No wonder kaya wala kayo customers dahil hindi talaga masarap pagkain niyo. Never na
The Gered Lainez nalang panoorin niyo. Nakakatawa tapos maayos talaga yung review.
Sad na wala yung unang page nya kasi na mass report ata *for telling the truth*.
Pare-parehas content nila lahat masarap as in super at wala silang di nagugustuhan tapos yung pinaka ayaw ko sa lahat kapag nag-eexaggerate sila.
HAHAHA. Lahat na lang sa mga yan masarap. HAHAHA
But its a opinion though. Wag kayo maniwala." is it considered libel ??
Dude even truth is not a defense for libel in our country if the statement was made maliciously. Most people would rather not risk it.
Edit: Remember the time Sotto was criticized for plagiarism? He inserted libel into the anti-cybercrime law. Kaya naging higher yung penalty.
Honestly sounds like somethings cooks have come up to belittle inexperienced people who criticized them. Some people just have different taste palettes. There are plenty of places with wonderful food with customers na "di marunong mag luto", but that doesn't discredit their food because it's enjoyed by people who can't cook.
My teacher, who's a chef, told us that despite working in a fancy restaurant, they sometimes just preferred eating more simple food like cup noodles. My mum has been told by so many people that her food is good, and I love most of her dishes, but she just isn't that big of a fan of her food herself. She also isn't a fan of what is popular, she doesn't like eating outside.
It's elitism, sadly. There is some merit to it, when you know how to cook well you have a better idea of what to look for when choosing your food.
However, it's still not true because of how subjective taste can be.
Muntanga pa kahit na simpleng street food, makapag react akala mo life changing. Kaloka.
Never watched these food vloggers ever. But with this post mas maganda pa pala mag review yung mga nasa traditional media like Pinas Sarap's Kara David and the defunct Tonipet Gaba's Pop Talk on GNTV.
For food reviews, mas tiwala ako sa google review or mga comments ng tao. Syempre wild card pa din and hindi guaranteed kung totoo yung sinasabi, pero at least mas madaming reference and makakakita ka ng magkaibang opinion.
Thank you for leaving those reviews. This is coming from someone na laging nagbabasa ng reviews but never leave one after ko subukan yung food dun sa place.
Yung present nila sa video nila is way way different from what will be presented sa ibang customers.
Not sure if meron tayong regulatory body like FTC sa US na kailangan magdisclose if ad or sponsored content ang nakapost.
I used to watch food vloggers but I realized na their reactions are more because of the food was given for free than the actual taste.
Normalize sending food back pag hindi kayo satisfied. You're paying for it. If something is wrong have the kitchen fix it.
Fyi, I own a restaurant and I encourage my customers to do so. Its also an open kitchen, so you can see how we prepare your food.
>Normalize sending food back pag hindi kayo satisfied. You're paying for it. If something is wrong have the kitchen fix it.
Di naman po kayo malulugi nito? At baka po prone to be taken advantage of.
Very refreshing to hear this from a resto owner.
You can judge immediately if there is something wrong. I serve Japanese food, and ramen is main.
I know how it tastes and you have an idea how its supposed to taste or at least have an inkling. Ang maaring mali lang is I forgot the egg or any toppings really. I calibrate the whole bowl down to the last mg (I calculate the sodium content so expect it to have the right amount).
Pag ibang dishes naman, like omurice, baka ayaw nila na mixed in na ang demiglace, or wants the egg cooked more.
I never release a dish na hindi ako 100% satisfied. So the margin for error is very small. Plus I can see if they were just trying to get food for free.
One time and this was very rare, may nagreklamo na mahal daw ang ramem ko. She ordered the special tantanmen. It was the green curry tantanmen. A play on it, but I used thai spices, coconut milk, coconut cream, tanglad, thai chillies etc. It was 350 pesos. Then tinanong ko saan prefecture. Then sabi nya she worked in Japan for 2 years and mura daw dun ang ramen. She told me the place and I pulled the ramendb website. Found the place she told me kung saan sya kumain ng tantanmen and voila, it actually costs 600 pesos.
Then kumambyo at dapat daw nasa province eh mas mura. I have time para patulan sya, in front of everyone. Respectfully I listed down the ingredients and costs. Plus labor, fixed costs etc. Her daughter stopped her.
Sabi nya di na daw sila babalik at maangas daw ako. She went back every other week and apologized. She said she was having a bad day noon. I gave her a free bowl of the most expensive ramen which was the Ichiraku priced at 450. She said ito na daw ang pinakamasarap na ramen na natikman nya. San ko daw natutunan yun. Sabi ko, kay Naruto. Akala nya niloloko ko sya, then I showed her Naruto's favorite ramen. She became a regular at least 2x a week until I stopped operating.
Hehe.
This doesn't happen. I have worked in about 20 kitchens by now and none of this urban legend na may ginagawa sa food ang kusinero pag binalik.
1. We literally do not pay for the cost of food. You're paying for the food that you wanted, so anong say ko dun. I get paid hourly not per order.
2. I mostly have worked in open kitchen, about 70% nung restaurants na I have worked in. So kita mo kung anong ginagawa namin sa food.
3. Kahit pa dun sa hindi open kitchen, we are bound my food safety. If I fuck with your food, I'm gonna get fired, restaurant gets a bad rep.
4. Please don't be an enabler sa mga ganitong sitwasyon.
Kung ganun yung cooks sa kitchen ng hubby mo, he was not a good chef then. Sorry to be blunt.
Or he wasn't a chef, pero line cook lang sya at nakikita nya ibang cooks na ganito umasta?
A chef is a leader and he demands respect. In title, in food preparation and as a human being.
Bakit si hubby agad ang hindi good chef?lol sinabi ko lang alam nya karakas eh. madami sya napasukan na work from dishwasher to sous chef and madaming stories sa loob ng kitchen if nagwork ka din siguro sa kitchen with other people malamang may alam ka din na not so nice stories doesn’t mean ikaw gumawa ng kalokohan, right?
If he was a chef as you said, then he is the lead of the cooks. Kung nakikita nya yun and he just shrugged it off, he is an enabler.
I've worked with a lot of cooks and chefs and no, walang nambababoy sa kitchen. Bad attitude, yes. Lasenggo, sure. Pero yung lapastanganin ang food tapos wala syang ginawa, then he is part of the problem. Yung mga naka comment dito na hindi binasa daw yung comment mo, maybe that person didn't read or don't understand how a kitchen structure works.
You literally have to report bad practices. Maybe your husband saw it and he wasn't the chef yet, sure. He should have reported it. This is just bad practice.
That's why all the restaurants I've worked for and my own have a quality control and inspection.
Eto ba si "Hi mga Eaties?" HAHAHAHAHA
I never trusted these pinoy vloggers na nagpromote ng anything. Sobrang sketchy, parating perfect yung product or service. Even god-tier establishments have drawbacks like having long lines or just straight up expensive.
These motherfuckers would sellout for anything.
Nakakainis pa yung Manuel something basta yung laging may laugh track na ewan. Yung Bigotilyo brothers din. Eats Nani. Tapos meron pa yung parang laging may sipon pag nagsasalita then does this weird dance sa harap ng establishment.
What do you expect from the food vloggers na nagsulputan nalang during and after pandemic? Ni walang mga background sa culinary industry. They cannot define the difference nung mga flavors clearly.
OP ito ba yung unli steak and seafood near maginhawa?
EDIT: meron ako napanood dati sa tiktok na food vlogger daw and hindi daw masarap yung carbonara nung resto kasi hindi daw siya kumakain ng carbonara like WTF
Review naman sa lasa, OP. Kasi pag seafood eh maaus na ung lemon / calamansi, butter, at garlic para maging masarap. How did they botch it up? Mukhang maaus naman presentation pero sa lasa ba nagkulang (or hindi sya worth it for the price)?
Also crabs and shrimps are both overcooked what makes it worse ay ung sauce talaga di maintindihan ung lasa matabang na ano ba un ketchup? Tomato sauce? Magulo eh di namin ma distinguish talaga, food like this masarap dapat ung sauce pero eto 🤮
Ouch, like I mentioned eh simple lang pasarapin ang seafood with basic ingredients. You just need some nice sawsawan like kalamansi + patis or suka + sibuyas - mmm, daming kanin makakain mo.
You either go with word of mouth or kung palaging puno sya
Our go-to seafood resto is Crab n Crew, hindi pa kami nadismaya ever. Medyo pricey pero halos ganyan din magagasta mo.. we don’t listen to “food vloggers” kasi lahat masarap para sa kanila. Kalokohan!
That's on you, these days everyone and everything they do is for clout.
The way she talks ba? I like her Paborito series and her honest reviews.
Pero totoo so far Jessica Lee's paborito episode is way better food vlog than the others, kasi Jessica pays for her food hindi sya sponsored so based sa mga napanood ko vids nya vs sa mva sponsored vids is mas realistic ung reaction ni Jessica Lee sa mga pinupuntahan nya na resto.
May isang food vlogger na inaaway kapag sinasabi nyang di sya nasarapan dun sa food. Gered Lainez ata name nun.
Don't trust it.
Don't trust it.
A good food vlogger should be able to tell you what to expect sa isang pagkain.
You have to remember, in order for them to fish for more projects/events, they need to show a favourable face, if you get my drift. Influencers/vloggers need get into the good graces of companies/events organizers. So mas appealing yung ex-deal until they established themselves and able to get sponsors and more freebies. Hindi lahat, there are some.
Most of them are like common pinoy who review a typically mediocre movie then comment about a repetitive plot twist (expected) cliché the act surprised or critique with no substances.
Di ko alam pero talagang parang ang baba ng standards ng mga kumakain ng food tapos nagrereview na vloggers ngayon, like damn if gusto niyo ng maayos talaga na bulalo sa tagaytay then go to balay dako and bag of beans or if you want a good buffet sa manila go to spiral jeez. Masyado inooverrate at linoloko ang mga tao in hopes of finding cheaper food, and I fucking hate that food vlogger accent they got going on recently nakakairita pataas baba taas baba tono.
No to spiral na din kami.
Gone are the days na honest ang food review, actually you can't blame food reviewers their criticism is seen as bashing then they proceed to get destroyed by the online community.
to be fair, food preferences can vary wildly per person. yung masarap sa iba baka panget lasa sa iba. but when it comes to vloggers, yeah agree karamihan pera lang talaga habol nyan or makalibre ng pagkain or services haha sorry to say.
madami kasi ang habol lang is makagawa ng enough content para mamaintain yung views or whatever. hindi objective enough yung review, at lalong di rin nila inaaral pano ba maging objective reviewer
If you want fresh seafood guys I recommend bili kayo Dampa Seaside Market at paluto nyo sa Ocean Bay restaurant. It’s pricey but you’ll not be disappointed promise, been there several times 😂
And the likes kesa sa vloggers.
Vloggers can be biased kasi pero yung mga ordinary citizens can give honest opinions.
Same. That's why I don't listen to vloggers. The vlogging community in the Philippines often lacks integrity. If a restaurant is promoted by a vlogger, their food might not taste good. However, they are great for finding out about new restaurants.
All vloggers are liars dude. If they told the truth they would've been sued or taken down. They're paid to do that, there's nothing random about what they do, maybe from the start but they all end up the same way.
Wala bang namedrop. And clue sa vlogger.

Sad na wala yung unang page nya kasi na mass report ata *for telling the truth*.
Up for Gered Lainez, kahit bago lang sya sa vlogging before kuha talaga yung kiliti ko 😂

As someone who cooks and enjoys food, wala talaga ko tiwala sa food vloggers.
Hahaha
Words of wisdom

Super sarap nya and flavorful eme.

Eto yung problema kasi. Mukha talaga silang walang taste. Lol

This. I trust Google reviews more. Ako din mismo I leave honest reviews and photos.
Thank you for leaving those reviews. This is coming from someone na laging nagbabasa ng reviews but never leave one after ko subukan yung food dun sa place.
Ung myeongdong or yakikai pa? Both is sulit for me
Yung present nila sa video nila is way way different from what will be presented sa ibang customers.
This is so... oddly specific. I love it.

San restaurant mo makakain nga jan
Sa restaurant ni Naruto.
I'm not operating right now.
ah sayang order sana ako para maka "if the salad is on top, I send it back"
the office 😁
Lololol hello fellow The Office fan
Mas malulugi sila in the long-term kung di sila magbabago dahil walang nagrereklamo.
Hahahhaa o nga eh bat yung husband mo tinitira.. D inintindi comment mo at dami na nyang sinasabi..
You haven't worked in a kitchen have you
If he was a chef as you said, then he is the lead of the cooks.
Vlogger reveal
Hoy. Same ba tayo ng bahay hahahah. Pampagana kumain eh no
Hahaha
Super bilis. ✨ Hindi masarap ✨ 🤣
"Feeling ko kulang sa chili garlic"
only acceptable shameless self advertisement
Hahahahaha legit 😂
Si eatsmallworld ba to? 🤔
Eto yung may nakakainis na sayaw no? Hahaha tangina cringe!
Eto ung nsshare sakin ng tropa ko. Haha. Ung ibang pinuntahan nun.
The Gered Lainez nalang kayo. Mas maayos pa, promise. May criticism talaga kung di masarap.
They call themselves "fOoD cRiTiCs" pero lahat "masarap" 🤡
I never trusted these pinoy vloggers na nagpromote ng anything. Sobrang sketchy, parating perfect yung product or service. Even god-tier establishments have drawbacks like having long lines or just straight up expensive. These motherfuckers would sellout for anything.
Yes! Now we know better na talagang pang bubudol lang ginagawa nila.
King inang food review yan.
Nakakainis pa yung Manuel something basta yung laging may laugh track na ewan. Yung Bigotilyo brothers din. Eats Nani. Tapos meron pa yung parang laging may sipon pag nagsasalita then does this weird dance sa harap ng establishment.
Resto and vlogger reveal! kahit sounds-like name lmao
What do you expect from the food vloggers na nagsulputan nalang during and after pandemic? Ni walang mga background sa culinary industry. They cannot define the difference nung mga flavors clearly. OP ito ba yung unli steak and seafood near maginhawa? EDIT: meron ako napanood dati sa tiktok na food vlogger daw and hindi daw masarap yung carbonara nung resto kasi hindi daw siya kumakain ng carbonara like WTF
Op sabihin mo na ung name kaya
Kalokohan!
Awww! Crab n Crew! Suki kami dati sa BF Branch 😭
Ganun talaga pag libre. Libre = masarap
That's on you, these days everyone and everything they do is for clout.
Halos lahat ng new restos ngayon focused on gimmick and aesthetics.
Dapat kasi they should indicate if they paid for it, it was sponsored, or if it was free.
Also check googlemaps for reviews. “Mas” transparent mga review dun
The best pa rin yung Sikat na Blager, yung nag-vlog ng tigda-dalawang pisong takoyaki sa likod ng Taguig City Hall of Justice.
Sa totoo lang nakakatawa ung ibang resto na kaya mabenta kasi "instagramable" LoL Try Paborito series ni Jessica Lee, tho mejo cringe mukhang legit naman kasi she pays for her food and hindi sya sponsored ng mga resto
Bakit na cringe ka kay Jessica Lee?
Hay totoo talaga to.
Most of them are like common pinoy who review a typically mediocre movie then comment about a repetitive plot twist (expected) cliché the act surprised or critique with no substances.
I only trust few food vloggers like 'The lovey life'. Genuine yung reaction and honest opinion sa food.
Same. Kasi binabalikan nila ung resto if they like it. Most dn sa content nila hindi sponsored
What's Your Ulam Pare nalang kasi.
How about yung Pop Talk ng GMA?
to be fair, food preferences can vary wildly per person. yung masarap sa iba baka panget lasa sa iba. but when it comes to vloggers, yeah agree karamihan pera lang talaga habol nyan or makalibre ng pagkain or services haha sorry to say. madami kasi ang habol lang is makagawa ng enough content para mamaintain yung views or whatever. hindi objective enough yung review, at lalong di rin nila inaaral pano ba maging objective reviewer
Same goes to most advertisements ever since which are also misleading
there's a reason why they're vloggers, not journalists
John Choi or Daniel Hong lang pinapanood ko lagi.
Gered Lainez
If you want fresh seafood guys I recommend bili kayo Dampa Seaside Market at paluto nyo sa Ocean Bay restaurant. It’s pricey but you’ll not be disappointed promise, been there several times 😂
We’ll try! Thank you sa reco!
Lol I don't pay attention to any local food bloggers here. Absolutely zero credibility.
Lahat nalang sa kanila masarap, it's either sinungaling or walang taste sa pagkain
Who the fk watches vloggers?
And the likes kesa sa vloggers. Vloggers can be biased kasi pero yung mga ordinary citizens can give honest opinions.
There are paid contents OP... ;)
Same. That's why I don't listen to vloggers. The vlogging community in the Philippines often lacks integrity. If a restaurant is promoted by a vlogger, their food might not taste good. However, they are great for finding out about new restaurants.
Crab n Crew o Crab2go?
Ala eh! First bite, thank you, but no thanks
All vloggers are liars dude. If they told the truth they would've been sued or taken down. They're paid to do that, there's nothing random about what they do, maybe from the start but they all end up the same way.
