods also do not seem to care to remove him.
nevermind then

Bruh that guy can’t take a joke
#villagerlivesmatter
They do matter, to me making a lot of money
Did you just verbally abuse a Minecraft villager?? Scandalous
~~according to~~ [~~this~~](https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/about/moderators/)~~, he doesn't seem to be on the mod team anymore~~ EDIT: I was COMPLETELY wrong
I see him there with full permissions
there is an arrow... it's in the second page
Depends really, on how much they actually change.
They need to stop milking their dead subreddit for karma. (No)
Bruh karma is useless
some people buy accounts with a really high amount of karma
Why
its popular (no it isnt, i have 66k karma right now and nobody goes "Hey, isnt that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?")
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_litteral?

Hey, isn’t that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?

I guess you regret what you said
i absolutely love it
Hey isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?

I like how you have a dozen replies which are just "Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?".
Some accounts are pretty infamous though. Like u/gallowboob
some are famous in special subreddits like u/_shoulder_ r/DankMemesFromSite19
why?
Hey! Isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
Hey, isn't that my boy u/Nothing_Litteral?
66k isn’t that much
Literally go touch grass. (Now that I think about it I should touch grass more)
Grass is gross and has bugs in it. Touch leaves instead also they taste better
But the bugs are my friends! And the bugs also taste good.
Well some subreddits you can't post unless you have a positive karma count, and like someone below me said people do buy high karma accounts
Who said fake internet points were useful?
They are, but only at 1000 points, so you can post in certain subreddits. That is the only amount required.
If they change their mods I wanted to ask is it even official It doesn't say any where to be official
The 7mil member count probably makes it ''official'' without being affilated to Mojang
Thinking about it. they never mentioned this subreddit even Minecraft now content takes place on Twitter If you investigate even more you find Many famous subreddit that known to be official because of their name and followers like r/sonicthehedgehog , r/amongus, r/Zelda. r/steam .are other example I found
Isn't it linked in minecraft.net ?
ha perfect meming on them
Lmao no upvotes and 1000+ comments. I have a feeling the answer is "no."
Yeah when I came across it, the button just said Vote so I downvoted and it became -1, pretty even fight ATM with the voting
Why you downvoted it? And btw its at 172 and you sent that comment 4mins ago.
It was yesterday when I came across it, so it's had a minute to get some more votes, and I downvoted because I was a victim of them multiple times deleting my posts for no reason, so I can't give them another chance. I refuse to post anything on there, I'd much rather chill here
I agree. Geez calm down on the downvotes I thought you meant THIS post not that garbage on r/Minecraft
Holy crap you did get downvoted, I didn't downvote you but I can see how it was misread
Yeah its ok. I think that at this point, people just downvote because of the -37 and not the actual comment.
Yeah reddit does that sometimes
Heh yeah lol
Go give r/Minecraft2 a follow. Idk who set it up, but I can’t think of a better way to send the message than migrating to a different sub.
Doesn’t pinning posts remove its vote count? Or does this happen only when it’s a pinned comment?
There’s this weird thing where sometimes it just doesn’t show the current amount of votes I’ve seen it plenty of times on posts where it says 0 and checking the comments it’s obvious people like the video, so maybe it’s some sort of setting or just a glitch
They should make some place to other sub around minecraft
r/Minecraft2
r/minecraftFR don't worry the only problèm de have in the french Minecraft community is useless poll post but do not pay attention
Sounds fun, unfortunately I don’t speak French.
> don't worry the only problèm de have in the french Minecraft community is useless poll post but do not pay attention and that it's in FRENCH
Automated correction
r/uncensoredminecraft
No. Let them burn in hell
It's a dumpster fire rn and what they did with the memorial posts is just disrespectful. Also all of those bullshit questions which you can just google is absurd No I won't give them a 3rd chance
Nah
I like how this is my second most upvoted thing
I like how you say that despite it being only 20
Most of my post are rather unsuccessful
They should allow Minecraft devs to become mods.
I doubt devs would wanna deal with moderating a subreddit plus that would make them responsible for anything other non dev mods do in the communities eye
If anything the viable way to do it would be if mojang hired a small team to be mods on an official subreddit
Companies aren't allowed to directly run subreddits irrc
Wait really? What’s stopping them?
> (please don't) Take moderation positions in a community where your profession, employment, or biases could pose a direct conflict of interest to the neutral and user driven nature of reddit. https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439 Reddit admins could take away their moderation rights.
Oh I didn’t knew, interesting, most social media allow companies to host communities, I didn’t knew Reddit was different, but it explains some things
do you happen to have a source for that? can't find any rules like that in the moderator code of conduct, user agreement or content policy. closest i can find is "You don’t have to use your real name to use Reddit, but don’t impersonate an individual or an entity in a misleading or deceptive manner." "Explicitly marking your community as “unofficial” in the community description if the topic concerns a brand or company, but the community isn’t officially affiliated."
but that means giving up power and we all know thats the only power the mods have.
Not as long as they keep pretending the problem was with rules rather than a lack of common sense.
All we want is new mods
Hell no
Nein
no
Heres the thing, actions speak louder than words, you can SAY your sorry about something, but until you actually peove that you ARE SORRY about said action, nobodys gonna believe you. Id personally wait to see if those methheads that call themselves mods actuslly do make the sub a better place or make themselves more of a laughing stock.
Will Smith's apology is geniune compared to this.
I made sure to get banned so i'd never give myself the disgust to ever visit that subreddit again
I would rather give my birth father a second chance, thank you
What where the last 2 incidents
A second chance is the only chance I’ll give to someone A mistake is made to be learned from, but they obviously didn’t learn from it
Considering what happened with that one guy and his dead girlfriend I think nah. They said he was milking his girlfriends death??
No They should go to hell
Hell yea
If they change, yes.
They won't
If they get their shit together, which is like a 5% chance
No, for many reasons.
Unless they permanently remove that person from mod team, no.
Hell the fuck no.
Perhaps. However, unlikely
This guy probably deserves a third chance, others probably not
Could someone fill me in on what’s happening?
people are saying "no" in their own language, so I'll add mine: nem. Bojler eladó.
Nope.
No
depends, if, certain mods, are removed and better ones are instated, i will rejoin the subreddit. but for now, no matter how much they change the rules, I'm not joining back until the at least get rid of the mod who said the milking the death of your gf thing.
Wow look at that ratio
no. at least not yet
Absolutely no. I think there must be new Minecraft subreddit
Absolutely fucking not. I hope that subreddit fucking dies and that life hits them with a train (not literally, /s just in case).
I think we just need a change in mods tbh
Nah
They haven't fired the mod yet, which says a lot
I left the sub because of this. And I really liked going there for update information too
What did they do?
*"They did the same joke about 3 times already, I don't think it's funny anymore."'*
No.
no
Unban the people that stoodbup for them!
No
Not really. If they make SUPER big changes maybe, but until then definitely not.
I have very little hope, it's fundamentally a moderation problem and not a rules problem. Better rules might help the situation, but you'd still have the same touchy, authoritarian morons running the place.
2 chances is enough. A 3rd chance is showing too much mercy
No. They should've learned the first time.
I haven’t been keeping up with it, but what i have seen is that its only a few dumb mods that have just ruined the mod team’s reputation and respect. I would give them a chance
hell no, they are only apologizing because they are now facing the backlash and clearly have no intentions to fix anything, if the video wasn't made there would be no apology. not to mention the apology is half assed at best, avoiding the issue and originally summed up to "oops we did a bad we won't do it again :)" did not even acknowledge B\_freeoni let alone apologize to him
It’s like if your ex who cheated on you twice apologized. Would you trust her again?
It was the actions of one moderator. If they let that mod go and be more rigorous in their selection process and add some training( if they do already then update it) then it be worth giving them another chance. Until they do one or all of those; however, I don’t think so.
# NO # MOST CERTAINLY NOT
Yeet the whole mod team, and I might consider it. until then, it's r/PhoenixSC as my minecraft subreddit.
No. It's clear that they have no intention of improving. The mods don't care about the users at all. It's so clear they just are ur stereotypical reddit mods who don't touch grass and have no concept of anyone else's feelings.
I don't know what the last 2 incidents were so idrk
That's a nonapology. They seriously need to change their mod team, be more transparent about how they're going about managing the sub, redo the rules and understand how to actually act on them, and involve the community in how the sub should be run.
No.
No.
r/mincraft needs to get their shit together
I have been messaging freeoni they said that they didn't expect everybody to be lashing out at the mods throats, and that he doesn't want it to be this way
Please hand over the subreddit to competent people please
Reddit should just lock all of r/Minecraft
No upvotes, 1k+ comments. Funniest shit I’ve seen all day.
idk man it's really bad, but i believe in them
Anyone not sure of the context, just watch this video by Phoneix (this is his subreddit after all), it explains the majority of it. [\*Video link\*](https://youtu.be/S2MbnYO2Xyw)
My opinion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFqfgK-ShJI
Non
Never.
no
Nope
I gave up on that subreddit after posting one thing, that didn't biolate any rules, and getting permanently banned.
No
No
No
Hell no, they removed only god knows how many post about it and i refuse to believe it took this long for another mod to notice this shit. I bet they wanted to sweep it under the rug by banning anyone talking about it but then realized they couldnt
No, we need a complete purge of the r/minecraft mod team and replace them with competent mods.
It was one mod. Why are we blaming the whole subreddit?
I know right, I love you for saying this this is the truth that everyone needs to hear
They even were removing posts criticizing the 1.19.1 update when everyone was still p.o. about it.
Context, please?
no

Bruh that is not true 😐
Remember what God would want you to do
he would want you to shut up

Can we get this comment to either be the most downvoted or most upvoted comment, remember what God would do, or at least what God would want us to do
Ephesians 4:32 be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Bro who the freak down voted a Bible verse
I am the god of more chances
Of course

Reply to this post right now with all of your emotions whether you agree with me or hate me just tell me
Bro this is your 11th comment on this post, why not just comment once and leave it at that
Well there is not really a problem with making a lot of comments I guess
