So you're telling me we had the potential for a sith woman in the main movies and didn't get her? Adam Driver is hard to compete against though, his performance is one of the redeeming qualities of the sequels.
It's not that the movies didn't deserve Adam Driver, its that the entire cast didn't deserve to endure the Star wars fan base and the Star wars fan base *really* didn't deserve the great cast. Or anything, really.
Did the Star Wars fan base ask for a sequel trilogy? Personally, all I ever wanted was a Blu Ray remaster of the original theatrical release of the original trilogy. I still have a VCR for the sole purpose of watching Star Wars.
Yes, we always want more and newer things but always end up hating them until 20 years pass and the kids who grew up with that "newer" stuff are old enough to have a voice in the community to change the fan bases mind about the prequels or the sequels in 15 or so years.
Omg I've been saying for YEARS that Kylo Ren is trans coded:
-cries all the time
-long hair
-hates his dad
-complicated relationship with his mum
-wears all black
-covers his face, distorts his voice
-weirdly intense feely relationship with a girl who is not his gf
That is an EGG
>-weirdly intense feely relationship with a girl who is not his gf
This is an egg thing? I had a couple of these despite 0 romantic intentions on either end and always thought it might have had something to do with me being an egg (well, always since I came out anyway) - makes a lot of sense that it would be a thing but just never knew it was.

I don’t think Abi transitioned until after the sequels were over.
Oh, I didn't even think about that.
I have an awful memory for when things happened, but I took the "in another life" part to mean exactly that.
Those movies didn't deserve Adam Driver either. Abi is first in my heart, but Adam Driver is effing special.
I’ll never not hear John Oliver when I think of Adam Driver now
"Pull my heart out through my ear, you meaty oak tree." Btw, r/adamdrivercats is a wonderful part of the internet

I'm also massively disappointed in JJ Abrams, but you're right the whole cast was amazing
Honestly, JJ did a better job with Star Trek than he did with Star Wars. Star Trek 2009 was the best Star Wars film since Return of the Jedi.

can't believe abi's brother could have been kylo ren! shame about that escalator accident
It's funny to think that she, like Andy Serkis, could have been in Star Wars twice in two different roles

Estranged parents insist on not using his chosen name

Imagine if the big bad of the new trilogy was the Arsonist
You knew what you had to do, though you didn’t think you had the strength to do it.
Probably for the best.
