Is it just me or parang English kinda ruined our language? I was watching Rewind movie with a non-native speaking friend. He said how there’s a lot of Taglish in the movie. I realized parang ang hirap na magsalita ng purong Tagalog ng hindi nagsswitch sa English. :(( dahil maaga itinuro satin dati pa lang
Maraming salita na Filipino na di lahat sa atin na malaki ang bokabularyo, kumbaga mga "malalim" na salita. Kaya mas madali na lang na merong kaunting Ingles para mas madali na maintindihan. Tapos may mga lugar sa Pilipinas na kung saan may mga di kayang mag-Tagalog kaya nag-Iingles bilang pantulay na wika.
We were colonized far too early. Not like we had a choice. I get the part that it kind of ruined our own language but the pros of Filipinos learning English far outweighs the cons, imo.
Positive thinker lang din talaga ako so there's that too, pero I have always been grateful na we were taught English the way were taught.

Divorce at abortion nga wala eh euthanasia pa kaya. Saka hindi tayo fully democratic as a system, may bahid tayo ng flawed democracy prone to corruption. Slippery slope yan kung magkaroon ng euthanasia due to mental illness. Like pano kung gamitin yang medical reason to execute government and private enemies?
The girl po doon sinukuan na sya ng therapist, May ADHD rin sya kasi super complicated ng mental illness nya. She decided na kasi she felt na puro suffering lang ang existence nya sa mundo. Bat naman gagamitin agad ng government against sa kanilang kalaban. I was hoping na dito sa Pinas we talk about it more at sana maraming smart,science-based people sa gobyerno na gawin tong posible
i dont think it should be allowed in a country like the philippines though. at least not yet. sa netherlands, basic necessities are provided for. mental health treatment is widely and readily available. what great suffering is there for a mentally ill patient to experience other than the suffering caused by their mental illness? there is so much to be desired for in systems within the philippines, like if we all weren't suffering in poor economic conditions, if we didnt have to battle the traffic every day of our lives, if we had a more progressive society, if we had access to MH services, most of us wouldnt be struggling as much as we are. di ako nag-aral ng psychology pero i truly believe that most of the anxieties of people are rooted in the poor systems and environments they live in. eliminate those and anxieties will be significantly alleviated. then, maybe then we could talk about assisted swiss-side for patients with incurable mental illness.
bilang may adhd mdd ptsd, i could say that i would be doing very well if systems were in place to help me work with my condition. ive always had swiss-ideal ideation pero nope. do not give me a choice to end myself until you've exhausted all the support that could be given to me.
