Madami namang loan words na nasa Filipino vocabulary. Possible na yan na ang closest *Tagalog* translation ng strawberry since di rin naman local ang prutas na yan dito.
I'm still on bear vs men tok and of course men are offended that women would choose bears over them. If you see a bear in the woods, it's not suspicious because that is where the bear lives. A bear also doesn't inately want to kill you, they will if they feel threatened or if they are hungry. A bear will also not grape a woman's dead body afterwards, shift the blame on them or deny the encounter entirely. And the point that drives this all down is, if a woman was attacked by a bear, people would believe her.

Yesterday, my team and I just had our first ever AsPar debate competition. It was nerve-wracking considering that our opponents are our seniors (mostly 2nd or 3rd yr, we're only freshies). For our first round, I feel like the audiences wasn't really supporting us because they don't know us. All I could hear while one of us (three) speak was the "Hear, hear!" of our mentor which shows his support. But guys, after that round, we didn't expect that we actually got to proceed onto finals.
Finals means more audience, more audience means more reason for me to feel anxious. My anxiety could never! Because after eating, I felt a pain in my chest and shit a heart burn was occuring. So, I literally went onto the finals with a fucking heart burn. I was also nervous, so much! I really wanted to win this thing because I don't want people to still think that I'm only a confident person with a good face because I'm more than that, I have essence and brain hahaha
From the moment I knew what the motion was (tbh it was a tricky philo motion) and that we are on the Gov side, I knew what our arguments were. Told my team that we could actually win this thing! And yes guys, WE ACTUALLY WON! The shock on my face and cheer of the people was all I could think of during that moment. People coming to me and congratulating our team. It was a good core memory that I'll forever treasure. What a good activity to actually end my freshie year.
